Reviews for A Simple Plan
It works! And the writing got better and better and better every chapter. As did Snape. You've convinced me that this scenario could work.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Glad you enjoyed it and found it believeable. Also, thanks for the compliment on the writing!
A lovely ending, but I think I must remind you that no serious climber would ever climb a hill, rock anything, really in tight jeans. It's not safe and it isn't really done - I don't know about the US or places but my husband climbs in the UK, in Manchester actually and it was one of the first things he learned. Not good for circulation and ease of movement. Hope you don't mind the criticism.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*grin* Until yesterday, I would have agreed with you. When I wrote this, I had no idea of climbing, and added the jeans because I like Snape in jeans. Then I started climbing myself, and found jeans quite uncomfortable. So I would have agreed had I found the time to answer sooner. But yesterday, I saw a kid in the climbing hall, no more than sixteen, but climbing since ten years. He sort of danced up the wall, it was a spectacular thing to watch him. And he wore jeans. So it seems every rule has its exceptions ;-) Anyway, thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

But again, the person you saw, was, as you say, a kid. No adult, and Severus does come across as quite a mature, sensible adult, would climb in jeans. But as you say an exception is always possible - just doesn't seem like his kind of clothing that's all. He's tried so hard to rise above his roots as it were, I don't see him going back to jeans. Maybe it's just a class thing as well.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Ah, so it is not as much the wearing-jeans-while-climbing, it is the wearing-jeans-in-general part ;-) I just can't resist men in jeans, it seems...
Thank you, thank you, thank you for writing this awesome story! Hugs.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*hugs back* Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Ron leaned towards Harry a bit and whispered in his ear, "If they aren't careful, they'll reproduce!" ROFL! Love the ending. :)

*grin* Thanks, dear!
Yes, this is just how this wonderful tale should come to a close. You've written an emotional journey, and I've loved every chapter. From the first one I was hooked.Dudley was fun to read. Perhaps he'll meet a witch who fancies him, and then he can be a part of the Wizarding world raising little magical Dursleys and really making his parents rethink their opinions on the magical world. Now that would be justice. When Hermione asked Severus to marry her I couldn't have been happier. It would have been obvious to anyone that knows Hermione that she had to love and adore her Potions master if he had been able to get her over her fear of heights and into mountain climbing.Thank you for this marvelous story of hurt and healing. You should give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done! Here are some flowers from a happy reader. Beth

Hi, dear! And thanks so much for your lovely review(s). I am glad the story was to your liking and will try to post another few in the new future. *takes flowers and puts them into a vase*
A great end to a great story! I still enjoy all things Dudley. He ought to hook up with a nice young witch and he could go to wizard feasts all of the time. Well for Pete's sake, I was going to point out everything I liked, but that would just rehash the whole thing. So I'll just say thanks for another great story.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I think I can see Dudley hooked up with Luna ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
"If they aren't careful, they'll reproduce!" Hee. Lovely ending.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks, dear!
a wonderful story!

Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Thanks a lot for this fantastic read, it made my Friday evening. After the first chap I nearly left, but it's written so well, and I'm really glad I continued. The idea to get rid of the memory of the rape is ingenious, and with that the idea to get rid of V. Many thanks for writing, for sharing, for the good time.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
My pleasure, dear. And thanks for staying with me although the first chapter was so very cruel!
I've said this before, I have always enjoyed your stories and this one is no exception. You have such a wonderful way of making us able to see see and feel the characters and the emotions they go thru. I was especially moved by the part where Hermione finally confronted Severus after the rape - I don't want to sound sappy when I say this but my heart hurt, for both of them. Thank you for a heart-wrenching yet beautifully written story.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thank you very much for reading it and for taking the time of reviewing!
I'm a really sucker for happy ends. Thanks for improving my mood a bit. I'm suposed to go to Egypt for scuba diving tomorrow with a bunch of friends. But because of an icelandic volcano I may stay home, alone.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*grin* So am I, dear. I usually find a way to end things with a kiss, and if not, I try to write a sequel. Glad you liked this one. And - damn this volcano!
Quite a nice ending to the story. Very funny Severus' reaction to Ron mentioning children! Thanks for sharing!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*g* Thanks for reading and reviewing!
I loved the story, but thought that it was too short. You should take that as a good sign though. Are you working on a new HGSS story?
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks for letting me know you liked the story. Most of my stories are one-shots, and longer fics tend to end around chapter 15 at the latest. I am not working on new stories, but have a few older ones I will post until the end of the year.
I'm with Dudley--yay! Now Harry just needs to find him a nice witch to settle down with, so that Vernon and Petunia can be even more scandalized! A terrific story, from beginning to end. Thank you, thank you, thank you! If you should ever decide to write a sequel tale, I'm there. Actually, I'm there no matter what you write...
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
How about Luna? I think they would make a nice couple. And the Dursleys would be really shocked, I think :-)I will post the finished stories which still linger on my harddrive during the next months. And if you are interested, my first book will be published on May 3rd. Get in contact if you would like to know more!
A fitting end to a terrific tale. Very well done indeed!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks so much, dear!
This ending has left me with a smile. This was definatly the opposite of the first chapter. Bravo.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Brilliantly done!!! Definitely adding this one to my list of rereads!! I have to say you did a remarkable job of ending such a dark story on a beautiful/humorous note without it being overly saccharine. It is a fine line to walk for sure and you hit it with no missteps, IMHO!! Looking forward to the next tale!Shell~
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*beams* Thank you so much for your lovely review! I usually try to add a bit of humour, and I think I am allergic to saccharine ;-) Next tale might take a bit, but I'll do my best.
Lovely, simply lovely. Thank you!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thank you for reading and reviewing!
A story where Severus and Hermione end up together, and Ron hasn't hurt her, lied to her, cheated on her, ran off and left her etc? And he is not a total idiot; He even saves the day! You get a gold star for realizing that they can hook up without slaying Ron's character. You had me quite worried in the beginning, that Severus would really give up and die. I'm so pleased that didn't happen. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of the epilogue.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I like Ron! Always did, and I am allergic to Ron-bashing. As long as he isn't married with Hermione, they are friends, imo. Thanks for revieiwing, dear!
LOL. I'm with Dudley. YAY!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks for reading and reviewing, dear!
You've written the perfect epilogue for this story. Well done.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks so much!
If it's nearly empty can we assume Sev is free? Because he really needs medical care. And maybe a bit of romance too *hopeful eyes*
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Medical care and a bit of romance on the way ;-)Next chapter is in queue - thanks for nudging me!
Well, that was quite a scene!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
;-) Thank you!
This is a great story! I am looking forward to reading what direction this is going to go in. Thanks for updating.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thanks for reading and reviewing! There is one more chapter left and the epilogue - I hope you will like both.
Dudley is a hero. He saved the day. :)
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
It just occured to me that he should be in the epilogue, too. Thanks for the inspriation, and thanks for reviewing!
