Severus is a lonely soul who see nothing in himself worth loving.  I would imagine that he would do everything in his power to minimize the power of others to hurt him.  And Hermione has always been searching for someone to appreciate her.  Even as a child.  It is my assumption that if it had been someone else that had saved her from the Troll in her first year and offered her friendship she would have been just as dedicated to them.  But I also believe that Hermione and Severus bring out the best in each other.  You have the wonderful ability to make the reader (me) forget that the characters are not real people.  Great job. Severus and Hermione have no idea how much they are loved, so many people had to get together in order to put them on the right track. Wonderful ending thank you.

Hermione really went off the rails, Harry and Ron are both idiots, how could they use Hermione like that, and let her take all the blame, it takes two to tango. If I had been Ginny I would have kicked Harry to the kerb. Now lets see what Severus will be getting up to.

Until I realised it was what MIGHT have been I must admit the idea of Ron doing that with Hermione whilst seeing Luna, and HARRY doing it with his wife upstairs made me feel a little ill I must admit....Great twist though that they were seeing what their lives COULD have been!I was completely sucked in for a minute good story!

this is absoulutley wonderful! i don't normaly like snape/hermione ships but this one was still very good.
