Wow! I thought i'd read all your FFs, but i guess i was wrong. So glad you had this epilogue,.. otherwise I wouldn't know hidden kudos rightly belong where! :D

My gods! How much spying did go on to get that much dirt on Hermione?  Her's was much more salacious. Severus' was rather pathetic. I guess he would be more embarrassed by being pathetic than salacious. Men have their pride and women their virtue. Isn't that a bunch of bullshit?  It's totally wrong that men can screw anything that holds still and women can't even think about it. It should be a woman's pride and a man's virtue.  Oh, yea, it's a woman's pride and her virtue. It's just a man's pride. They aren't expected to be virtuous. 
Now how did Dumblebutt get the dirt on Snape and Bess?  Was it all made up, or did D know that Snape knew that Bess would have loved to love him? 

Why go with Hermione rather than with Bess? She's a good woman. I guess it's because Hermione wouldn't take his crap and Bess would, you think?  Hermione would hex him if he made her feel the way the Portrait Bess was feeling. And how did Dumbledore know about Harry and and Ginny? I know they helped Severus and Hermione, but they sure have betrayed a lot of people's privacy and trust to do it. I suppose that since it's for a good cause, eaves dropping, being a peeping tom and gossip are acceptable. Well, of course we know Dumbledore thinks so. Thank you for the happy ending. Now for the MA (NC 17) version. I know you can.

The focus is clearly on Hermione and Severus, but I also wonder how Ron and Harry could use her like that and feel no remorse. She clearly didn't hold a gun to their heads.  I guess they figure they are doing her a favor at the time, eh?  She's a slut and they are what?

It looks like Ron pursued Hermione, I would like to know who made the first move with her and Harry. Just like a guy to get caught, isn't it? Then the chick takes the fall.

If I was Ginny I wouldn't want her around either, but I wouldn't keep Harry around any more than Hermione. They both betrayed her, but Harry took vows to honor and cherish her. His betrayal goes deeper, yet apparently he isn't held to the same level of guilt.  

I don't see why the Weaselys don't hate Harry for what he's done to Ginny too. He probably lied and said she had cast some kind of spell on him.

At least Severus won't think she is too stuck up to mean it when she invites him for dinner now. 

But if they get together, will he wonder if she is being faithful?  I suppose he see's Hermione as a poor loner who couldn't get laid by anyone else but Harry and Ron and she only did it because she was lonely and desperate.


I'm giving it 5 on the assumption that things improve for these two and that's the point of the movie.

Brilliant!! This is the second Christmas challange I have read, and they are both wonderful!!

The entire bit where Hermione and Severus are watching their lives play out could have been a Twilight Zone episode. I started getting a creepy vibe as soon as he went back to Diagon Alley with her. It was original and interesting. I think it’s cute that the portraits conspired to bring them together. Thank you for an enjoyable story.

I do so like these little 'see into the future' tales. It was a nice challenge to be put forth. As always, nicely written.

I'm right on the edge here, wondering what Lucius will do to try to wreck Severus' life.  They don't know what he will do, and they're leaving before the painting can show them.  Eeks!!
