Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

Holy smokes! I'm so glad Severus is safe, but very sad about Hermione's eyes. It would be one thing to be blind, but to have them gouged out? Yowza! I can't wait to see how things end for our couple. Is a nice helping of smut in the last chapter too much to ask for? I won't say no to hospital smut :)
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
LOL! Ya know? We came thisclose to hospital Smut earlier...
Wow...you're breaking my heart over here! Get them together soon, kay?
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
'kay. *giggle*
Phew! I don't know how many times I've read this over the years, and it gets me every single time! It's such a great mix of adventure, suspense, romance, well developed characters and all-around great plot!
I love that we get such devoted S-H time, yet you gave enough other characters to round things out well. It's so nice to see Hermione and Lavendar form a really solid friendship. And even though I do like Ron, I'm always up for a bit of Ron-bashing! God love'im, he's such an easy mark!
I read this as part of the list TPP created a few years ago, a retrospective of outstanding fics over 10 years. I think I'm going to re-read all of your fics before heading back to that list though!
Thanks again for all the joy (and tears!) you've given over the years. Your fics are just so outstanding, and all of them stand the test of time so well. Love you, and hope you are well!Christev
This was fucking fabulous, really looking forward to seeing what else you've written and devouring it whole! x
I already adore this fic. Looking forward to seeing where it goes!
This was such an enjoyable story. Thank you for sharing you talent with the rest of us!

Thank you for your kind words!
I could not put this story down! I started last night and finished I between classes! You did an a,axing job, it was so easy to become submerged into the story. I loved it, thank you for taking the time to share it !
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
I liked your idea of balance and how balance does not equal fair. I don't think anything in this story can be construed as fair, but being OK with what is can take the misery out of the circumstances.Thank you for crafting such a thought-provoking story. I am glad I read it (I typically stay away from anything marked angst. I've got way too much of that in RL.)
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! Accepting balance is one of the sucky parts of RL. That's why I prefer to play here. lol.
So very well written, thanks you for a story that I have revisited many times!! Sorry I did not review sooner...or maybe I did I don't remember!
Oh, the prompts are so sick and dark! *laughing* I'm glad I didn't know them going in. I kept getting astonished by the adventurous depths of the plot. Demons!? No shit!! A scary bat-thing wearing Jason Isaacs' wig??? I love the horror of the punishment that she can neither see nor hear her beloved, and even more the simplicity of the Muggle solutions the two of them found.Looks like I've once again spent more time reading your stuff than I should have. If you have other stories elsewhere, for the moment, I don't want to know! <-- compliment:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Deal...
Noooo! Not Levicorpus for poor Snape again! Will he never be free of that spell????? ;-)And big cheers for Draco being unable, again and again, to kill. <3Biggest love of all: "Being caught between actions is anathema to your nature." Author, you are good. And of course I always love Snape wearing gray things.

YOU ARE FUCKING BRILLIANT.
I don't know if I can review this chapter without screaming your wondrous brilliance to the skies.
You've written about what makes Snape fascinating to us all.
*thrill*
Yes, the books come into play! Go, Hermione! Whoo hoo! *galloping on to next chapter*
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
:-)
Oh, thank goodness all that "pity" business is out of the way! My nerves couldn't take their nobility much longer!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yeah, that stuff had to go... *giggle*
Nice roller coaster! First, sexy and yummy! Then a big cheer as Snape finally gets his billow back. Then horror again. Then that astonishing passage about the red light bathing Snape. I don't know if you're pro-Rickman, anti-, or indifferent, but I enjoyed picturing Rickman in this stunning sentence: The light slipped just beyond the visible spectrum in time to an unseen heartbeat. Wow. So powerful.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I adore Rickman's Snape, but mine looks radically different in my head. He does have Alan's voice tho...
Her new outfit sounds stunning! I want Lavender to do my makeover! Now I am picturing "It's a Small World" playing in Snape's personal hell over and over. Heh.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Poor Snape. Disneyland does seem like torture for the man...
Heh. I just imagined some rat droppings at Spinner's End left from when Wormtail lived there. So you can live if a loved one takes your place... like Barty Crouch Jr.'s mother did... hmm. I wonder if this is going where I think it is....Oh! And I never understood it before, but you were so right and so succinct in pointing out that Ron's greater susceptibility to the Horcrux was because he still had family. Of course!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yeah. I think it was easier for it to worm its way into Ron's fears because of that...
Yeeeek! The end of this chapter turns to horror! The first parts were full of love. I remember once I was the only correspondent for a magnificent, pained man. It filled me with pride just as Hermione feels here. And every kiss she gives the top of his head reminds me of my beautiful little daughter and how I kiss her after another one of her turbulent days.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
That is exactly how she kisses him when she leaves. Affection, sympathy, and pride that he's handled one more day.
Nuanced as leaves on a tree! That is wonderful.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you!
Yup. A world of eloquence in a single Snapey blink. <3 I really like Lavender's and Hermione's awkwardness around interacting with the Malfoys just after the war. So realistic.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I thought it sounded like what they would really feel. I mean, they were *not* nice people...
Gah. There you go, writing straight to my heart again. Snape unable to communicate except with someone who cares. And the sweetly IC unhappiness Hermione feels over having broken his scowl. *giggle*
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yays!
Excellet! I love happy endings, too. I'm sure there will be some hic ups from time to time with being able to hear each other's thoughts. Sometimes, one may not want to share everything that pops into one's head, but I'm sure they will work it out. I wouldn't mind at all if you added a chapter with an episode regarding what it is like for their minds to be linked. I'm sure they will have to learn to partition some things so that when Hermione is at work she is seeing everything Severus sees. That could be quite a distraction. I'm sure what matters the most to Hermione, is being able to see and hear Severus. Not seeing all the other stuff isn't as important. He'll need to get a hand mirror and talk into a mirror when they are having discussions so that she can see his face. And obviously, sex could be enhanced with this ability. Think about one or two more chapters, OK? They don't need one about 20 years later and having a bunch of children. I also don't want to read a tragic episode about when one of them reaches the end of life and dies. With Hermione and Severus connected heart and mind, they would have to die together; if anything. It would be OK to have them die together and show where they end up as long as it's a good ending. Thank you for very a wonderful story.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
lol! I think you can imagine the rest of their lives very well without my flailing attemps at multiple epilogues! I have tried in teh past to do sequels and... yeah, not the done thing, it seems... Thank you for all your comments and your wonderful spirit!
I just wanted to add another comment regarding this chapter. Well done Draco Malfoy! Maybe now that Lavender Brown isn't so silly he and she could make a couple. He needs a Griffindore. She won't have ulterior motives like wanting his fortune. She will be brave and his life is hell for a while. And if she gives her heart to him I think she would be loyal. She's a sucker for someone who needs to be loved and who needs emotional healing. Another reason why he needs a Griffindore. They'd make pretty babies. I don't care about that much but Lavender would. She'll always look good on his arm if he still cares about fashion and image. He's paid enough for the mark, I think. He won't get his mom or dad back in this life. For now, he's totally alone, it seems. Hopefully, after The Judgement they will all be in what ever heaven is for them.
