I am a beginning writer and I'm in love with the world of fantasy. I own a small farm with my husband who supports my odd fasination with the plane of make-believe. We have two small children and I have a full-time position as "mother".
Reviews for Cursed Love
Oh man, with this curse things could go belly up in so many ways! I wonder why Winky would make it so that Snape has to be around? This is getting really good. Can't wait for the next installment!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I'm so glad you like it. And yes, "belly up" is accurate. Things gets crazy. I will leave you wondering on the Snape question though, I'll just say that Winky knows more than she's letting on.
Winky takes things to extremes, but Severus is being amazingly unfair to Hermione.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
He gets better once he sees what Winky's charm has done.
So what did Winky do? Love your story.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Winky just cause a whole heap of trouble. What Hermione says, happens. But Snape has to be there for it to work. You'll see! Thanks for the review and stars!
Nasty curse that! :)
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
The nasty curses are always the most fun!
So the curse is taking everything she says literally?“I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Thank you, sir.” ... and her fingers became stuck."... I could probably sleep for a week. I don’t usually stay up this late." ... and she slept exactly a week.Oh, a devious curse. And it definitely affects Snape, like said in the summary.I barely can wait for the screwball scenes that might result with those two characters and the repercussions of Winky's curse.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
It gets crazy! I'm glad you like it. Thanks for reviewing, and the stars!
Same old Snape! No "thanks for all the effort you put into saving my life, what an incredible potion." Nope. Hermione just gets the "you terrible peson who ruined my life" speech. I hope she does not take it too much to heart. She need to realise what an incredible feat she has done, even without Snape's validation.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
What did you expect? Snape has to be Snape or we wouldn't love him so much. I'm sorry to say that she does tend to judge herself based on what others think of her, so she's going to be a little confused for a while but she'll turn right in the end.
Poor Snape. He would absolutely hate to be stuck in such a vulnerable position. Unable to like and unable to die. At least one person is dedicated to saving him.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, Hermione cares, but maybe she's putting too much effort into caring...Snape is in a bad spot but he might get himself into a worse one when he wakes up.
The description of the potion making was very imaginative! I like the idea of having the bezoar soaking up all the magicial properties then giving him that first. :)
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Thanks! I've always wondered how they make the bezoars magical. I know they're real things that come from stomachs but how did they become magical? Thanks for the review. More to come soon.
Great chapter. It covered a lot of ground and time, but nothing felt hurried.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Good, I'm glad it didn't come off as rushed. I just hate flashbacks and so I decided to start at the beginning, and even though there is a lot of "down time" I wanted the reader to be entertained. Hope it worked. Thanks for the review and the stars! Next chapter coming soon.
THank you so much for another brilliant update! So, Severus is still Severus, well couldn't expect anything else now could we. I admit that I am rather mad at him at the moment, I would never have thougth that he would in anyway "fell on his knees" in gratitude towards Hermione, but there is a difference between shaving and cutting your head off. After all this years and time, he still pines for Lily who never loved him as he loved her, she wasn't even a faithful friend. Not only by not forgiving him when he begged for forgiveness, but for shacking up with his worst tormentors. He isn't even grown up enough to give praise where praise is due. Nope, Hermione is still the Gryffindor Know-It-All who outshined his presious Slytherins. Who dared doing her schoolwork properly, who dared figth for what was rigth and stand by her friend with the risk of her own lifes years younger than he was when he didn't have the guts to take a stand for what was rigth or wrong and instead got him self a nice tatoo, lost his best (and only) friend in the process, and then spent the next twenty odd years as a slave for two masters while still pining for a love he never had. Not to mention, as a grown man hating a child due to who his parents was, parents he never knew. Where were his beloved Slytherins when he needed them? Queing up at St. Mungos to pay their respect were they? Argh, I am so mad at him, (and enjoying being so:-)). I hope that when Hermione returns, she has grown a spine that makes her care less if she ever gets aknowlegdement from a man who never would have given it to a Gryffindor muggleborn like her. I would love to see a Severus who has to work to earn her respect, Lord knows he doesn't deserve it at the moment!!!!I am very, very, much looking forward for the next update!!!!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Um, wow! Venting a little are we? haha.I'm glad you're mad at Severus, but he gets better, you know he has to. And so does Hermione. You give her all this praise, but I'm sorry to say she's good at messing things up...well, you'll see. Then next chapter is coming anyday now. I've completed the story, it's just a matter of getting it uploaded onto the site. Thanks for the wonderful review and the stars. It's amusing to see how much emotion I can get out of you from just one chapter, lol. You've given me a lot to think about and now I'm wondering if I should add a few things to my story...hmm. Time will tell.
I thought she wanted the goats to produce millk with curative properties, since the eggs were not enough. Another excellent chapter. Poor Snape, he was enjoying being 'dead.' What a shock to think you have gone to your eternal rest, and then to be yanked back amongst the living.I really enjoy seeing what Fanfiction writers add to JKR's universe. You have given us some nice magical details and well as 'in-character' characters. I really love your discussion of Minerva's and Severus's freindship.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I did consider the milk idea when researching but decided on the bezoar instead.I'm glad you like my characterization, that is my hardest part when writing. I've been told that my characters (from previous stories—not fanfic) sound like angst-driven teenagers and so I've been working on making them believable.I'm just happy that JKR has make such a large world for us to work with. She's done a great job fleshing out an imaginative world and there are avenues that still haven't been tapped yet. There's always room for more.
There is a lot to like about this tale: Baby Hermione: the fact that Hermione's parents don't hate her for enchanting them, (I always thought she got their permission); Slughorn looking for glory; Nagani's head producing venom after death. These are nice details that make your story appealing. Both Harry and Ron were reacting to her dedication for Snape with the same enthusiasm as they had to her S.P.E.W. project. a good touch of humor there. This is an excellent beginning. I look forward to more.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I'm glad you like my story. I never thought about her getting her parents' permission. Maybe they did, I don't remember. And the S.P.E.W. project does come in later, so it wasn't just a humorous touch, well okay, it does lead to some pretty funny accidents...I've said enough, but it does get complicated, you'll see. Thanks for reviewing.
Response from pookah (Reviewer)
Actually, I simply assumed her parents had given permission. Really I've no idea!
Poor Hermione, after all that work, just to get slapped in the face by Severus. Minerva's right, Hermione needs to focus on her own life and dreams.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Sometimes I think we get caught up in trying to please others and forget what really makes us happy. At least, I know i do that.Hermione can be stuborn though, we'll see if she learns to balance her desire to help others and following her dreams. The next chapter should be up soon. Thanks for the review!
Poor Harry- after so many months suffering on their accursed Horcrux hunting trip, he's off camping with Ginny? Glutton for punishment, he is.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Haha! Poor Harry indeed. Although I think it's a different kind of camping trip. But yes, some people just enjoy punishment, but we won't go into that in this story...Anyway, thanks for the review!
You've set the stage for a lot of interesting developments. I can't wait to see what you do with the rest of this story.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Oh, I think it gets interesting later on, hopefully I'll have the next chapter up soon. Thanks for the reviews and stars.
Great beginning! Hermione really has her work cut out for her with creating the antivenin. Severus is lucky to have her on his side. What's up with Minerva and Slughorn? Is there a little romance going on in the castle? The book Harry gave Hermione for Christmas sounds intrguing; will it enable her to succeed where others have failed? Many, many more questions for me to ponder. :D
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, Severus is lucky to have Hermione on his side, but does he recognize that or not, is the question. Sorry, you'll just have to wait and see what's up between Minerva and Slughorn, but I will tell you it does come into play.I'm glad I gave you some things to ponder, hopefully I won't have you worrying too much longer. Then next chapter is coming up soon. Thanks for the review and the stars!
Why doesn't she just buy a bezoar?
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Because bezoars only work against most posions and Nagini was one of a kind. It had to be custom made in order for it to work properly.
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Ahh. Clever! :)
I really liked this first chapter, and I am very much looking forward to read more!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I will have more chapters up soon. I hope you like the rest as well;)
Enjoying this very much. Looking forward to more!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Thanks for reviewing, more chapters soon! Thanks for the stars.
Wow, it's going to take a lot for Hermione to find the cure. I suppose it's good that Severus is petrified so he doesn't deteriorate. Poor guy. I wonder if he's conscious at any level?
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Thanks for the review. No, Severus is not conscious really. He doesn't know she's there at all. I imagine it's like being at a dentist's office when they put you under for some surgery and when you wake up there's a big blank spot in your memory, but you know time has passed you by.
What a wonderful end! The plot was so original... I love that Hermione was not the perfect professor straight out of the box, and that Severus was indeed using her for his own selfish enjoyment. That they could find love out of such a volatile relationship was astounding to witness! Great work!!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I'm glad you enjoyed the ride. I remember seeing the prompt for the competition and it just popped into my head. And love has no bounds! :)
One of my fave stories ever. Seriously. xoxoxo :)
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)

Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Reviewer)
Awesome. :)
Very good story. There were points at which I laughed and cried. Definitely a story I'd read again. Thanks for writing and sharing your story with us.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Wow. Thanks for the compliment, that means a lot. I'm so glad you liked the story. And yes, please read again. :)
I don't think I've read a story before that managed to be simultaneously angsty and daft... Well done!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Ha ha! I'm glad you liked it. Thanks.
