Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

Oh my god there's no next chapter button!! This story has got me hooked, and it's now 3am and I'm probably going to dream about demons and such - your writing is fantastic, from the deadly serious to the brilliantly funny parts *i bow down to you*now... could you make a next chapter button appear, please?
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Sadly, that is beyond my powers. Sleep well, Leibchen...

Holy crap I'm not sure I should read this in the dark on my own..... *winces, turns away and presses next chapter button*

Perhaps some nice soothing music?
“Don’t blink with food in your mouth.” - this made me laugh really loudly and it's 2am here.. Brilliant!!

Oh, excellent...
Ok, this was really hard. Another great chapter. I don't really have more words for this you just left me pretty stunned. Will be waiting next chapter

*Hugs you*
You have totally hooked me with this tale! Really? Balance? No fairy tale? No unrealistic recovery? I love, love, love this story for its realism and truthful angst. Hermione is one hell of a Griffindor! I can't imagine how this will wrap up, but my confidence is totally with you that we will all be melancholy but satisfied. One more time I thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us here. Now, waiting impatiently for the finale! *Hugs*

Thank you! It's hard to resist pulling off the VOILA! Magocal Ending, when magic is part of the tale. I did cheat a little...
Wow, if this wasn't a rollercoaster! I had expected an angel to come up after the demon, but I didn't predict the blindness. And I loved the conversations, both with Lavender and Draco. - If he never spoke to her again, it was still worth it. At least he could speak. -This one had me almost in tears. And thanks for explaining that Draco was the Secret Keeper and what happened in Spinner's End (loved that the want and the knife almost poked him ;) And I also liked that Hermione reveals him what happened to his parents. And now, the grand finale ^^
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I do hope you find the finale grand!
Damn! Too much disgrace at the same time! At least they are both alive and she isn't deaf too...I'm really glad for the Malfoys, it was... less terrible than I thought (?)Hope things get better... Soon, if it is possible. XDAgain, your story is amazing, AuPsyPS: I loved the trio Snape and I'm trying to figure a way to draw them... If I do something, I'll show you
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I want to see!
You always styled yourself a Ravenclaw, but that just meant you did a hell of a lot of reading before you went rushing off like a fool Lavender has a very good point here! You will put Lav and Draco together won't you? I wonder what it will be like for Severus to be with a blind Hermione. He wouldnt have to hide his facial expressions anymore, he could let out all that emotion and she will be none the wiser. He is going to have to improve with using his words since the eyebrow hug won't work anymore. I do hope Draco trots right up to Severus' hosptial room and gives him a shove in the right direction.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I think Draco is still afraid of his Godfather... I tell you, I brought in Lavender to give Ron an 'out' but she dug her heels in and refused to read thos lines. I think she's grown sick of being tossed Weasley like a bone. Basically she let him fly right past her and hit the floor. She set her sights on someone else completely.
LOVE IT!! There was a price to be paid, but it really wasn't the most terrible, horrible thing one could come up with. I think anyone out there who loves someone as much or more then they even love themselves would see that Hermione's sacrifice was an easy one. Really. Let my loved one die or go blind and then they're perfectily fine? . . . ummmmm. duh. Did you mean for this chapter to be so humorous? It came off that way for me. Not very serious at all. And while I appriciated the break from all the drame and excitment it was sort of odd that the story took this dive into funnyville at it's peak. Or maybe it was just me. "TINY MAGICS" is where I started giggling. And then once I start giggling I start viewing other things in a more humorous light . And then you ended it all with some Hermione and Lavender humor. The drama got sandwiched in humor and therefor lost some of it's edge. I'm not saying it was a bad thing . . . i just wonder if that was your intention or if I'm a weirdo. Like when Severus was willing to kill Hermione rather than have her pay a price. It became funny to me and it was only until hours later after I let it digest a bit in my brain that I realized that was a very sad sceene. The man would rather live with the guilt of killng someone he loves rather than let them preform an act because they love him? What does that say about how much he cares for himself? Sad. Or maybe you're just brilliant for hiding some major issues under a veil of humor. Myabe you're an awsome writer because you've got me analyzing your chapters well after the time spent actually reading them. Yeah. Let's go with that.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
lol! I would say that you take away from this chapter what you approach it with. However, I will admit I was going for a 'balance' between horror and humor. *giggle*
Restoring Balance can be a bitch sometimes, and I'm so sorry that Hermione had to agree to losing her eyes. However I don't think that she will lose her sight because she sees with her heart. The only thing that gives me hope that she will physically be able to see her Beautiful Severus again was this: Hermione sobbed to hear the voice and felt her tears spilling out of her empty eyes and running down her face. If she can cry, perhaps there is something that can be done (even thought I know that the eyes and the tear ducts are separate). Silly me, grasping at straws again.
Even if nothing can be done, she did a brave (and loving) thing in taking on the Demon and saving her Severus. He's bound to be furious with her, but he still loves her enough to die for her... so I believe with all my heart they have a future together.
I also hope that Lavender and Draco will have a good future together. The way you've written their characters is awesome. I think she and Hermione will be close friends for the rest of their lives.
It just remains to be seen what Severus will do when he is healed enough to go to Hermione. I cannot conceive of his ever turning his back on her. Draco is right, I think, that he will be steadfast and will still love her to pieces.
With the other Death Eaters gone there is no way that anyone could request that Hermione's loss be restored... Severus will not be required to pay the forfeit... so maybe that means that there is no way Hermione could get her eyes restored. Questions, questions, questions!
It was an interesting dynamic you created between the Angel, the Balion Bardo, and the Demon. Apparently the Angel carries more weight than the others in a Convocation and Arbitration. The Balion Bardo called for the Convocation, and the Angel enforced the Balance when the Demon had taken more than his due by also destroying Hermione's hearing. I like that you drew attention to the difference between "Fair" and "Balance." There's a lot of food for thought there.
If memory serves, there is only one more chapter to go and I am on the edge of my seat waiting to see how all these final details sort themselves out. Thank you for such an imaginative and well written story!

Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Actually, it was the Balion Bardo that restored her hearing. The concept of balance vs. fair is one every parent slams up against when their kids reach the 'little litigator' stage. I think that had a lot of influence on this fic... As for Snape paying the forfeit, it is Harry, Ron, and Neville who the demons still owes, since they are the only others who destroyed a Horcrux. If they should ask for her eyes to be restored, Snape will suffer. I doubt she will tell them. Or Snape for that matter.

"Actually, it was the Balion Bardo that restored her hearing."Thank you for straightening me out on that point. It really does make a difference, doesn't it? If I were her, I wouldn't tell anyone–not even Snape.
Yay! I think that went well, all things considered. Now we just need to know How Sev feels... :/
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yar.
I feel selfish for being heart broken about Hermione's eyes. Dang you Aurette for writing so well that your readers identify too well with your characters. ;D I love that Hermione is finally connecting and making friends with her old classmates. It feels like she's finally coming full circle with her life and being what she should have been if it weren't for Moldyvort and his plans.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I would say she is morphong into a very complex young woman. I am glad you approve.
Sigh, not too high a price, and well worth it, but so very sad. Glad she had an arbitrator. I'm also glad of Draco and his wise words. Can't wait to see if he's right. Oh, and big tongue lashings for making me cry, you evil author.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
*hands you tissue* Sawwy...
There was a comment from George early on about fair being mistaken for balance (or maybe it was the other way around ). Losing her eyes doesn't seem very fair to us, but it seemed to restore the balance. Hmm. I like the developing relationship between Draco and Lavender. That's not something you see very often. I'm looking forward to the resolution of this story. Great job.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
OOO! You found my hidden foreshadowing! *pats you*
I am loving this story as it unfolds!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! We're rolling to the end now!
Nicely done. As much as I am pained for Hermione it is more realistic that she actually pay a price. The story is going in another direction with these events. I am so very proud of her and her attitude. Draco and Lavender are great characters as well. Hmm a future together perhaps? Thank you and Karelia for your speedy updates. I am looking forward to more. Oh, and any advice for the voice acting stuff? Thanks!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Voice acting advice: Be prepared to make an utter fool of yourself. You'd be surprised how far you can push your comfort zone until sneering as you hiss into a mic becomes common place. Also? Read your lines in short bursts. It seems to be a rule of thumb that if you get on a roll, your jaw will come unhinged and you will start speaking gibberish. I'm working on a blooper reel...
It should be interesting to see how Hermione learns to live her life blind. The convocation was interesting and very revealing. ^_^
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I can only hint at how she deals, or the fic would have grown unwieldy...
Oh, Hermione! Of course, I was thinking, "it won't last! surely there will be a way to magically reverse it!" But then the evil one made sure it wasn't an option... *cries for Hermione* At the same, time, I'm thrilling about Hermione! How many people fit a demon for their love, to find out that their love is fighting a demon for them?~iz glad demon struggle is OVER~
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yesh. Demon struggle is over. Unless someone wants to write about Harry, Ron or Neville dealing with it...
Whew, I had a feeling it was something about the eyes, but I was so freaked out by the attack in the hospital I had to go back and re-read. Wow. What a chapter. What a story. I really, really would like to weigh in with something profound or even coherent at this point, but nope, I got nothing, except a blinding (pardon the pun) impatience for the next chapter. Brilliant, brilliant.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
*hugs you* Thank you, dear. The finale is coming...
I was afraid that Hermione might have to sacrifice her eyesight as part of her bargain, but I suppose the fact that they are both alive and relatively well off was a price worth paying. Thank you very much and eagerly anticipating the conclusion to this brilliant story.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! I hope the end is satisfying.
I'm so sad knowing that Hermione lost her eyesight! To fall in love with someone whom you think is so beautiful, and then not to be able to see them visually, how sad is that?? I hope Severus realizes what she gave up because of loving him so much.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I think he will have no prob realizing. I wonder how comfortable he will be living with the knowledge...
That indeed does seem like the proper balance. And I do hope that Draco is right.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
It's all about the balance...
Response from StarryEyedNoOne (Reviewer)
That's just it... It seems these Bardo beings would do what it took to keep Severus in his strange neither here nor there balance... Would his forgiving of Hermione and their working things out despite her "betrayal" (silly thing to even think, really, some promises are meant to be broken) keep him "in balance"? Would his guilt at her sacrifice and anger at her actions balance out the fact that he loved her?Grr. I don't understand why your stuff gets queued. Isn't there a system of author certification that if you're uber enough they don't need to do that? or am I thinking of Ashwinder? lol Anyway, I'm looking forward to answers, regardless of how the balance shifts!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
LOL! Oh, honey, if you could see my stuff before it posts, you would know I am a loooong way away from being a Validated Author. I am typo on the hoof...
"Oops, well that was an ugly arrangement anyway. They were from Human Resources."I love you for that quote. I love you for the whole chapter, really. Sad and satisfying and wonderful. Thanks.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! Although Human Resources was an Amerism that I was s'posed to have fixed. Doh!
oh wow - just as intense as the last one. great chapter - very sad about her eyes...but she is alive.....
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
...and so is he.
I have only one thing to say: Oh my!Then I will add, brilliant, well written and emotional!!!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Aww... *blush*
