Welcome to my world of (largely) erotic exploration of the human condition. (Well, that's one way of putting it anyway ...)
My writing is largely rated NC-17 and, as you will see, contains a lot of explicit detail. But I cannot write without developing believable characters, largely in canon (at least as a starting point), whose behaviour is established through dialogue and tangible situations. I adore these characters and tend to write from the inside out, getting inside their heads and simply letting them talk (and act ...). Yes, there is a lot of sex, but I hope my characters' sexuality enables them, and us, to discover deeper aspects of their personalities.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO FRIEND ME ON LJ WHERE MY USERNAME IS LAURIELOVER1912. YOU CAN ALSO FIND ME ON FACEBOOK (LAURIELOVE).
My favourite pairings are Hermione/Lucius and Hermione/Severus, but I have written for various other couples and situations.
I have recently started writing original works which have, fortunately, been picked up by publishers. If you are interested in my original work, my penname is Demelza Hart.
I love establishing a dialogue with my readers. Please feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions, criticism, anything. I look forward to hearing from you!
In the meantime ... enjoy!

Thank you for your lovely reviews here and elsewhere. I think the version on here should be rather 'neater', shall we say. x

Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
I would hate to render anyone completely speechless! Thank you for your lovely words. xx
Hmm, if only he had stayed, or maybe taken her with him. Complicated dynamics. Looking forward to an interactive holiday. Thanks for writing!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
An interactive holiday!? Do you mean you or Severus and Hermione!!?? Thanks for your kind words! x
Love it when he said, "teach me." :)

He he - I confess to liking that line too! x

Thank you ! x
Whew! That was one hot chapter, our Hermione is certainly persistent when she has her mind set on something, but I wouldn't expect anything less. Poor Severus, he doesn't even stand a chance.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
No, he didn't stand a chance, but then ... neither did she! They are both in very very deep but need to tread carefully with the confused and tormented emotions raging around. x
I have no idea what to say?!?!?!I'm just eagerly anticipating where they go from here!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
This chapter was supposed to take people by surprise, just as it took Hermione by surprise. On the one hand, Snape was doing what he knew they both wanted, but on the other, he knew it was woefully inadequate in terms of a deeper connection. It shamed him and confused him. We shall see what comes next. x
Okay, physical release obtained, but where to from here? :)
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
I think it may take a while to obtain other kinds of release ... there may be a fair bit more on the physical side in the meantime though ... x
Hmmm... I didn't see that coming. I thought for sure she would have to work a little harder for such a reward. He was trying to avoid giving her attention, but if he wants to be discreet about things, he really should have given her hell for the explosion. And what on Earth was he doing for his time away from the castle? I hope we aren't headed for a lot of regretful angst. If she couldn't get him out of her mind before, she really won't be able to now! Another very enjoyable chapter, keep 'em coming--the chapters and the characters ;)
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Severus has been well and truly thrown by all this. He simply, at this stage, does not have the wherewithal to reconcile these conflicting and consuming emotions, and therefore responds brusquely and desperately. He knows what they both want, so he gives it to them. It just ... requires refining ... quite a lot. Time will tell ... x
WOW!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Yes, I think that is all I could say if that happened to me! x
WHOA! That came out of left field, didn't it? I loved it. :)
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
This man does has so much to give and say, but just does not quite know how to do so yet. He knew what they both wanted, so he did it, but knew that in a way it was shamefully inadequate. Time ... x
I don't know what to say other than I just started this tonight and there was no way I could possibly stop to review until now. Severus is definitely damaged, but I think that is quite realistic for him. His intensity can manifest in so many different ways, good or bad. Hopefully for Hermione's sake it is mostly in a good way. She is a little bolder in this than I usually imagine her, but she is older and has been through a lot. It certainly is reasonable to think that she knows what she wants and persues it however she must. I hope updates come fast and furious... I am totally hooked!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you so much for your very kind words. Yes, he is damaged and intense - I couldn't write him any other way. There will be plenty more very soon. x
WHOA, talk about EMO!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Oh yes - plenty more where that came from. x
You know, all of this chapter is so visually written. Does that make sense? I mean that I can see it all happening so clearly while I read it. Every little look, step ... "Snape abruptly broke off, his eyes filled with a look of agonised confusion. He took a furtive, unsteady step back, lowered his head and hurried away" ... like you're entirely seeing it play out in your head, and then you detail is so thoroughly for us.I love the progress, that he's finally been pushed to speak, to react to her ... looking forward to further progress.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Yeah, I think I do write very visually - I guess it comes from directing -I picture how I want interaction in my head and just try to put it into words.Like the flower. Let's see what I can find ... How about that? Bit of Brit brew for you. x
that made me feel breathless....thank you
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you! More very soon. x
Such passion exploding in the kiss. I expect that he has wanted to do that for a long time. But he had to be sure that she knew he was broken, and it will take a great deal of patience and skill to mend him.Well done.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
It will take a lot of patience, but if anyone can do it, it's Hermione. More very soon. x
One of the best explorations of Damagedgoods!Snape that I've yet read, I hope you don't feel guilty for the angst. It's utterly central to his character, and while frustrating when overdone, leaving it out will manage to ruin even a steamy introductionless PWP. Love this piece enormously already, I hope RL leaves your muse alone for a bit!
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Thank you so much for those words. No, I don't feel guilty for the angst at all - that is how I see him. I couldn't write him any other way. More very soon. x
Wow, what a first kiss!! I foresee a difficult time for Hermione trying to convince him that love is indeed possible again, a lot of denial on Severus part, but your writing is awesome and I can't wait to see what really happens next. As you said: 'keep going'.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Hmm ... plenty more where that came from, but, as you say, Severus may take a while to realise exactly what he could achieve and gain through a loving relationship. x
I am looking forward to more. This has the feel of a romance novel. Which means to me it felt a bit on the over-dramatic side. But that can be quite fun at times.
Response from laurielove (Author of Out of the Depths)
Yeah, it's a bit intense at times. But we all like a bit of panting romance sometimes. More soon. x
