I'm a dabbler in poetry and fiction, and I simply adore Severus Snape and my favorite ship is SS/HG. I love to read and travel and fanfiction is my escape from the mundane!!
Reviews for Stained Glass Shards
This is such a rich and multi layered story. Love your characterization of Severus and the way the story is unfolding so carefully one layer at a time. Can't wait for the next update.

Thank you very much for your review. The next chapters are in the queue, I hope you will enjoy!
Ahhhh... so the questions about how Lucius came to join the Light are answered... but now there's a question about Hermione being the Lady. Looks like she's not a straightforward Muggleborn, which is a concept I LOVE. :) And Eileen (Prince) Snape is still alive? Whooo! Interesting that Severus and Hermione have some sort of destiny together. I'm sure she *loves* that idea when she learns of it. (Considering how much she loves Divination....)

;) I do love a penitent Lucius! And he has had it rough, for sure... Hermione is a bit special as you will see, still Muggleborn, but definitely more! And Eileen insisted on being alive as I got into the story! I tried to make her a spirit, but she was adamant that she be living and breathing!
Ooh! Intriguing. This is really well written and exciting! Look forward to the next update :)

Thank you so very much. I have the next part in the queue.
Wonderful!I kept passing on this story when it would come up under "Newly Submitted" because I was afraid it'd be too depressing. It's not; though it is sad at parts. It's so wonderfully written; and within your writing I know there's hope since we are looking onto the past right now. It's such a new, fresh concept and I have loved every minute of my reading so far. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Oh, WOW! Thank you so much. It means a lot to know that I have caught your interest. I am so glad you took a chance on me!
It sounds like Hermione's been through more emotional and physical trauma than most people could stand and come out sane, so Snape's really got his work cut out for him in helping her to heal. Having been through a panic attack myself, I have a fair idea of what Hermione will be going through. Gripping stuff, I'm really looking forward to your next update. :)

Panic attacks are not fun, and when you add in everything else it can be truly daunting. I think our girl has the strength to pull it out with; some help from our fave guy! So glad you are reading, and that I struck a chord with you! More as soon as it goes through the queue!
Oh, this was so good to read, well done! I can`t wait to read more...And I wish someone would be able to shut up those two dunderheads... ;-)
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Be watching, more is on the way! They are dunderheads, aren't they? We'll have to see what happens! Thanks so much for reading!
Well... I'm riveted. :)

Awesome! Hope I can keep your interest!! More as soon as possible!
Wow, wonderful story! I do suggest someone transfigure a zipper for the boy-who-lived-to annoy's mouth! Then hit the side kick up side the head and see if anything rattles. Loved that Severus is the narrator and that Hermione obviously is dependent on him. As usual I see Albus is holding back information. If he'd done what Severus obviously expected him to maybe the two idiots would have been a little better controlled. Then again, I doubt it. Just the fact that he was more concerned about his pain and his loss shows where Harry's thoughts are. I can't wait for more! Please update soon.

I am so glad you like this story! Harry does tend to be a bit "poor me-ish", doesn't he. As for Albus, I see him as a master chess player, always seeing the next move, rather than the pieces he is using... More as soon as it goes through the queue!!
Brilliant story.more soon please. thankyou.

Thank you! Next part as soon as possible!!
It's really refreshing to find something so different - and also so well written. I especially liked the opening of the first chapter & your almost poetic prose. Now you have me intrigued aswell. Look forward to seeing updates of this interesting fic! :-)

Thank you very much. Stay tuned, more to come as soon as possible!
Thank you so much for a brilliant update. I am so totally hooked on this story, it is brilliant. I absolutely loved how Remus told Harry to shut it, obviously way to few have told the "chosen one" what Severus told him: Not everything is about Harry, and Harry has no rigth to information who doesn't concern him. In all its seriousness, the slip about Hermione turning Ron down made me smile, he really is a prat and both he and Harry are really, really bad friends (if they can even call them selves that) at the moment. I must not fail to tell you that this is extremely well written, you know how to tell a story, that is for sure. And, I am very, very much looking forward to read more.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thanks for such a great review! I think that Harry needed to be told several times that everything wasn't about him. Neither Harry nor Ron can understand why Hermione would go against "friends" regardless of the circumstance. We will see if they ever get over it!
Excellent chapter! I love your story telling! The way that everyone is reacting is very realistic. I love the sacrifice for Draco especially. I'm sure that will become important later on. I could smack Minerva, though. Does he have feelings for Hermione, indeed! lol I'm enjoying this incredibly! Well done!!! :D

Thank you so much... I have really enjoyed writing this story. I am so glad you are enjoying... more as soon as possible!
Again, definitely a thrilling chapter. I like the narrative behind it...the different format and Snape telling the story to everyone. PLEASE update soon!! Also, on a side note, I was reading the second paragraph when my cat knocked over an inexpensive glass pitcher and I had to halt reading "Glass Shards" to sweep up glass shards. Hehe.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I a so glad you liked it!! And that is hilarious about the cat... I'm glad it was inexpensive though! Next bit up as soon as possible!
Excellent start! I can hardly wait to hear Severus's tale. Two thumbs up! :)
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thanks! I have quite a bit done, so I will be posting right regularly!
Such a wonderful and well crafted story. I couldn't put it down until the end. I like stories with reformed malfoys the best with ss/hg romances. How you used and expanded on that worlds history added more dimension to get absorbed into when reading.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thank you very much! I thoroughly enjoyed expanding on what we already know about HP...
