Welcome to my world of (largely) erotic exploration of the human condition. (Well, that's one way of putting it anyway ...)
My writing is largely rated NC-17 and, as you will see, contains a lot of explicit detail. But I cannot write without developing believable characters, largely in canon (at least as a starting point), whose behaviour is established through dialogue and tangible situations. I adore these characters and tend to write from the inside out, getting inside their heads and simply letting them talk (and act ...). Yes, there is a lot of sex, but I hope my characters' sexuality enables them, and us, to discover deeper aspects of their personalities.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FRIEND ME ON LJ WHERE MY USERNAME IS LAURIELOVER1912. YOU CAN ALSO FIND ME ON FACEBOOK (LAURIELOVE).
My favourite pairings are Hermione/Lucius and Hermione/Severus, but I have written for various other couples and situations.
I have recently started writing original works which have, fortunately, been picked up by publishers. If you are interested in my original work, my penname is Demelza Hart.
I love establishing a dialogue with my readers. Please feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions, criticism, anything. I look forward to hearing from you!
In the meantime ... enjoy!

Hmm, so he wanders out in the morning, lets everyone think she's having a fling with "that Gryffindor boy, what's his name again?" and gets Lawrence off her back! :D
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
That sounds like a plan, although I think Severus will be much more careful than that! More imminently. x
Wow, so sweet and powerful. I like the little touches, like when he admits it is selfish of him to keep spells he invents all to himself. It is so in character to have him nonchalantly admit that and not care either way. He's such a fantastic lover, so inventive and giving, and unabashed at claiming Hermione for his own. This is my favorite ship ever, well done!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you so much! Plenty more angst and passion to come ... more now. xxx
Brazen, wanton, and utterly enjoyable. To push past the physical, and start down a road of the emotional... superb! As always, thank you for sharing~

Thank you! You are a star, do you know that? Both here and elsewhere, not least because of the complexity of your own life at the moment. I hope I can reward you with the occasional diversion. xxx
I have just completed reading this story and i can't wait for more. the initial slow but intense build up of feelings between Hermione and Snape was excruciating. the sudden bursts of physical intimacy followed by equally sudden phases of cold indifference left me reeling. finally, the gradual expression of emotions from Severus were achingly sweet. the bouts of jealousy and possessiveness show his insecurities and Hermione's forgiveness shows her infinite capacity to love. the future most certainly will bring more difficulties, yet, i can't wait to see how their relationship overcomes those hurdles. great job... keep it up!

Thank you so much for your kind and perceptive words. It is good to know that what I work hard to express does come across! There is rather a lot more angst to come, I'm afraid, not least of all in the next chapter. x
That was bloody hot! Only 'content' ? I guess thats promising.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
You must be so hot (times three) by now that I recommend an ice-cube bath ... ouch ... maybe not ...xxx
Response from Nessa (Reviewer)
Haha I do apologise! Silly internet.. or maybe I was just to flustered to notice what is was doing!

'Content' means a heck of a lot as far as Severus is concerned! x

Thank you! This review seems to have posted three times - oh well! I'll respond to them all otherwise they hang around in 'unanswered reviews'!xxx
oh crap. What's he going to do in the morning. I expect Ginny will be pounding at the door before too long. LOL. I'm loving this story!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you so much! Glad you like! xxx
Unfortunately for men, their need to "claim" their women is incredibly strong when they're hit with jealousy. Hermione was incredibly brave and strong too, by realizing that if that was what Severus needed to do, then it was okay with her. By her reaction alone there should be no doubt, though that she truly does belong to him.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Very well put. You have understood this and expressed explicitly what was only hinted at in the chapter. Yes, she realised that was what was needed. In a way, she was reminding herself of what she needed too, however complicated. More now. xxx
that was... well, harsh. but very realistic at the same time.A very beliveable situation, and very well written. =)Just waiting to see how he's gonna apologize for that.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you! More now. x
His reaction was raw and primal in nature, Hermione's was one of deliberate acquiesence. I feel trouble brewing for our favorite pairing, perhaps if she were older she would have understood where his fear was coming from and tried to assuage him,but then this wouldn't be such a lovely angsty story.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
She can certainly put up with a lot. She seems to feel he's worth it. xxx More now. x
Oh, goodness! I'm not sure who to be upset with. She knows he has issues, and is insecure about their relationship. She should be more careful about the things she says and does. On the other hand, he is a grown man and she is right, he needs to start acting like one. She has shown him and told him how she feels about him. She shouldn't have to tiptoe around him all of the time.I'm disturbed that he felt the need to force himself on her, as if that was going to solve anything. And also that she didn't protest, and let it happen. It was just an unhealthy moment. I wouldn't call it a rape scene by a long shot because regardless of the thoughts she was having, she was willing and could have stopped him if she really wanted to. And I believe that if she had, he would cease and desist immediately. So why do I still feel the need to call for the damage control team? Yikes! We'll see what tomorrow brings. Great chapter!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
I don't think he felt the need to force himself on her, he simply lost control. His jealousy was overwhelming and forced its way out in that way. He probably hardly knew what he was doing, but her eventual acquiescence did not pull him up to stop. More now. xxx
Gads that was rough nearly rape...but expected from Snape. I hope he will applogise.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
He better bloody had! Let's hope it's soon. x More now. x
Ooh, excellent. I can't wait to read about the fallout. Severus is such a mess sometimes.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
He is, poor darling. Hermione can cope with it, though. x
Well, this chapter definitely puts a bit of a damper on Hermione and Severus' relationship. He reacted completely out of anger, and took it out on Hermione. I think she's going to be a bit standoffish with him after this.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
We shall see. She is quite a remarkable person - he must appreciate that. x
She's right. He's behaving more immaturely than any teenager. :0
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
He certainly is. Still, she seems to forgive ... More now. x
Perhaps his uncertainty of his place with/importance to her is the reason why there is no talk of the future. Perhaps he is just waiting for her to leave him.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
I think he partially he is. He is deeply insecure about matters such as these. He shouldn't be, she knows that, but ... it's tricky. x More now. x
Ruh-roh, Shaggy! I knew things were going too well for the two of them, and that a monkey wrench was bound to be hurled. Silly, jealous, Severus...
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
He is a silly boy. More now. x
Happy sigh here too! Whoo!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Things seem to be going nicely, but for how long ...? Thanks for all your lovely comments. x

I vividly remember a similar experience in college -- you capture the nuances and emotions brilliantly! Well done, I'm looking forward to reading more!
