I'm a dabbler in poetry and fiction, and I simply adore Severus Snape and my favorite ship is SS/HG. I love to read and travel and fanfiction is my escape from the mundane!!
Reviews for Stained Glass Shards
Oooh... I'm guessing the person at the gate is another Lady. (Well, duh, right? I'm terribly perceptive like that.) I'm kind of dying to know who it is. I mean, what if it's someone on the Dark Lord's side?? And I just want to smack Harry. LOL
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I am not a big fan of Harry and his attitude myself, I guess I do tend to write him the way I perceive him... The gate crashers should be interesting, indeed! Thanks for reading!
It's obvious that Severus does love Hermione and Alexander preciously. Harry doesn't understand it all because he hasn't seen what they've been through. However, that doesn't make it okay being the biggest jerk in the universe! He's going to have to settle down and soon, or he's going to end up losing Hermione. But who's at the gate and why did all the objects go off?
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I always had this idea that all the little gadgets all over the Headmaster's office were sneakoscopes and other detectors. Since I would imagine that no one can just enter Hogwarts, imagine them as little doorbells! Answers are coming!
Another fantastic update to your wonderful story, thank you so much. Harry is annoying me to no ends, I am almost starting to hope that someone lays him over their knees and gives him a long overdue spanking. "The-boy-who-lived" syndrome must have gone to his head, he obviously thinks very, very highly of himself. I loved that Luna now is in the tale, I really like her. I am very curious to who is at the gate, I have been trying to guess but I feel that I am not even close so update again soon:-))
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thank so much for the cheerleading! Harry is a bit of a petulant child. Hopefully, he will grow up soon! I like Luna too, she is fun to write. So the gatecrashers will be revealed soon! Updates as soon as they go through the queue!!
Another excellent chapter!!! I'm so glad that the next one is in the queue. I've become addicted to this storyline. It has all of the elements that I love the most (mystery, love, adventure) wrapped up in one fantastic package. Off to do my happy, little dance of joy! :D
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Awww, thanks so much! I am glad you like it! I am trying to keeping a chapter in queue as I go, so that there isn't a whole lot of delay. Glad it's paying off!
Hmmm, I think I have a guess. :) I can't wait to find out if I'm right. This is an excellent story!
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I can't wait to find out if you are right! Thank you so much. More on the way!
Cool beans. Now we're getting somewhere. ^_^
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Oh, yes. It should get pretty interesting!
Cowitch, Carnwennan, the darkness... there are so many layers of history going back to the time of Camelot and King Arthur. Well done!I'm very interested in finding out more about this Columbine Winters. She must be descended from one of the Five Ladies, and if she had a daughter, perhaps she will have inherited the powers that her mother had. I wonder who was Columbine descended from? Eileen is one of the Ladies of the Vale (descended from the Lady Lynette and the Knight Gareth). Severus is a Knight. Hermione is of the line of Roisinn. So that means that Columbine Winters must be a descendant of either Aine, Brigid or Morgana. And Voldemort must have found a way to harness the dark power of the Very Black Witch whom King Arthur destroyed. But how was that possible? Could Tom Riddle have found the location of Carnwennan and tried to use it? Could handling the dagger tainted with the darkness have given him his powers? If that happened, where on earth could the dagger be now?Don't mind me; I'm just musing over the information in this chapter and trying to see how the threads might come together. Thanks for another very intriguing chapter!!!Beth

I am so glad to know I have captured you with this storyline... Al of your questions sound like mine as I was sketching this out, writing, then editing! Keep asking and I will keep posting some answers!! More soon! Hugs, Shell
This is exciting!I'm sitting reading this chapter to my bunny - she approves ;)
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
LOL, YAY!! I am thrilled that your bunny approves and I am certainly pleased that you do to! More soon!
I don't think I reviewed before. It is not because I don't love your story, I do. Nice meeting Eileen, good to know Severus has a person loving him. Harry needs a bashing, Hermione is right that he is so in his hate of Severus that he is blinded to all other things going on. Looking forward tu updates
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I am glad you like my tale! There will be more on the way soon, hope you will keep reading!
As usual so happy to see the update, I just love the plot you are spinning here. Have I told you how much I love that you have Eileen in your story? I truly do, I love that Severus have someone who loves him, love makes us stronger and Severus will need all the love he can get to get through the war. Your updates always makes my days better, thank you so much for writing this wonderful story.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
And thank you very much for the kind reviews! I appreciate the cheerleading more than you know! These reviews brighten my days too! And I am glad to give Eileen the chance she didn't have in the books... she has been a great experience to write.
Well, let's see where their search takes them! I love Eileen in this. She's such a strong character. Bravo. I think in canon she became half of what she could have been because of her husband.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I am so glad you like Eileen! I have no doubt, if given a chance, she would have been a very strong witch. But, even the strongest break against something like her husband! I am glad to give her another chance! More soon!
another spectacular chapter, loved the weaving of the camelot tales into the story
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thank you so much! I love the Arthur legends, and have had a ball weaving them and some of my own imagination into the back story. More soon!
Another wonderful chapter. Once you have finished I need to figure out a way to download it so I can take it wherever my netbook goes!
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Wow, what a compliment! Thank you so much!
So Hermione and Severus are both decendents of the time of the Realm of Camelot and the Ladies of the Vale. How interesting! And this third person - I wonder who it will be? And does Severus know who Columbine Winters is? So many questions, so little time!
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Inquiring minds want to know!! Answers coming up! Thank for reviewing!
Oh, cooooool. So we're getting closer! Loved the info about Arhtur and the Lady of the Lake and the Priestesses and the Knight. Very imaginative. I'm looking forward to learning more about Ms. Winters. Excellent update!
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thank you! More will be up as soon as it is approved!
I wonder who the other Ladies are? Hmmm???I can't wait! Thank you for sharing~

LOL! Answers are coming, I promise! But will there be more questions? More as soon as possible!
Incredibly well done! It's a bit off the beaten path, which is a wonderful change. :)I am looking forward to seeing much more of this. Even though Hermione is having panic attacks, etc - she is stupidly hysterical or being a bratty teenager, which I am so thankful to read. The 'back-story', so-to-speak appeals to my curiousity. You are spinning this tale at a nice pace, it's clear and concise - very well written.I hope to see you update soon.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thank you so much for your kind words! I hope that you will contimue to follow my story... more will be up as soon as it goes through the queue!
Arrgghh! Another ebil cliffie! But that just fine cuz this chapter is a good as the first! Great job of holding our interest.I hate to think of Hermione being at mercy of Voldemort, Greyback, and Bellatrix. When she was being punished I ached at the thought of all that pain. Bella's enmity knows no bounds, and the Dark Lord's rebuke of her treatment of Hermione made me smile. However, Greyback's arrival and his plan gave me the shivers. I'm glad that Hermione was able to save Draco and send a message to the Order at the same time. AND, that gave Narcissa a chance to plead for Hermione's life and for Lucius to be reinstated. I hope the way Voldemort treated them will be another nail in the Snake's coffin. Thanks for this wonderful story!!!Beth
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Stay tuned for more... I hope that you are ready!
hm.... like to leave cliffhangers? I'm interested to see where you take this - keep up the good work
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I really didn't mean to leave the cliffies... lol they just kinda pop up! So glad you like my story. Thanks for reviewing.
Wow, Shell! This is fabulous. I love the connection to the Arthurian legends. The introduction to this chapter is so enticing that I had to google my way through every noun I didn't immediately recognize so I could be sure I had a good enough foundation to appreciate the magic you're weaving here. Severus must be the first born son in a direct line of the first Knight and the eldest of the handmaidens... and therefore he is the Knight of Carnwennan. If that is so, then Hermione must be the eldest daughter in the line of one of the other four handmaidens. If I've got any of this wrong, please tell me. Harry was a perfect prat, and I thought for a minute that Severus was going to have to hurt him to get him to leave Hermione alone.I'm also trying to figure out why Hermione is blind. Could it have something to do with her being summoned to the The Vale of the Carn? And who are the other Daughters of the Elements? When Hermione asked Severus "What if I never regain my sight?" he didn't answer her except to say that she and Alexander would soon get used to the feedings. Why was Hermione cursed with blindness? Why does being around Remus upset her? Is it because he is a werewolf or some other reason?Godz, I have so many questions! But I'll just stop here, otherwise I might be seen as a pest. LOL! I'm off to Chapter 2.Beth
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
I promise that all your questions will be answered!! I am so glad that you are getting into my little world here! More as soon as I can...
Lovely...so lovely. I was very happy to see the update. Thrilled actually. Then you hung us all on the cliff again. *giggle* It's all right, I like the suspense. Thank you for sharing~

Awww, thank you so much!! I am glad that you are enjoying hanging off that cliff! I may let you stay there!! LOL
Where's Draco? I know it probably has no bearing on the story, but I'm curious. *grin* Harry's being an ass, Ron's embarrassed, and Remus is pissed at Harry. Good job so far. ^_^
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Ah, yes, young disappeared Draco! Well, I think we will find him again at some point! Thanks for reading! Glad you like it!
Harry's really quite oblivious to how upsetting his behavior is to Hermione, isn't he? He's already made up his mind that Snape is a lying monster so he's completely unwilling to accept anything different. Remus was right to tell him off. I suspect he might have to resort to Silencio before Snape's tale is finished, however.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Harry is like a bulldog with a bone. He has decided he doesn't like Severus and it doesn't occur to him that someone might not agree with him... Thanks so much for reading and reviewing, more up soon.
Now this is one powerfully written and intriguing start. I have a feeling that Severus has quite a story to tell. If only he can manage to get it out without constant indignant interruptions from people determined to make snap judgements.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Stained Glass Shards)
Thank you very much! I think that Severus would agree - it is some more story! Hopefully, people won't be so judgemental for long...
