Reviews for Snape, A History
Christmas, is, well, a drag; but Hermione's got some interesting New YEars' plans. . . . ATta girl!!
Hermione's crusading tends to be, well, overzealous; Snape is NOT a 'charity case.'
oh, I can't wait for Harry to tell Ron. I expect there to be at least one "You went from me to SNAPE?" outburst from Ron, even though the divorce was (as) amicable (as possible) and he has a new tramp.
I think that was a perfect way for Hermione to admit her feelings for Snape. Nothing horribly romantic, over the top, or mushy. Just a simple admission, almost casual, after an atypical Harry interaction. Wonderful job! I can't wait for the next chapter.
When they're together, it's always a 'meeting of the minds'.
Hermione's lucky to have two terrific, intelligent, sensitive parents, since she's in for a rough ride.
Ah Snape. How gentlemanly of him to give Hermione hangover potion.
Stick a fork in this one; they're done. They can't be themselves with each other. Pathetic.
thank goodness Nora's just an assistant!
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Not to worry. Just an assistant.
Wicked of Hermione to throw out that bombshell just when he least expected it!
I'm hoping 'ol Ron will meet some lovely Veela-ish gal (like, say, Gabrielle Delacour) and give Hermione the divorce they both desperately need.
Yes--Hermione needs a crusade to lift herself out of the Weasley-doldrums. to be fair to Ron, I just think he'd be a lot happier w/one of the other girls from school--Lavender, one of the Patil sisters, Hannah or Susan--just not Hermione, his 'best friend.'
UGH!!! I have a love/hate relationship with cliffies. I love to write them, and hate to read them. This was a wonderful chapter. Also, I love how you wrote Hermione and Ron's torment over the divorce. I'm sure a lot of couples go through the things they did, and are more upset over the failure than leaving the other party involved. BRILLIANT!!!

Thanks! I know what you mean about the cliffies! A couple of years ago, I was reading a fic in progress where a new chapter was posted every Sunday night at 6 pm. I would be drooling at 5:59 and ready to throw things by 6:10!
Just wonderful! I love the way you managed to avoid the sex scene. In fanfiction the plot of a story is so often just a hoax to lure the couple to bed, and then THE scene plays out. Yet, here we see the implications of all intimacy expressed in a way that somehow feels much more infimate. I loved it. Simply loved it.
I'm a bad beta for not reviewing more, but ... once again, I have to tell you how much I like the way you ended this chapter! That last paragraph tells us everything we need to know.
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Yes, indeedy, it certainly does! Less is more.
there's isn't a ship in canon I loathe more, and this is it. It's sooo boring. At least your Ron isn't abusive.
The frist fight is always terrible in a relationship. Eachone feel miserable in his loneliness and none want to make the first step over reconciliation. Fortunately Severus is not so silly. Maybe it's the privilege of age. It's always a pleasure to read your story so I'll just add a final word : thank you.

Thanks so much for your lovely sentiments. I really appreciate them more than you can know.

How evil of you to leave us hainging right in the middle of that kiss!!! I love this story. Please update soon so that we might finish the kiss!!!
Response from Kailin (Author of Snape, A History)
Hmmm... I think that your imagination can fill in the blanks quite well!
woo hoo.. lay another one on him..
good chapter. glad everyone ended happy.
waiting for more.

More happiness on the way. Thanks for reading!
Oooo! Sup at her place! This should be interesting, to say the least. ^_^ Cheers!
It's impossible not to be on tenterhooks about what happens to these two, especially since the plot developments aren't always what you'd expect. The fight in the pub was realistic and genuinely upsetting, and the making-up part totally believable.
You gave me chills. Lovely.
Well, I'm glad to see that I was both right and wrong. I knew that Severus has far too much pride to let Hermione's lie pass without kicking up a shine...after all, it's never an especially good sign when someone lies to you even if they have good intentions (it makes one wonder what else they might be lying about). However, I'm glad that Severus came around and realized that she was in an untenable position -- that the only way to get her book published would have been to throw him under the proverbial bus, but he would have mocked her for making the sacrifice on his behalf. I suppose it shows that Severus is growing, since the old Severus/canon Severus is able to nurture grudges for a very long time indeed!
I was R&R over at SH, but I've decided to pick the story up here instead. This was a lovely chapter. I'm so glad they've braved the waters of their first misunderstanding and made it through relatively unscathed. I look forward to the next installment and the continuation of that kiss. *wink*
aww what a lovely way to make up :))
Thank you for the receipe. I'll certainly try that. And a big thank you for letting the two of them to make up so quickly and moreover in such a delicate and straghtforward way. Cheers!
