Welcome to my world of (largely) erotic exploration of the human condition. (Well, that's one way of putting it anyway ...)
My writing is largely rated NC-17 and, as you will see, contains a lot of explicit detail. But I cannot write without developing believable characters, largely in canon (at least as a starting point), whose behaviour is established through dialogue and tangible situations. I adore these characters and tend to write from the inside out, getting inside their heads and simply letting them talk (and act ...). Yes, there is a lot of sex, but I hope my characters' sexuality enables them, and us, to discover deeper aspects of their personalities.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FRIEND ME ON LJ WHERE MY USERNAME IS LAURIELOVER1912. YOU CAN ALSO FIND ME ON FACEBOOK (LAURIELOVE).
My favourite pairings are Hermione/Lucius and Hermione/Severus, but I have written for various other couples and situations.
I have recently started writing original works which have, fortunately, been picked up by publishers. If you are interested in my original work, my penname is Demelza Hart.
I love establishing a dialogue with my readers. Please feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions, criticism, anything. I look forward to hearing from you!
In the meantime ... enjoy!

"Outstanding" indeed.............

Glad you enjoyed it. x
Wow! That was quite possibly the most fitting eroticism to this couple that I have ever encountered. And she can't really share with Ginny as she most certainly wouldn't understand. I too have been worried about this darn ball. I think that she does need to find a friend to go with and just make things clear to Severus. It would be wrong of him, but not out of character, to ask her not to go at all. However, Lawrence is the wrong choice on so many levels. I hope she has the sense and the nerve to turn him down. I hope to see your around here again soon!

More very soon! We shall see what develops! x
Bwahahaha!!! The lemons were lovely, but using Severus' body as parchment paper was priceless!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you! What a naughty girl - everyone seemed happy though. x
That was the hottest, most erotic chapter ever! OMG I so totally want to write an essay on some hot man's chest now. Dammit, witch! Your writing is just too good for words!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you - you are too kind! Yeah - I would love to write an essay on someone very specific! x
i really appreciate the honesty of this chapter. the way it blatantly lays out facts is unusual - and admirable.

Thank you! x

Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
If you thought that was obsessive - wait for the next chapter! x
Thank God for Ginny, she is such a good friend. Finally Hermione has someone she can talk to. I wonder if Severus is going to be angry about Ginny finding out? I can't wait to see what he does.

Thank you! More up now. x
Excellent stuff so far. As tightly controlled as canon!Snape was, we did see hints that he could lose his control (remember the spitting incident? and the "don't call me coward!" outburst?). I LOVE that you have him acting most inappropriately in the halls, where they might be caught. It's exactly what new lovers do, and considering how much that character needs some tenderness, this is spot-on in my opinion. This is a wonderful change from the usual tightly-controlled Snape we see in most HG/SS fics. My only quibble is that a girl of 19 that's barely out of school and spent a year in the forest has so much self-confidence and knowledge about sex and affection. But I'll let it pass - this story is terrific :)

Thank you so much! I think Hermione must have had an active summer!! And Severus is a good teacher ... umm ... you know what I mean ... oops.Lots more to come. x
Oh dear. I have really been hoping that Ginny would find out and not be upset about it, so I am terribly pleased about that. I know she won't intentionally say anything, but I hope she is able to keep her mouth shut. Will she tell Severus that Ginny knows? I don't know if that is a good idea or not. I'm just relieved that she has someone to talk to. And Ginny was able to get her thinking about the future. I'm afraid Severus needs a Ginny too, but doesn't have anyone. I am glad that Hermione understands him, because I'm not always sure that I do. I would say that they have an unhealthy relationship if I thought that either of them didn't know what they were getting into, but it seems they do. And while he naturally has a position of power over her, I don't think she is at all threatened by him. So, I guess it is what it is, and I hope that they do discuss the future and what each of them is looking for. Otherwise things could get really ugly.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Their relationship works because they are able to accept each other's faults - still a long way to go though.More up now. x
I'm suprised Ginny took that so well!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
She is a good friend. Hermione will need that.
And the shoe drops. I wonder how Severus is going to take this turn of events when he finds out. At least the sex is good.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
We shall see ... next chapter up. x
Wow. That ending scene in and of itself was totally hot. I love the dynamic of the teacher/student relatioship, the power he has over her and her inability to defy him, when it is a mutually predetermined fantasy. Here, clearly there was mutual desire, but the lines were kind of blurred between what was punishment for being a careless student, and what was for snubbing him that night when he wanted her so badly. They have the potential for this great relationship; I just hope they can get there. By the way, did I mention how hot that was?
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Glad you liked. In all its warped weirdness, it was kind of hot!Yes, Severus certainly needed to exert control again. He is so emotionally confused at times that these moments will occur and strangely enough, he thought he was doing it in a way that would please her. And, you know, it did, not because Hermione approved of what he did in itself, but because she understands him, she understands what he needs. And as long as they continue that way, they should be OK. More up now! Sorry for the wait. x
One of the best Severus hermonie fan fics I've read. When I found this gem I just could not stop reading! I look forward to many more she says kissing your feet
I really like this. It is erotic and not overdone. Good story. kerstin

Thank you! xxx Lots more to come. x
I could feel how desperate he was for forgiveness when he fell to his knees, this is beautifully written.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you so much! I love that moment too - so desperate. xxx She is good to forgive him - it was tough but necessary.x
I'm sure he has his reasons for this brutal display of jealousy, and I can't wait to see what they are.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
He is basically emotionally stunted and as immature in his own way as the adolescents he teaches. But if anyone can change that, it will be Hermione. x
Next chapter! Nice story, i read it in one breath..:) but maybe..but i think that sometimes hermione speaks very rough - it doesn't suits to her, i think...she should study more! but again, great story, love it
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you!I know Hermione's language can be coarse at times, especially at moments of ... passion ... but I think she is showing us how she is completely swept away by him, how she will put aside her propriety to show him how much he means to her. When we swear, we are revealing a different side of ourselves which perhaps we only wish to bring out at certain times - that is rather what is happening here. More now. xxx
Ahhhhh....Much better now.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
He's getting there - but you know what it's like with Severus - will he be able to maintain it? x
I really like the subtle handholding going on while they are talking to Professor Piercy. It wasn't some huge romantic gesture, but it was such a contrast to their frantic sex scenes in recent times. I think that an intense physical relationship is made so much better with the addition of tenderness and romance and vice versa. It is unfortunate that Hermione had to get upset in order for Severus to take her on a "normal couple" outing, but I can see where he is coming from in trying to keep their relationship under wraps. And I think the future scares the pants off of him--not that they are on much in this story even when not scared ;)I hope that if Ginny figures out what is going on, it is a good thing, and not a trouble spot for the couple. And the upcoming dance makes me quite nervous. Hopefully Hermione can find a date who is only interested in friendship and then she can convince Severus of that fact. Still, it will be difficult for her to get all fancied up, and him to see her as such, but not get to dance together. Maybe one of them will come up with a way...
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Yes, this chapter introduced an awful lot - all of it significant, but we shall see what happens ...More imminently - thank you for your lovely, insightful comments as ever. x
*sigh* I wish he was mine. What a romantic setting. So glad the icy barriers around his heart are slipping. Hermione is so good for him, and she draws Severus out of his shell. Such a breath of fresh air to see some friendship developing along with the physical love. Thank you, great chappy!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you! She will have to continue working hard, but things are definitely progressing. x
Rapture.Makes me wonder just how many relationships start like this. In the realm of the physical first, than blossoming into fullness mentally, and emotionally. I can honestly say I know of many. Sensuality, attraction... the draw.It comes alive here, your words breathe life to it.Thank you for sharing~

Thank you! I think with all these two have been through, and constrained as they are within the institution of Hogwarts, the physical outlet is to be expected. If they were leading a normal relationship, it may not be quite so desperate, but there is so much pent up emotion and restrained passion out of necessity that when they do come together it is incendiary. And yes, it will blossom into so much more, but Hermione may have to work hard for that. x
Oh my goodness. Such tension, and release. Thank you for sharing~

"Severus face tensed and he looked almost lost, clearly unable to entertain such a notion.""She wasn't surprised by his reaction but still it caused her deep disappointment."Ouch, that hurt. Here's the crux of the problem when dating such an emotionally stunted man. Severus is lagging behind Hermione, he is so enthralled with the attention and sex he doesn't see that a caress on the cheek and some words of hope about the future is what Hermione really wants not a trip to Hogsmead. His practicallity is really no different then the impetuousness of the boys her own age.Hmmm, so I guess that means boy's never really do grow up?Great Update! Keep'm coming!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Bloody man, basically.Still, if she can persist there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel. If anyone can do it, Hermione can.Thank you for your insightful comments - they are much appreciated. More imminently. x
