The Dark Lord's sick sense of humour pushes Snape and Hermione to their limits.

Reviews for A Simple Plan
Nooooooooo, not Snape. More please as soon as humanly possible :o)
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I'll polish up the next chapter and update sometime next week. Thanks for reviewing!
That was incredibly devious of Snape, but can he survive Harry's wrath? :)
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Sorry, but you'll have to wait until the next chapter to find out ;-)
Yes, yes, ye----nooooooooo!!!! Severus had to know EVERYTHING he was doing, not just getting Voldemort into place for Harry to fulfill his destiny, but also setting himself up to be slaughtered, too. I do so desperately hope there's a way out of this one, though! You don't need to give us warning of character death for Tom Riddle (good riddance!), but you certainly need to if you're gonna slice up Severus--and especially if you're manuvering Harry into place to do the deed!! Ack!! (*holds breath, hopes it isn't true*)
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Now that you mention it, I didn't even think of the warning Character Death only because I killed Voldy. After all, he earned it ;-) As for Snape... you'll have to wait until next week.Oh, and he was very surprised at getting stabbed by the sword, not expecting Harry to be that stupid. Even Snape doesn't know everything...
One thing left to do. Feeling sick down to his bones, tears running down his face, Harry swung the sword once more and drove it right into Snape. Now that is the mother of all evil cliffies!I'm guessing that Severus was still guilt-ridden about what Voldemort forced him to do to Hermione, and was hoping that Harry would put him out of his misery? I can't imagine him not realizing that an enraged and heartsick Harry was liable to attack him as well.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
He would have realised it had he had time to think of sth else but tricking Voldy into obeying his orders. As it was, he was quite surprised when Harry drove the sword into him. Next chapter will be up soon. And thanks for reviewing!
Unexpected it is, though Harry's reaction is pretty understandable given the circumstances and his emotion. Please don't leave the cliffhanger for very long, I very much look forward to your updates!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Usually, I update within the week, and as this story is more or less ready for posting, I plan to post the next chapter mid to end of next week. Thanks so much for reviewing!
NO! He didn't really kill Snape. I know it. Snape would have expected this possible outcome. Terrific chapter. Was this the "Simple Plan" from which the title comes? I hope the story isn't almost over. I always find myself starting a new story and expecting it to go on "forever" then I get disappointed when it ends in < 30 chapters. I like epics. *grin*. Good story, though. Even if it is almost over.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I think I said at the beginning that the story will have around ten chapters. I don't have it in me to write epics, I must admit ;-)Yep, this was the simple plan - poison Voldy so he won't fight when Harry attacks him. Not that simple to plan and perform, though, which is the reason why Snape was totally unaware of Harry's attempt of killing him. I'll update soon. And thanks for reviewing!
oh lord...what's he up to? i can't wait for the next action packed chapter! thanks so much and mucho smoochies
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks for the smoochies - and the next chapter will be up in a few minutes.
Oh my God! poor Hermione what a nightmare. I know you don't write "evil Snape" so I will quikly move on to the next chapter, and hope for the best.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
At least in this first chapter he is evil ;-) Glad you liked it and thanks for reading and reviewing.
Good Lord!! What a place to stop! What the hell is Severus planning? Why would Voldemort let Harry leave now that the boy is in his sights - and apparently passed out and helpless?? I sure hoep Severus knows what he's doing.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
He thinks he knows what he's doing, but his plan won't work out the way as intended. That is, the next chapter will end with a cliffie, too ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Is she going to fall into some sort of the Stockholm syndrom? The one where the victim falls in love with her captor, her raptor here?
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I am not an expert, but I think the Stockholm syndrom doesn't work that way. It happens to victims who are for months, sometimes even years in the hands of their abusers, but not to people tho whom a single act of violation and brutality happened. Like, a rape victim wouldn't fall in love with her rapist.Having said that, and knowing the story is marked as HG/SS, you can guess that something will happen, hopefully nothing too unbelieveable. Hermione has a plan, it will put things in motion, and it will end with Voldy turning to dust. Oh, and thanks for reviewing, dear! The next chapter will go into queue today.
Oh my! I can't believe Snape did that on his own volltion neither that he was imperiused. My only hope is that someone was impersonating him with Polyjuice.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
No Polyjuice - you know by now he's been under the Imperius Curse. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Wow. I want to leave a review, but I don't know what to say. That's some powerful stuff.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*g* You did leave a review. Thanks, for reading as well as being relatively speachless.
This chapter has it all! Hermione's anger, fear, and loathing of Severus was just raw. I think she had to be at this emotional juncture, staring madness in the face, before she could venture into the forest clearing again. Likewise, Severus seemed to be drawn to the clearing as much as Hermione. He is punishing himself as much as he can for his sin of powerlessness to fight off Voldemort's Imperious Curse. When they first faced each other I don't believe either of them thought that they would both walk away from this confrontation alive. I'm certain that Severus wished to die, and Hermione would have loved to make it happen... but that was not to be. I'm looking forward to seeing how each of them comes to terms with what has happened between them and to finding out how they heal, if they heal.My favorite line is your description of the way Hermione had been drawn to the clearing: "She was drawn to it as the tongue is always drawn to the aching tooth." Brilliant!Beth
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Hi, Beth! Thanks so much for your detailed review. I wrote this story a while ago and wasn't sure so far if I should really post it. Be warned - it takes some unexpected turns. Like - Hermione will find a quite... unusual way to heal herself and Severus. And actually, it isn't really about them, but about the idea Snape has concerning Voldy.I'll post the next chapter soon, dear, Promise. As soon as I'm back from skiing.
