Hello, new guilty pleasure read!I always think of Ma and Pa Granger as, well... stick-in-the-muds (sticks-in-the-mud?), but I'm loving the liberties you're taking with them (and passing down to their kiddo). Ah, I see how easy it is for Severus to overlook Hermione... he's not about to recognise Silent Grace for the Babbling Wonder you've so charmingly illustrated in your first chapter! Really, this is all just great fun... slightly tinged with that ubiquitous secret desire wherein we get to try something new with no expectations of the past lurching up behind us, and we get to experience that kind of freedom for just a moment.(Severus, I know you think Divination is a bloody waste of time, but surely you haven't forgotten your Astrology!)

OH YUM!  makes me wish we had real art to see...but I SO look forward to the next chapter!!!

I'm curious... How will he find out that Grace and Hermione are the same person?  There are so many clues, but his automatic categorizing her "Know-it-all" self certainly clouds his artist's memory.  It seems subconciously he is aware, since he stares at her hands in the lab and ends up thinking of Grace.  But then there is the other tidbits of information like Hermione's parents' home address.  Or will the tattoo come into play somewhere?  Do any of her friends at school know of it?  Will they come across the painting with her tattoo and make the connection?Please update soon!

More! Now...please. This is wonderful and I just can't get enough :) Apart from the obvious, what I enjoyed very much in this chapter was how wise and understanding Hermione's mother was :)

*deep sigh - oh, yes - lovely work! lovely description of the artwork as well as the banter and chemistry between these two. I love the imagery and the picture of Snape enjoying praise and appreciation in this type of atmosphere - yum! And a saucy, playful Hermione/Grace *could feel his lips brushing her earlobe*... Jean Granger - the mother/daughter scene - beautiful!

Oh wow. The tension you're creating is both almost unbearable and amazing at the same time, for them and for us readers... I'm also wondering if Severus will find out before Hermione confesses, and also if it will be before or after the deed is done... though short of an involuntary apparition between this chapter and the next... I kind of knew where you were going to end this chapter when I began reading it today.  However, your writing was so delicious that when the ending came, I was crushed.  I am enjoying your story a great deal and can't help wondering each chapter if Snape will figure out who Grace really is before Hermione confesses -- and how much or if he will be hurt and  unreasonable.  I look forward to your next chapter.  Good job with it all. -- JoAnne

Very interesting moment between Hermione and her mother at the beginning. The scene of Hermione/Grace absorbing the exhibition paintings, finally viewing herself through the artist's eyes -- very effective. Can't wait to see how their private talk proceeds.
