Reviews for His Draught of Delicate Poison
I'm either Lord Voldemort or Sirius Black, it just depends on how introverted or extroverted I am being that day. Your story is interesting so far, but I am having a little trouble reconsiling your AU with the texts. I may get used too it though. lol
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Oh, we are *very* AU, my dear. This is Regency Romance smacked down in the middle of Potterverse. Isn't it odd ... I suppose Voldemort was an introvert, but how did an introvert attract so many followers? I guess Hitler was an introvert as well ...
Response from lupinschewtoy (Reviewer)
Well I not only have gotten used to the AU, but now I eagerly await another chapter. I try to encourage you wonderful authors to write faster because I read a little voraciously and can get bored waiting for something new. I guess I'll just have to start writing and shoulder my share of the burden huh? Can't wait for the next chapter.
I really enjoyed Lucius here. And Hermione of course.
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Yes, but don't we love Lucius a little more? Thanks, SW!
Nudge... I guess I'll have to go read the rest of this at Ashwinder. Congrats on the Multifaceted wins by the way.
You know, the whole time I've been reading this, I was like, "Is this supposed to be a Regency-styled story?" I was uncertain (didn't see any author's notes saying so). I thought maybe it was just me. But now I see the note about Georgette Heyer and am smiling. Very nice work, this and that. I am happy they are "getting along" so well. Muahahahaha. Looking forward to more.
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Oh, definitely regency! I'm glad you found the notes. She delights in devilling him! Thanks for the review, Southern.
I am interested in how he came about choosing fleur too and will remus pick tonks agian? cant wait for hermione to come
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
I can promise you that we will understand, in time, why he has chosen Fleur! I think that Remus truly loves Tonks, but he isn't very good at being firm about it. Thank you for taking the time to leave a note for me.
I forgot to ask. Why isn't Hermione's name on the list?
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Her name isn't on the list yet because she has been staying at home with her parents. Once she becomes an inmate on Grimmauld Place, she will become the responsibility of McGonagall and Company. Don't know if I should feel sorry for them or not, having Hurricane Hermione on their hands ....
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
And, *I* forgot to say, Thank You for the Reviews!
Thank goodness. I was about to say, "Where's Hermione?" and checked the category to make sure it wouldn't be a Snape/Tonks story. And Lupin... what's he so jealous of Sirius for anyway? That's her cousin. It's not like they shagged... Oh. Or did they? LOL
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Oh, no -- I don't think I could write a Snape/Tonks story ...
Lupin is tied up in a few knots himself. I don't think he believes that Sirius and Tonks would shag -- but he does hate having her so obviously distracted by Sirius' attentions.
hahaha! Fleur? Grrr!!! Hermione? UhhuhMuahahaha.... Somehow I think he's gonna enjoy that stay in more ways than one.
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
But can't you just see the headache coming on now? Severus is so *tense*!
oh i love this
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
I'm so happy you're enjoying it! Thank you!
I loved this story. It' so very romantic! I really grew to love your OFC's. I'm so glad I finally read this!
Man, I put off reading this chapter for a couple days as I attempt to get some Christmas shopping and wrapping done. All the while I'm DYING to get to this. All I can say is I'm soooooo glad I did take those extra days to get here as now I "hopefully" have less time to wait for the answer to "What?". You can be so cruel sometimes!! But really, one more excellent chapter to add to the others. I adore the way Severus' mind kept working its way back to Hermione. Every thought path ended with her! (Ahhh to be the end of HIS every thought!!)The "you should have asked Fleur" moment and subsequent answer as to why SHE wasn't the one to attend to Stormy was perfect! She just keeps digging and digging, doesn't she? The best part is that she doesn't even realize that she's doing it.Again, I'll be anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Thanks once again for this truly wonderful story Sweetie!!!
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
*wipes brow* Oh, you were shopping and wrapping -- good girl! I was going to send out a team of St. Bernards, armed with flasks of brandy, to search for you.
I am cruel. It's one of my finer qualities!
I completely sympathise with your desire to be at the end of *his* every thought.
Fleur is completely obvlivious to why Severus feels the way he does about Stormy's illness. I honestly think she is missing a chromosome or something. Please believe me, my dear, when I say that readers such as you make it all worthwhile to me.
I am always hesitant to read stories where one of the lovers is already involved with someone else. It bothers me that that someone has to be hurt for Snape and Hermione to come together.
I had actually skipped over this one several times before finally consenting to read it. It is definitely well worth the aggravation of a (previously) unliked plot.
On another note, I took the HP Personality test... I'm Lord Voldemort. I swear, I laughed for over a minute (without breathing)!
Awesome stuff.

Hi,
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
! I'm glad you decided to give the story a chance in spite of your reservations. I hope you'll let me know what you think as you go along --Lord Voldemort!
I loved Severus & Hermione's trains of thought at the beginning of the chapter. Just a hint of humor in with the romance.
Okay, I've finally had time to sit down an start reading this again. I had read the first few chapters awhile ago, but got distracted with my own writing and a busy real-life schedule. What I wouldn't give to live caught up in a fantasy world able to read and write all I want!Anyway, that's not the point of this handy little box. I am now making a pointed effort to review everything I read, because I figure I should start practicing what I preach about leaving reviews for authors. I really like this story--the Regency-style that it is without being Regency. Severus' interaction with his sisters is great. Hermione is great as the "take no BS" type of woman. And Fleur just needs to go to... Your Draco is charming. I never thought I would find myself rooting for Luna and Draco to end up together. Lucius is up to his delicously devious ways. And Severus just needs to realize what's in front of him...I bow to you!
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Hi, doll! I'm pleased to know that you're enjoying this story. Your take on Fleur is spot on with my other readers; they would just like for her to die. Preferedly a violent, bloody, humiliating death.I am pleased that you like Draco and Luna. I thought it would be fun for Luna to get a fairytale prince for a husband.Lucius is wicked. I adore him -- though canon Lucius is not so nice!Severus is ... slow. *sigh* But, as an author, you know we have to keep him clueless for a while! Thanks for the note -- I do adore them!
Once again, you have done a masterful job with the interactions at the ball. I can't wait to see the outcome of the dance. But, what is Val up to...?
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Ah, is this your first time through HDODP? Val is, as you may guess, up to No Damn Good. I shall enjoy your journey through!
Response from Prof M McGonagall (Reviewer)
I think I read the first few chapters before and then got interrupted by RL. But I can't believe I haven't read this before now!
What a lovely picture of Severus rocking his little sister.
I somehow missed finding this story until now, which made for a delightfully long read...ending in a really cruel cliffhanger! Now that's just mean!I love your story, your characters (and I usually hate original characters, so well done!), your take on Rowling's characters, and just about everything else about this. Please hurry with the next chapter, because if I die of suspense I'm totally coming and haunting you.
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Hi, Jadedseeress! Welcome to the story. I'm so pleased that you liked it enough to read all in one go! I plan to upload the next chapter very soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with me -- it means more to me than you know.
That is an extremely bad cliffhanger! I hope you have the next chapter up soon! As a reader, it is horrible not knowing whether one of the characters is going to live or die...
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
I'm sorry, truly! The next chapter will be uploaded soon; it is already written. Thank you for caring about little Stormy!
No, no, no...please tell us that you didn't kill off that sweet little girl! That's just not right! You'd better be prepared to give us another new chapter soon and make things right, missy!
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Yes, Madamoiselle! I'll upload it soon, I promise. Thank you for caring about sweet little Stormy.
Ack!! You can't just leave us there!!
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
I'll upload a new chapter soon, I promise!
I loved all the various interactions in this chapter. Quite entertaining!
Teehee! I love the argument between Severus and Hermione. She really knows how to stand up to him. :)
what a story..write more soon:)
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
Hi, Entmaid! I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I hope to update this week! Thanks for the note!
When these people get together to do something they tend to do it up right!! I'd LOVE to go to the zoo with them!I can't single out the parts I liked the most because I'd just be repeating the whole thing practically. Let's just say "wonderful job" and leave it at that. Until next chapter....
Response from Subversa (Author of His Draught of Delicate Poison)
I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter, doll. It took some time to get everyone in the ballet dancing in the proper direction!
You're such a faithful little reader, it's tempting to just keep posting every time you review.
Response from Bentwaters (Reviewer)
Well just so know.... I sure wouldn't object!! hehehe
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Characters were well defined; actions and dialogue rang true; and the conclusion, well let's just say, was satisfying (blushes).
