I love that speech about House predjudices. Very true. You put it very well.
I love this Snape. Just the perfect parts bastard and good man. Moving on!

That's a so great story. I really like it. this chapter give me much fun especially cause I'm a french girl and sometimes I smile with your french language. And then I think to every author I gave a review. they probably are still laughing with my english writtings. Just let me tell you that you speak very well. Did you learn it at school?

Yes, I did - but it was a very long time ago! Mercy pour les bon mots.
I am breathless with wonder at this fic. A masterful story, grippingly told, WHY HAVE I NEVER READ ANYTHING BY YOU BEFORE!!!

Thanks for the kind words. You might want to check out "Into the North" at Sycophant Hex or Fanfiction.net. If you're a Lupin fan, prior to HBP I paired him with an OC in the "I Married a Werewolf" series. The extended version of that is archived at The Sugar Quill; the shorter, not so good version at FF.net.

I forgot to mention - I wrote under the name Chocaholic at The Sugar Quill, if you happen to go there.
Jeez, poor Hermione.? That was so depressing, you really have to have Severus realize her true value and all that.? S'il vous plait?
good chapter. its a wonder she didn't offer to fix his hair. I think Nora will be a fun part in this story.. waiting for more. p
Ok... her foot is in the door. What's next? ^_oGood work up till now, can't wait for the next chapter. :)
One of the things that is really nice about this story is that I can come in, having only read chapter two, and not be lost. But now, especially with the mention of Hermione's marital woes, I really want to go back and read the first and third chapters. This is a story that simply urges me to read more.
I enjoyed the start of this and can't wait to read more. I like that we have the background on her marriage and how it failed. It's all very plausible. Thanks for posting.

Thanks so much for your kind words. More will be coming soon.
Delighted to see that you're posting this brilliant story here; it certainly deserves to be found by so many readers as possible! You should consider posting your other masterpiece "Into the North" here, too, I think! I've read it myself several times, each time with great pleasure. I'll have to add "Snape, a History" to my favourites here straight away...Happy New Year in a few hours!
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Happy New Year in return! I'm sure I'll add Into the North eventually, but I need to get this one finished up first. It's now in various states on four different sites, so it's just a tad confusing to keep all the posting straight. Thanks for reviewing!
This is a good beginning!? Your characters have a lot of depth -- it's so easy to make someone out to be a bad guy, but humans and human relationships are so much more complex than that.? I'm a happy ending junkie so I do hope this ends happily, but I'm certain I'm going to enjoy your story.? Thanks for posting it!
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Thanks so much for reading. It'll take a while for Severus to get into the swing of things, but don't worry - I'm a happy ending junkie myself.
About effing time. Yeah, I'm a fountain of sympathy... </sarcasm>
It's mighty suspicious that Severus dressed up and came all the way to see her. Twice. :D
His hair... lol She just can't let it go. Too funny. :D
This story has one of my favorite lines when Snape asks if she wants the baby before or after marriage. It is one of those lines that stuck with me. I originally read this story on another site, but I didn't review simply because I didn't really know to do it. So I now know better and am trying to make amends by trying to track down the stories that I really liked and reviewing. I was so excited when I realized which story this is. Thanks for this and the other stories.

You're quite welcome! I, too, have tried to review on another site and am constantly stymied. I'm glad that you're able to do so here.

Nice. I enjoyed this very much. You kept everyone in character, had a good plotline, and wrote a rather touching story. I did love Snape's characterization very much. It seemed very true.
Wonderful story! I've read it all the way through! Most excellent! Thank you for sharing!

This was a thoroughly enjoyable story. I think you did an excellent job portraying the range of emotions Hermione went through from beginning to end.

A wonderful story. Thank you.If the muses see fit, I think a sequel set during Mairin's years at Hogwarts could be quite entertaining. Those poor boys. . .
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Can you imagine dating Snape's daughter? The poor thing could end up a spinster for no other reason than that! Thanks so much for reading.
Brilliant! I love it when Hermione can leave Severus at a loss for words. And I thought Harry was going to explode! I'm still chuckling!
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
