Reviews for Denial
So close, yet so far. At least they both have come to the conclusion that they should act, they just need to let the other know that fact.
Uh-huh. No intentions. Yup, let's see where that goes. Why do I think there might be some trouble in the near future? Of course Cordelia is pretty much required to be married to Severus (or someone) until she's 50, though if she's a few years older than him and given the time it's been since Hogwarts, that milestone should be coming up. Then it's just Theo to deal with.
No need to feel guilty any further Hermione. You know both Cordelia and Theo are unfaithful and I think Theo could use a taste of his own medicine.
Welcome to the wizarding world, poor Hermione. I knew that Severus would know about his wife's paramour. What a horrible thing for her to have what she wanted in life snatched from her. I'm still rooting with Lance.
Well, Hermione is second to last to the party. LOL Poor girl. Of course she's still tethered to Theo, but something tells me there might be a way to change that.
LOL I love her babbling as she tries to ask if he'll escort her to the castle. Of course the Hagrid bit was priceless and poor Hermione so insulated from everything and self-absorbed to not really wonder what people think about Cordelia. Of course she's becoming more interested. ;)
Lance seems to be the most level-headed of the whole bunch. If Severus has learned to be a good judge of character over the years, Lance seems to have perfected it. Nice to see the two of them getting along and maintaining the truce.
Good girl Hermione. Way to get out of the self pity and grab life by the horns. Hopefully her folks will come around and hopefully working with Severus won't go pear shaped.
Oh, my. I could almost see that coming. That's what happens when you bring your paramour home - something Cordelia was at least discrete enough not to do for the most part. Since I haven't read this before, I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm on pins and needles for the finish.
Well, this could prove very interesting indeed. At least she seems to be regaining her senses at least somewhat. Perhaps Lance can help her see the truth in Severus' words.
Ouch. She was warned, but it is a hard thing to hear. I wonder what her next course of action will be?
I am enjoying this story sooo much. I can't wait to see how it ends...but I don't want to see it end. KWIM? So good.
And...I wonder what is going on with Hermionie. I bet I know...now to find out if I'm right!
Well, at least Hermione has a full ally in Lance (who I am definitely starting to like) and a partial ally in Severus. Something tells me Theo's going to be taking a lot of trips in the future and Hermione is definitely going to end up playing pretend.
Oh, poor Severus. I wonder if he was worried about Hermione or his own feelings upon noticing the Goblin rings. Of course I'm sure he's thinking the son will take after the mother. I can't wait to see how things are going upon their return.
Oh, nothing like those pre-wedding jitters, of course in this case I can completely understand it. Lets smack the Ministry fools who thought this idea up with some stiff boards, shall we?
Uh, oh. Do I sense a little bit of jealousy from Severus? And I wonder how things will go with Hermione's parents, not to mention will Theo really be able to let her have her career? It's sounding like Severus was correct about that.
And now Hermione will find out if what Severus had to say about Theo was right. She could be facing a very difficult choice.
Why do I get the feeling that Severus is right? He doesn't want Hermione to make the same mistake he made. *sigh* Onward.
Okay, like Hermione I am very curious to know why exactly Severus thinks she and Theo are unsuitable for each other, especially since Draco seems to think otherwise.
Oh, Draco. I appreciate his desire to shake things up, but might not have been the best idea. Of course Severus does give him more leeway than others might, so I doubt he'll get in touch much trouble. And poor Severus, so heartbreaking he had his 'Kings Cross' moment, but chose the other way and had it stolen from him
Poor Neville. Good on Hermione for looking out for his feelings. I so feel for all of them caught up in that whole mess.
Oh boy... Severus came very perilously close to bollixing (bollocksing?) up his declaration of love! And Cordelia almost certainly knows of their plans. That could be good or bad. I'm guessing "bad." Of course, Severus and Hermione could flee to a country that doesn't have the Marriage Law... and set up house... and then even once Cordy turns 50, she won't be able to marry Everard -- unless Severus grants her a divorce. She only has the power for a few short months more, and then she'll be wanting a divorce, too.
Well. This changed everything - and I mean everything! Not just his declaration - there's also Hermione with her full breasts and wonky emotions. I get the feeling things are going to happen rather quickly!
Another brilliant chapter - I'm already salivating over the next one!
So now she knows, I'm sure she won't let go without a fight, Hermione's home could be part of the price of freedom.
Dun dun dun! Let the confrontation begin!
Many thanks for the update. Looking forward to rereading the next chapter!
