Reviews for No Loyalty in the Moonlight
what a story! i have run out of discriptive phrases. thanks so much for the update and the recap
Honey, you are killing me. How am I supposed to survive until the next update?
Wow..I have lovely shivers going down my spine. Wonderfully written.
I love this story. Some of that sounded like chaos theory. (Or at least it sounded like the paragraph that I've ever read about chaos theory).
I don't know what to say - gorgeous.
I'm not sure if I understood what happened in this chapter. I think the gist of it is they can now repair souls.
And here I naively assumed this chapter was The Answer. Although I never expected Slughorn's soul to mend, the seed should have been explained. But contrary to my belief, we have learned all about the metaphysical mechanics of the seed (this whole seed business would have been easier to understand had the "blow a wish" bit of culture been universal. As it stands, thanks for the verbatim explanation) in the previous chapter. This one set the scene for yet another seed mystery. There are still Roles to play in this chess game. Excellent! = means we will read more chapters!
I nearly forgot - the chapter titles are inspired!
All right - I'm on chapter 3 of this story. Normally I never interrupt my reading of a new story to review but I am going to break my rule. This story is incredible - incredibly well written, incredibly well thought-out, incredibly entertaining, and incredibly original.I have only one word:WOW!
Brilliant, just brilliant, thanks for writing such a long satisfying story. Your whole story was very real, multi layered and intricate and very metaphysical without any dodgy religeous overtones. I read the begining some time ago and tucked it in my favorites, and this time I read it all the way through with enormous pleasure. What a brilliant plot, I really enjoyed the way the whole story was about Hermione and Severus, great characterisation they are just so real, but your other characters, Neville & Cassie, Poppy, Minerva etc. were all fully rounded too. You have a great talent & I hope you will write many more great stories.
Wow, just wow. What beautiful and stirring chapter.
Good ending. I'm not sure how I feel about Hermione's referring to herself as dark.

*nods* Thanks for reading!
I'm glad I waited until you finished this before I began reading it. There is too much going on in this story to read it piecemeal.
Two soulmates who SHOULDN'T be together? I can't wait to see where this leads.
Gorgeous ending for a gorgeously written story!
I can't wait to read what you come up with next!
wonderful, wonderful ending to a superb story. thanks so much
Sorry see it over.
But I take it Hermione and Severus will have a relationship together- not just a working one?.
Nessa.
So Hermione and Severus are literally in it for eternity... great! I loved the little side plot of Cassie and Neville, I loved how Hermione finally said good-bye to Ron, I loved the fact that she got along with Harry and Ginny – and the live story was awesome, too, of course!
Oh wow... such inspired writing and an incredible ending. Now I will go back to the beginning and see if I can't make sense of the stuff I didn't quite understand! Fantastic stuff!
Do I need to say I loved this? No, that's a given.
No Loyalty had very strong points in its favour since the beginning. The expositions of problems Hermione faced for decades captivated and especially scarred the reader profusely. I liked her ignorance of her real-life surroundings (window crack, pillowcases) and her inability to perceive spiritual beings. It demonstrated the Darkness in a way that direct description did not.
The idea of her entering the Darkness to begin with was a more fitting way of destroying the scar Horcrux than what JKR decided to throw our way. Imaginative, realistic and it fully avoided the religious aftertaste of canon. However, all throughout the story I expected a hint that Ron is aware. A communication with him. It would be such a fanfic tool to use. I'm glad it was absent. It gave the story substance and distinguished it amongst others in the archives.
Thank you for writing this and sharing it with us.

... A Walking Shadow is actually complete and has been for a long time - I've just not finished posting it to this site. RL intervened for a while, and then I was focused on finishing this tale. I'll get back to posting it eventually, but probably not before midterms. I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review :)~ Ari
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT!!!!!!! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! This can't be over! *WAILS*!!!(Yes, I know I have to read it over but STILL!)Okay, wait, who's Cassie??? Is she part of Hermione???*wails hysterically at story being over*
Response from Ariadne AWS (Author of No Loyalty in the Moonlight)
Oh, heavens! *hugs you fiercely* Cassie is just Cassie. Just the ghost of a little First Year who was killed when the Death Eaters attacked the Hogwarts Express. Just Cassie. A wee little ghostie with a gentle compassion who never had the impossible trained out of her...*hugs you again* It'll be okay. Really. Cassie's right here, waving shyly at you...Thank you so much for reading the story,

You did a wonderful job tying up the loose ends, and to end it with Cassie and Neville is just charming :)
