Reviews for No Loyalty in the Moonlight
This chapter gives me the creeps. I don't like this Shriver character at all... He seems to have some perverted fascination for Hermione.

Oh, my! I just clicked the side bar to scroll the page, except it did not. I read:Hannah was halfway down the stairs before she realised it. “Mr Shriver, they had something to do with the headmistress’ death. I just know they did.”The wee ghost nodded, and the two floated more cautiously toward the Entrance Hall.Wow. That was chilling. The wee ghost is to be trusted. After finishing the chapter, the chill disappeared. The ghost is on Hermione's side, and that's important. Just, why was Shriver aroused? Because he figured that they battled the Dark with sex? And wanted to join/watch/experience?
I would never have expected a milk toast such as Hannah to start so much trouble. Hopefully she'll make a fool out of herself and save Severus and Hermione some trouble.

Hi Sinbad... so sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this - RL intervened... anyway - I had to laugh in total agreement with you. Hannah, a troublemaker? Glad to hear you're as irritated with her as I am... Cheers!~ Ari

I know all about RL, it keeps fetting in the way of my writing LOL. Not a problem at all. Ciao

The best chapter so far. You have woven this tale so skillfully; I can't wait to see the finished tapestry.

Ooo, I wonder what Hermione saw. Perhaps she's once again gaining her ability to see ghosts? Or is Hannah something more....?

I feel like I've read this so many times yet I always forget to keep going and then forget I've read the first chapter (which is extraordinary) and it starts all over again! But not tonight. I'll keep reading. I have time :)

*smiles* What a lovely compliment on the story - it touches my heart and makes me smile. In honor of your reading, then, I'll just say "Welcome to Hogwarts" (which is, oddly, the last line of the newest chapter). Enjoy, and if anything gets too mysterious, I shall be here, quill in hand, to illuminate some of the darkness for you :)Cheers, and enjoy!~ Ari

I wonder what's happening with the ghosts? If Nevile faded away, how was he able to return?
Response from Ariadne AWS (Author of No Loyalty in the Moonlight)
Hi, Sinbad...The seed brought him back. Perhaps it was the power of her wish, perhaps it was the blood of the ghost whose hand it pierced, perhaps it was something more... It should not have happened, though - he was reduced to a mist, and Poppy has never heard of a mist resubstantiating.Thank you, as always, for reading and reviewing!~ Ari

Ragged.Ehm. The dictionary says that I'm using this word in a wrong way, yet the thesaurus does not provide a suitable alternative to what I feel now. Shaken or shattered come to mind, but they do not describe it at all. Ragged sounds right. It might not mean what this chapter evoked, but it certainly sounds like it.

Good chapter, I loved how Minerva gave Albus the rough side of her tongue.
A dandelion seed wrecking so much havoc (btw, dandelion has medical properties in the muggle world), someone hearing a splash of ghost blood on shreds of Hermione's window (I reckon Severus heard), her firm resolve to face the Unspeakables. One can just taste the final resolution at the tip of your quill. Everything is coming together so nicely. I just hope there is a solution for Horace's soul in his body. And a big thank you for your comprehensive reply to my review of the previous chapter. The reasoning to conceal essential information to feed the public its desired picture sounds like a true contemporary political decision.
There is a sentence in this chapter that persuaded me beyond doubt that this story will require some serious re-reading once it is completed. Always, with each chapter, I had a feeling that I do not understand, and that it makes the mystery all the more appealing. But here, I find that this sentence should be an answer. Yet, I perceive it as another question. And the sole reason for this, I fear, is my lack of memory just why would the Unspeakables have the need to conceal Hermione's actions if her soul-splitting was a secret. I don't remember the details, do I?
Response from Ariadne AWS (Author of No Loyalty in the Moonlight)
They know what she did, so they are in on the secret. And it is deeply important, in their opinion, that the world never know that it was Hermione's actions (and Ron's), not Harry's, that ended Voldemort. Would it have mattered, at the time, had they said "It was really all three of the Trio who were victorious?" I don't think so, but it's complicated by the fact that what she did was Dark - very Dark - and she didn't want to remember (I can't imagine living with that knowledge) and they encouraged her silence. For the world to admit that it took a Dark act to defeat Darkness when the myth of the Boy Hero was based on the deep-seated assumption that "Light will defeat Darkness" - that was a binary. And binaries are easier for cultures to accept than shades of grey. She did Wrong for the Right Reasons. They chose what seemed the easier course - sweep it under the rug. And she was a teenager, and had just destroyed her boyfriend's soul. I don't think she was keen on taking the limelight for that. So in effect she disappeared by her choice, encouraged by their making the path of silence easier - here, be a Professor. *sighs sadly for poor Hermione.Anyway, it's taken me so long to post this story that I'm not surprised bits like that don't stick in people's memories... :) You remember details just fine; it's your writer who's not writing fast enough for the story to be able to flow as a WiP!Thank you for your review,

Brilliant !!! Another stunning chapter.
More intrigue! This was very poetically written, and I'm looking forward to more updates.
Great to see an update! Love the story. I look forward to more.
I'm so happy to find a new chapter. Further, I'm also pleased you'll have alittle more time to devote to this story, definitely the most enigmatic in this ship.
I'm totally entranced (still) by the little ghost, her tiny dragon and her interaction with Neville. I wish some talented person would give us an image of her with the little dragon on her shoulder.
Awesome!
That was unexpected, the dragon comming back to life that is. I think, if I understand correctly that Hermione made a breakthrough of sorts.
Ariadne, the explanation of the undercurrents of their first sexual struggle (I would not call it making love, as they time and again fight forces far greater then I can even understand) fitted this chapter wonderfully. Thank you for including snippets of earlier events with the explanations. It helps me believe. Not that I did not, mind, one cannot read this story without trusting the author completely. But having an occasional proof that the trust is well placed, that you carefully guide us through the mystery is helpful. With that trust, I can resist the temptation to ask my myriad of questions and wait for you to divulge them as the time becomes right. So then, sometimes, just sometimes, we are treated to a chapter that provides more answers than questions. And that inevitably leads to a few earlier enigmas being resolved, and the reader to squirm in bliss. So, what I wanted to say is thank you for another amazing chapter. May your muse continue to work with you to bring us more delight. *bows*
OMG *FLAIL*I truly don't know how you are writing this story. But man alive, it's riveting!!!

Well, other than the typical "what the hell is going on!?!!111four", no, not really. ;)
Great chapter. I can't wait to find out what happens to Slughorn's soul (does it inhabit Minerva's body?), and to find out how Severus and Hermione rectify the situation. I am thinking that Hanna is going to cause some commplications?
Another thought provoking chapter.
so has Slughorn's soul moved into a ghost or an object?
Severus , a potential Hufflepuff!! Well I suppose he is self-sacrificing enough.
