Reviews for A Simple Plan
Oh this is soo good!!! The rape scene must have been hard to write, because it was very hard to read, but it's given a good grounding for what promises to be an interesting story. Looking forward to more!

More soon, usually I post the next chapter on Fridays. Due to hols and all, the next one will go into queue in about a week. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Wow. I don't really know what to think. Poor Severus. Poor Hermione. All that anger isn't good for anyone, but I really don't think Obliviation is either. Sigh.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Hermione will find another way, although it won't be an easy one. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Wow, I can only say Wow. This is such a beautifully written chapter. It is so heartrenching. I don't know who to feel sorry for the most. You have brought forth the imagery of not only a broken woman but the man who broke her and has himself been broken.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Only in fandom I could do it, turn the rapist into a victim himself. I am glad I pulled it off in a believeable way. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Firstly, I'd like to thank you for tackling such a dark and difficult subject matter – and you do it so very realistically. The fangirl in me wants to shout, "But he was forced!"; yet, the rest of me can relate to Hermione's struggle of pain and hate and rage... In this particular situation, even knowing that he was under the Imperious (sp?) curse, I believe Hermione is far more forgiving than I would have been. You write this so beautifully, it is so poignant and, in a sense, neccessary. You are exploring the boundaries of empathy and forgiveness, and on a deeper level than many ever care to consider. Thank you.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
I must admit, I read a few too many stories where rape is either considered a legal way to make a woman understand how beautiful sex is, or where she fogives her rapist after he says just sorry. Both is, in my eyes, inacceptable. No matter why he did it, she hates him, she suffers, and she cannot forgive. Until she saw him suffer, of course. Now she has to find a solution for her problem, as he is not able to do so himself. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I am glad you like the way I write - it means even more to me as I am not a native speaker.
So powerful and disturbing! I look forward to your next chapter.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thank you, dear!
Hello ChivalricWhat a very sad chapter - but fascinating and well written! You've described Hermione's state of mind very accurately. The confrontation with Snape has healing effects for her, I suppose - but there is one broken person left, isn't it? I'm looking forward to the next chapter!Regards,

Hi, there!I wanted to portray her hate and her fear, no matter what explanations are given to her. I read a few too many stories where she's raped, he says sorry, and all is roses and happyness again. She hates him, and she wants him to suffer. Only that now, she realises he's a victim just as she is, and that she has to find the solution for their healing. Next chapter will go into queue in about a week. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
What happened to Hermione was horrifying in itself, but reliving the brutal rape through Severus' eyes was beyond chilling. He truly is just as much a victim as Hermione, and the psychological scars surely run deep for both of them.Hopefully, Severus and Hermione will find a way to work together again and find a way to make the serpentine bastard pay dearly for his sadistic "reward". Perhaps then they can each find some peace.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
If things stay as they are, they won't be able to forget nor to forgive. St. Mungo's won't be able to help them, either. So Hermione has to find another way, and she will. Oh, and Voldy will pay for what he has done to them, promise. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
This chapter was heart-rending. I didn't cry, but I did get tears in my eyes. Part way through I realized that Severus was raped just as much as Hermione was. They are victims in this together. I'm afraid that Severus won't be strong enough to ever forgive himself. You wrote this wonderfully; it must have been very hard. I look forward to reading more.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Thank you! I wanted to portray her hate and her fear and that, no matter what explanations are given, she suffers and cannot forgive. Hard to write indeed. But yes, they are both victims, and I will make Voldy pay for what he has done to them.
Honestly, I'm not too crazy about this premise because sadly in real life people can't be controlled by mind control or Jedi Mind Tricks. I know here that Snape is just the weapon and that men can be raped too... I don't know. I can't explain it really. But it is like a car wreck! I'm going to read the whole thing because I can't look away!I guess I'll just try to see it as symbolism. Like, guns don't kill people. People kill people.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*g* It is definitely the first time on of my stories is compared to an accident. I think I will take it as a compliment...As to the premise: it isn't supposed to be fun. I wanted to portray rape as realistically as I could, with the pain, the blood, and the hate. I wanted to show that it has nothing to do with sex, but with power. As this is fandom, I decided to make the rapist a victim, too, and I disagree: it is possible in RL to do that, too. Not via mind control, and probably not with rape, but hold a gun to my son's head, and I am willing to commit practically every crime asked of me. In this case, it is Voldy's doing, and he will pay for it. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
This is really good. I hope you continue with it.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
*lol* So far, I have never abandoned a story, and won't abandon this one, either. The other six or so chapters are waiting to get posted, and I will do so in the next weeks. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
He was raped as surely as she was.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Definitely. Voldy is one sick bastard, but trust me, he'll pay for it ;-) Thanks for reading and reviewing!
how horrifying. intriguing start. thanks

how horrifying. intriguing start. thanks
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
How odd to say thanks for having told sth horrifying ;-) But - thanks for reviewing!
OMG! I can't believe he would willingly rape Hermione. Please tell me that Severus was under an Imperious Curse or some evil spell. This is quite a frightening beginning and I'm hooked.Beth
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
"Willingly" is just the point - he didn't, I can tell you that much. Next chapter is in queue and will answer some questions, I hope. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Whoa!!! You definitely got my curiousity piqued. What would be the reason Severus (if it was him) would so brutally beat and rape Hermione? And if it wasn't him, then who was it?
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
There is a very good reason, and yes, it was really Snape. I'll post the next chapter tomorrow. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Oh god, I hope he was under the Imperius curse. There is going to be one hell of a healing process ahead.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Definitely; it will be a bit unusual, though ;-)Thanks for reading and reviewing!
OUCH
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Very ouch indeed ;-)Thanks for reviewing!
Oh dear. What on earth made him do that? Very scary, dear! :0
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Not what. Who? And why? Will update soon!
Damn, how are you going to make any of this right?
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Let's say it won't be easy ;-) I will update regularly. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
oh my god, what a start. I hope as the other rewiewers that polyjuice is used. waiting for updates
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Nope, no Polyjuice. It was Snape.I will update soon, promise! Updates within the week, promise again.
Oh, dear lord! What a horrifying beginning! Surely there is Polyjuice or enchantment or Imperius or something equally evil at work here! And both Albus and Voldemort still alive on top of it all!! No!!! Waiting with baited breath to see where this goes!!!
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
No Polyjuice, dear, sorry. But something evil at work, that's for sure. I'll update on Fridays. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
OMG, Please update soon. I think I know what is going to happen but I can't wait to find out. "Polyjuice"
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Now tell me - what do you think? *is curious* Polyjuice is definitely not the answer! Thanks for reading and reviewing. Next chapter(s) will go into queue on Friday(s).
Response from sevibaby (Reviewer)
Okay, now you have me hooked. Can't wait for Friday.P.S. I llove reading your stories.
It's not one of your best stories. It's okay... except for that blip near the end. But still, it's probably better than many stories by native speakers; so, jolly good for you, madam.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Again, agreed. I think I can be glad to have gotten three stars from you. An honest thank you for reading and reviewing!
Sorry about that, I can't write anything in the review box unless it's copy/pasted in. I didn't even know that until I just tried it.Anyways, this chapter was nonsense. The chapters before this were fine, given the premise, but this one was not. Maybe I shouldn't say nonsense--for it used words that were intelligible in the English language--but too absurd and unnecessary would work. It came off as too contrived, and the suspension of disbelief was ended. That is all.
Response from chivalric (Author of A Simple Plan)
Actually, dear, you are totally right. It is nonsense. It works if you really want it to work, but other than that, I should have found a different ending but couldn't be bothered at the time. All in all, I still like the story. You are - I think - the only one who said some honest words about this. So thank you for reading and reviewing despite the nonsense chapter ;-)
