The Dark Lord's sick sense of humour pushes Snape and Hermione to their limits.

Reviews for A Simple Plan
Noooooooooo!!!!!! Not Snape! Ok - must read more... Great story!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Yes Snape - but Harry didn't really have a choice. Thanks for reviewing!
Well I never in a million years thought I would read a story where Dudley Dursley is a hero. I love your take on the grown up version of the little brat, and the dynamics between him and his parents.I was so relieved to see Dumbledore and his crew show up on the scene. Well, not Scrimgeour, but the others. Can't they just obliviate the MOM. I'm sure it is illegal, but he can't tell anyone if he can't remember it.Oh I do hope our patient fares ok in Azkaban. Hopefully he won't be there long enough to find out! And Ginny and the baby... gulp. Update soon, pretty please.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
The logic issues I have to deal with are nearly solved. I will ask my beta to crosscheck the result and should be able to post in about a week. And obliviating MOM - great idea!
OMG this was such a good chapter. I am glad that Dumbledore was able to get there in time to save the day (so to speak). I hope Ginny and the baby make it and that Severus survives Azkaban. Knowing Hermione, she will straighten everthing out.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Hmmm, Hermione will be of importance, but Dudley will be more important ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Still Minister that one? I can only hope Sev will have a fair trial. And that Ginny the baby are okay.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Trial issues in the next chapter ;-) Thanks for reading and reviewing!
I hpe Poppy had a chance to do some healing before Snape was carted off. :)
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Poppy did a good job, but Snape is far from being well. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Glad to see they know where to go back to despite the little details to go on thanks to Dudley. Poor Severus, we'll just have to wait til the next chapter to see how he fares and the uproar from Hermione. Hopefully everything works out for Harry & Ginny.Looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I'll try and solve the logic issues asap. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
Poor Harry, leaving chaos in his wake without even meaning to! I hope we'll see a little more of Dudley before this story is completely over, and I can't wait to see what happens next...the suspense is killing me! Hopefully Azkaban won't wind up killing Severus. Perhaps Poppy could gain permission to personally treat him while he's there? It's a sure bet nobody else will try very hard to keep him alive... And as for Scrimgeour, you would think that the fact that Harry worked to rescue Severus after having tried to kill him would point to the possibility that things aren't as cut and dried as Harry's offhand remark to Dumbledore made them out to be.I await the next chapter somewhat patiently (attempting to keep fidgeting to a minimum)...
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Dudders will be in the next chapter, and will have an important role to play too ;-) Thanks for liking him - initially, I didn't even plan to add him to the story, he just burst in of his own account. And I can tell you that Snape is at least still alive. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
OK, Scrimgemour needs to be shot.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*snigger* Sorry, no way. He has to lead the trial. Thanks for reading and reviewing, dear!
Poor Severus. Harry continues to have a very big mouth.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Yes, and now he isn't even there to clarify things. Bad for Snape. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Arg!! Once again, MoM bureaucracy is a bigger threat than Voldemort himself!Bravo for Dudley recognizing the castle, though--hope Harry can go there (once Ginny's out of danger!) and retrieve some useful items, and that Hermione rescues Severus. Ebil cliffie, once more!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Sorry, but Harry will not even think about going to the castle. Ginny and the baby are all he thinks about. Come to think of it, Dudley will safe the day ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Ack! I just knew that lats part was coming. I knew Harry woudln't let Severus live. Although I hope somehow he does. :)
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
As if Harry could kill Snape ;-) Thanks for reviewing!
i love your dudley!! this is a fantastic chapter. i can't wait for the next one. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks for reviewing, dear!
Beautiful. You made this story into much more than I expected in the beginning. It transformed into one of the most satisfactory DH replacements I have ever read. The characters are amazing, they work together seamlessly to tell the story and let the logic prevail. Beautiful.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*Hugs you*Thanks, dear!
Creativity of fanfiction! You utilised Severus's years of practice in intelligence work, you managed to have him manipulate the situation to his intents, you achieved a believable, exciting ending that has thorough motivations and power to execute. Impressive. Like that it would have happened. Canon was just pathetic. Voldemort did not register the potion because it was not a poison?
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Voldy didn't register the potion because it wasn't in his wine ;-)And - many, many thanks for your lovely review!
Response from nata (Reviewer)
Not in his wine? And where was it then? Severus tops his glass several times and each time Voldemort is more compliant, so where is the potion?
What a cliffie, chivalric! Update ASAP, please.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Will do, sometime next week. And thanks for reviewing!
Oh my gosh, please please please please update soon!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Will do, probably mid to end of next week. The next chapter needs a bit of polishing up... And thanks for reviewing!
So, Harry has attacked Severus. I have to wonder - how will Hermione react to this. I can see Severus using Harry as a way out. He can't do it himself, but he certainly enticed Harry into a rage enough to act without thought. But, did Severus mean for Harry to attack him? It is quite typical of the Boy Wonder to act without thinking. I realize that things happened rather quickly at the end, but didn't he realize who was giving him the tools to win? WHAT A CLIFFIE!!!! Put us out of our misery - soon, I beg of you!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
You know, I didn't even think of Hermione. When my focus shifted from her to Snape and Voldy, I sort of left her behind. So don't be too disapointed if I keep the focus on Snape and Harry for another little while. That is, if Snape doesn't die, of course ;-)As for your question - Snape didn't mean for Harry to attack him, didn't even think of the possibility. He was too busy tricking Voldy into surrendering to his commands. I will post the next chapter next week. Thanks for reviewing!
Response from sandlapper (Reviewer)
You write, I will read!!!! I have loved everything of yours that I have read! I really could see Severus using Harry as a way to end things, that is why I mentioned it. I can also see where you are coming from. Regardless of canon or fanon, Harry ALWAYS reacts without thinking things over. And even if they don't have a happy ever after - which of course I want since they have been through hell - I can't wait to see where this story leads.
Gah! Evil, evil cliffie! He gave Harry the memory knowing it would give him the strength to kill Voldemort & Nagini, but he had to have known it would turn on him as it was his memory... Was this his way of getting around his vow to do no self-harm? Please update soon, looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Snape didn't even consider the possibility of getting killed - he was far too busy manipulating Voldy to think of Harry. So no, it wasn't a way to get around his vow. Right now, he wishes he'd never given Harry the damn sword. I'll update soon, promise. And thanks for reviewing!
Okay, Now I really hate you for leaving it like this. I want an update NOW. NOW. NOW. This was a really good and intense chapter. Poor Harry trying to figure out what was going on. I only hope poor Severus survives.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Ah. Hate me, do you? Well, in this case I might reconsider my initial plan to update next week ;-)Oh, and thanks for reviewing!
I wonder if Severus knew he wasn't going to survive this? Or does he?
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Well, I surely won't answer the survive-or-not question, but I can tell you that Snape hadn't expected Harry to act that stupidly ;-)
Somehow I knew that Harry wouldn't stop until he had stabbed Snape. I hope Snape also realized this and took some sort of precaution. Or does he think he deserves to die after all he has done?I anxiously await the next installment.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
He didn't - neither realised it nor took precautions. Too busy tricking Voldy into surrender to his commands... Next chapter will go online after I finetuned it, which shouldn't take me too long. Thanks for reviewing!
Cruel -- not surprising, but cruel (the situation and the cliffhanger). I sincerely hope that this is not the end of Severus. I find this an intense and fascinating story and look forward to the resolution to this chapter soon. Thanks for sharing, JoAnne
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Hi, there! I can promise that you won't have to wait too long for the next chapter - it will go online sometime next week. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
This is a sad good story!Poor Severus I can actually see him being a man with that way of thinking.I hope thay can get along better now.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thank you so much for telling me you consider Snape in character - that is my main goal when writing fanfiction. And thanks for reviewing!
