Reviews for Snape, A History
I've really enjoyed this story so far. It has such a fresh feel, and the flow is quick and perfect. I don't like this as the end, though. It seems terribly abrupt and isn't very satisfying, even if we do have a happily engaged couple. Please don't end it here.
But, whether it's the end or not, I've enjoyed this story quite a lot, and I hope you continue writing. You've a very enjoyable style amd engaging characterizations; this story is a wonderful addition to fandom.Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Thanks so much. I'm so glad that you enjoyed it!
A mesmerising Snape-way to propose. A matter of fact. Nothing to consider. Whatsoever. I simply love the way you portray him. Your Snape holds any mention of fluff so far at bay that it has no chance of penetrating to him even if it hits him straight in face in the form of a dance recital. Marvelous.
But - when is the book coming up again? Is Hermione going to rewrite it so that it would bear the story's title? Or is this the real-life Snape, A History?

Soon! The chapter's in the queue...
It .. it ... it's complete? What happened to the book? Does anyone chicken out and run away at the wedding? Does Ron plunge into depression upon hearing about the wedding? Do Severus and Hermione end up attending dance recitals themselves? Inquiring minds want to know! Please? Loved your story and would dearly love assurance that they lived happily ever after.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Assurance is definitely on the way. Thanks for reading!
Complete? Wow. It does feel a bit abrupt, although I loved the final conversation. Probably very conventional of me, but I'm left with a feeling that an epilogue to tie things off wouldn't be amiss.
All that being said, I just loved this story, and especially the characterizations of Hermione (older, sadder and wiser) and Snape (bemused to find himself in a relationship, but giving it a go).
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
I do love older, sadder, wiser Hermione and bemused Snape. Thanks so much for reading!
“You can’t understand what you don’t understand.”I'm still giggling over that--and, of course, the image of Severus attending a little girls' dance recital.Perhaps their own daughter's in the future...?
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Wait and see...
Are you really done with this story? I hope your not. I love this story so much, you must go on. Please??

One more chapter in the queue!
That was....poignant.I like Nora she cheers me up.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Just the type to drive Severus crazy, isn't she? Thanks for reading.
"Snape marveled that Hermione hadn’t yet begun to tap her foot impatiently. " - Again laughing.Oh boy. It's on now!

This: "Unfortunately, Hermione’s eyes strayed to Snape’s hair just at that moment. It did not go unnoticed."Made me have a good laugh.I think you've done a fantastic job with Potter's character and dialogue.
Best line: "Voldemort regularly lacked common sense"This story is so plausible it's just downright scary.
An amazingly sensible and effective chapter. I suspect that Snape may be starved for company in circles outside of his Squib assistant.
A painful realistic chapter. Ron is so IC and I can just picture all of this going down in 10 years.
Merlin's Balls! That chapter was so full of surprises, from Nora the pimpled squib to the awful haircut to Snape wearing trainers! I loved his narrowed eyes and polite but disdainful dialogue.I am officially in love with this story.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
More surprises on the way. I do like to do something a little different with Snape now and then. Thanks for reading!
Wonderful dialogue with the Weasley twins. Very IC.Love the Social Welfare program, fantastic original idea and logical that Snape would have to suffer such a program after the war. I can't wait to meet your Snape!
I love your account of why the Auror office is so large and how the wizards tend to ignore anything unpleasant. Excellent observation."Perhaps she wouldn’t need to talk to Snape after all." - yeah right.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
If she didn't need to talk to Snape, there wouldn't be a story, right? Thanks!
A great beginning. Realistic.
that little confrontation was handled quite admirably by Snape--I'm glad to read that they're progressing quite nicely.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Poor man. Just when you think you have a quiet moment to read the paper, right? Thanks for reading.
Huzzzaahh!! They patched things up!!
Hermione wouldn't be Hermione if she didn't take the High Road.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Yes, Hermione is always on that High Road, isn't she?
This sucks--the choice the magazine's giving her, that is. What will she do??
at last, some real answers from Snape. . . as always, more and more interesting w/each chapter.
Magazine publishing is better than nothing. Too bad the WW doesn't use the internet; cos then all Hermione would need to get published is start her own Blog! As for the kiss, hope there's much more coming . . . .
Thank goodness Ginny is successful at keeping Harry in check, with all of his blind prejudices.
Not lemony, but it's a start. As for not knowing, "You Learn."
