Forty-something, married, Professional Colorist seeks intelligent, scrawny man with misunderstood past. Tattoos a plus, snarkiness a must.
My interests include: Eating, breathing, napping, swearing and chocolate; as well as long, romantic walks from the refrigerator to my computer.
Needed skills must include: Foot massage, adoration, feeding my kids for me and ironing my husband's work clothes, along with sneering, looming, staring at me with desire, and reading whatever I hand you into my ear in a sultry tone.

Fantabulous story, you made my week!

Thank you!
Brilliant! Great job!I am so happy that they found a way to overcome their obsticles.I wish there was a why for some payback though.. grumbles
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Another reader came up with payback in a review for the last chapter. I liked that idea... Thank you for your wonderful reviews!
"Fuck that demon!"Sums everything up well, especially with the happy dance! I'm so very glad that magic (and technology, woo!) have allowed them to overcome such a terrible price paid. I felt a bit bereft after the twelvth, but the final chapter was a perfect conclusion and resolved some of my lingering feelings. That said, I'm very glad that you altered her hearing, as well. I'm not sure why I feel that way, but perhaps it seemed less straightforward, and more complicated, and was therefore more affecting, overall. Ultimately, I enjoyed this story a great deal. Thank you again for sharing it!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Having everything be all hunky-dory after it was over would have been a stretch for this fic. I am thrilled you approved!
You did quite well making everyone happy by smushing all of the prompts together. Thank you for all of your hard work and speedy chapters. This was a rather interesting happily ever after, and I enjoyed how love prevails and is beyond the appearance. I do believe that if ever I had to choose something I had to lose, it would be my voice. I think I might be able to make due. So, with the glass eyes that she had could she actually see at all? Or was it simply for cosmetic purposes? And basically she is missing her eyes right? So can she actually cry? I know the lacrimal glands produce tears and they are superior and laterial to the eye and near the nose, so she might be able to cry and release tears through empyy sockets? lol Sorry I am just trying to picture this. Here it is a touching moment in the story and I'm like "Wait, can she physically do that?" haha I am a nerd. Thanks again for another wonderful Severus and Hermione adventure. I can't wait to see what comes next from you.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
LOL! You nerd. Yesh. Mr. Aurette's granfather had a glass eye, and it could move, with the ocular muscles pulling at it, and his tear ducts worked fine. When he didn't wear the eye, tears would tend to fill the socket. Hermione;s eyes are gone. She cannot see at all. Perhaps she will be able to in teh future, but thern again, perhaps not...
This was wonderful. I love that Severus never left her, just the way she never left him.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yeah, she was a silly little girl for thinking he had... Thank you for each and every one of your reviews!
Wow. Just wow to the last three chapters. When I remember where this story began it seems like a whole lifetime has passed! What an epic one. There are many things I love about this story, but I think the best thing is that it's not all perfect-happy-ending with smiles and daisies. It's happy, yes, but it was dark and you went there, and everyone has paid their price, and it's not refundable. I like that.Anyway, well done!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! I do think it is happily ever after, just a far more realistic one then Disney would want...
Response from ArtemisofEphesus (Reviewer)
Eww, Disney. :pYes, it is very happy, but it's not like there was a magical cure-all switch that suddenly gave Hermione back her sight and all. Which is what makes it realistic too :) Anyway, best story I've read in ages.

Awesome. I clicked send before I typed. That's a first. I am really thrilled that you think so. That will give me enough smiles to make it through the week. *hugs*
Response from ArtemisofEphesus (Reviewer)
LOL, I wondered about that :DAnd no problem at all. *hugs back* Happy authors are productive authors! *nudge nudge* I'm going back and reading your other stuff now.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
yays!
First things first, have you ever heard of a tissue warning?!?! Good grief, this one nearly cost me a box. This was fantastic. The end leaves things perfectly well between the two, but also open to possibility. They could be content how things are, or they could work forever to restore her sight or hearing. Who knows, who cares, they are happy and loved and that is what really matters in the end.All that is left to say is WOW!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I would say that they have achieved their own balance. Thank you so very much for all of your wonderful reviews! I have enjoyed each and every one, and you were missed during your enforced interweb abstainence.
Good god that was incredible. Just... perfect. Probably my new favorite story. LOVE IT!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I am really happy that you enjoyed it so much! Thank you!
Beautifully written and classic Aurette: humorous, touching and clever. I agree whole-heartedly about the men with sexy feet thing. You are, without a doubt, one of the most consistently high-quality writers of any fanfics I've read, not just Harry Potter-themed work; and this story was no exception. Absolutely wonderful!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Yeah, I gotta admit that the sexy feet and long hair thing came pretty easy for me... Demons? That was a stretch! Thank you for yoru humbling review!

Reply spaz. Awesome.
What a spectacular ending! I love the twist--there has to be balance. And the use of the tape recorder and cell phone! Awwww, "...and so it was done." FABULOUS! <Loves>
Response from chowcats (Reviewer)
I was a little hesistant to read this tonight. Must go cry in the shower now (snivel...).
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
*hugs you* Thank you, that is very flattering.
Picking up my jaw from the floor here. I was not at all expecting her to not be able to hear Severus. That smacked me right in the face! How did you manage to make something so tragic so wonderful? It's beautiful. The whole story. Perfect! Love the cell phones, love the spells. You've worked some serious magic! You should be very proud of yourself! If you were here I would bake you a victory cake! Vanilla? Chocolate . . . or dark chocolate? ; )
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Awww, c'mon, you weren't expecting one more plot twist? I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have enjoyed each and every one of your reviews, and I'm sad it's over...
Response from joyp (Reviewer)
Nope, that last little surprise really got me! It's part of the reason I really enjoyed this story. I never quite knew where it was going and once I got comfortable . . BAM! There you would go with some crazy plot twist. I'm that person who sits in a movie and within 15 minutes can tell you what's going to happen and then I'm bored and mad I wasted my money. Your srories are the complete opposite of those not so fun evenings spent being too darn clever for my own good. . . .if you'll miss me that much there's always POG which I have yet to write a single review for at all. I know, I know! For shame right? I have a funny story about that one though. I'll save it for when I get back from the beach. : ) ta'!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Awww.. Thank you! I'm tickled! Don't forget your sunblock!
OMG, I LOVE THIS CHAPTER, and YES I AM CRYING...It is wonderful, and tender and I'm so glad Severus found a way for Hermione to hear his voice again....Beautiful, Wonderful chapter..WELL DONE...LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! THIS ENTIRE STORY IS WONDERFUL and SO SAVED!!!!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
*pets you*
I'm not sure what to say, other than I'm smiling. I have faith in Filius. It's obvious the two of them would figure it out, if they decided to. The tape recorder was a cute idea, I loved it. I mean, I'm sure Hermione has probably learned braille by this point, and they could have done something with that, but I'm glad that it worked. Anyway, I love this story, as you know, and I think you gave this chapter a marvelous sense of bittersweet hope.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I'm so glad that you liked it! Thank you for all of your wonderful reviews!
Brilliant. Every time I got an email this was updated I dropped everything to read it. While I found the bargining with the demon confusing - I'm still not sure what mistake she made! - that only felt natural.I also love the fact that everything isn't perfectly fixed, but rather a "new normal" is found. Excellently done.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was a lot of fun, and a lot of sweat, writing it! Just for clarity's sake: She forgot that the demon had already paid part of the price when she set the terms. So she ended up owing it. Clear as mud?
Holy cow! I don't even know if I can write a comprehensive review. This may be the time where you get your chance to say, "
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
was really OOC with that last review!" Nah, who am I kidding, I just need a moment to collect my thoughts. That Hermione is one brave gal! I would have totally lost it long ago, but even though she is afraid and disappointed that she made a mistake, she has no problem giving the demon hell. Appropriate, I suppose, LOL.I like how all of the beings are a version of Severus, and good or bad, all of them are wrong to her.I still love your Lavender so much. Bravo to you for making her such a great character and friend for Hermione. I hope she and Draco end up together and happy. As for Hermione's blindness, I don't have a guess as to whether she will somehow get her eyesight back, or if this is just the price she paid and they were persevere. It doesn't really matter to me. If she is blind, the biggest issue is her love for reading, but fortunately, someone near and dear to her heart with a super awesome voice, just had it restored into perfect reading condition. How's that for timing. And if she can't see, well, she'll just have to feel her way around when she is with him. I say get handsy girl!I cannot wait to see how this all plays out. Plus then you can get started on your next masterpiece *butters you up*

oops, indeed :)

Is it bad that I laughed? I think it was bad that I laughed...
Response from HBAR (Reviewer)
Yes, but you'll make it up to me somehow *hands you a pen and paper*
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
*gigglesnort* Plenty more where that came from. Maybe not that brilliantly inspired, but they were really awesome prompts!
I should have left a review for every chapter of this, but I've been lazy :) I loved it. Thanks for writing such an interesting and well done story!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I'm not sure there is a more lazy reviewer than I, so I think you!
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
er, thank* dur.
Thank you so much for this wonderful story! It feels right that joy doesn't come without scars.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it!
First let me say how cool it is that you and others are taking the initiative to help those who are reading impaired. What a wonderful thing to do!And you, missy, are lucky that I have another chapter waiting because I am dying just stopping a moment to type this.I really like that you put the demon words in bold and Hermione's in normal type. I'm sure in part it lends to the fact that he certainly had a commanding voice, but also keeps from having too many "the demon said." It made for a very easy conversational read. This was so Hermione, too. She is frightened, and if she weren't this would be entirely unrealistic, but she is armed with her intellect and her book knowledge and that is a sword with which she is very comfortable engaging in battle. But she made a mistake. She even expected him to be a slippery character, and yet it happened. Which is also realistic with the amount of pressure on her.I thought the conversation between the two was very amusing. It was funny, but in a way that was acceptable in this situation. It made me laugh but wasn't so absurd that it bordered on cringeworthy. And this is this super evil beast, and yet he has a politeness about him. I loved that about him.I am interested to see if there is any way that Severus and Hermione will be able to fight him together. They are both working against the demon, but yet what they are doing is now counter productive with Hermione trying to save him, and him trying to sacrifice himself for her.I did like that Hermione asked about the Malfoys. I don't know if it was for Draco so she could put his mind at ease if things weren't too bad, or if she was stalling for time, or just trying to get a better picture of what was going on down below, but I did wonder what happened to them.Ok, I could go on forever but I really must read on. I know the next one will be a cliffhanger too. Sometimes I want to strangle you for being so damn good at leaving us hanging. But then you wouldn't be able to finish the story so I've scrapped that idea. I'll just sit here and sulk about having to wait. Status quo it is ...
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I know it's bad of me to take such sadistic pleasure in making my readers dangle. However, when I saw the last chap had dropped while you were still reading, I knew I was forgiven... Be sad for those readers to refrain from reading until the entire fic is posted. They miss out on the full 360* experience of one of my stories...
Oh man, I have been without internet for a week and it has been killer *is ridiculous* Here I am now and there are THREE chapters for my reading enjoyment! After reading this all I can say is, "What the Hell was that about?" And I mean that in a wonderful way. I don't know if I am supposed to like the Balion Bardo or not, but I found them sort of charming in an all-knowing, mysterious, and ridiculous sort of way. But fortunately they were there to help her ... I think.I could say more but I really must move on to the next chapter.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
*pets you* My own comp puked a few months back. I was very difficult to live with at that time...
Oh what a wonderful story this has been! I was just bawling when she found out she couldn't hear him, and then continued weeping with how wonderfully he got around the problem. Then I wound up being just so happy that they love and understand each other. As always, you deliver a great story with wonderful characterizations and well-developed plots. I'm looking forward to the next one.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I am sooo glad that you enjoeyed my story. It was a wild ride!
You had me worried for a second there! Well, now we have relationship issues to solve (and if my intuition is leading me right that means more sex!), but there's probably going to be an angry, vengeful demon in the future. They're like flies...they don't go away unless you have a big swatter filled with holy water. Any progress with The Fountain? Or is your Netflix queue really long? I know mine would be if I had Netflix, but I don't see the point of paying for something when I'm going to be leaving the country in about a month. :) Loved the chappie! More sex in the next one, pretty please?
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
Netflix queue is crazy long and Mr. Aurette has an annoying habit of pushing his stuff ahead of my chickflix. The nerve of the man...

OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! I READ THE FIRST BIT AND I WAS LIKE YOU BITCH HOW COULD YOU MAKE HER NOT HEAR SEVERUS?! AND THEN I WAS LIKE... OH OK YOU MADE IT ALL BETTER AND OMGOMGOMG I LOVE YOU!!!!! <3 <3
Author's Response: *hugs*
beabop77's response: <3 <3 <3 I don't really think you're a bitch... I think you're the awesomest person in the world!! Do you think that you'll write a sequel? It could be like For Someone Special.... Gawshness I love you!
Author's Response: I gave up Sequels early on. It's too hard to get my head back to where it was once I finish.
There are so many to the point reviews to your excellent story already, what can I add? I'm thrilled, admiring your fantasy as much as your captivating style. I don't like that we're approaching the end of the story. Hermione would never have come out on her own, but she's happy beyond caring right now. I hope she can keep this attitude up. A certain greasy-haired male could help her.I hope he gets my drift. She had better wait a few years before telling the three boys that there's Daemon owing them--they need some decent training first. Lavender makes more sense to me than ever in canon, and might still be carefree enough to pull Draco out of his misery. Hermione's news will help, too. He deserves it.
Response from Aurette (Author of Yea, Though I Walk)
I think you're absolutely right!
