I am a beginning writer and I'm in love with the world of fantasy. I own a small farm with my husband who supports my odd fasination with the plane of make-believe. We have two small children and I have a full-time position as "mother".
Reviews for Cursed Love
How sad, I really feel sorry for Minerva. Slughorn always struck me as a incompetent so his demise isn't as sorrowful for me.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, but Minerva had to die sometime, right? And I wasn't too sad when I killed Slughorn off, so no worries. He wasn't the greatest person. Minerva just attracted odd people. Thanks for the stars and the review.
Minerva and Slughorn...I never would have guessed. But I like it. You would think that Hermione had learned her lesson regarding house elves. How can one gal be so smart and yet so...not? Can't wait to see what happens next!BTW-where do I get some of those bubbles?! We have the muggle spillproof ones. That means they just ooze out of the container a little slower than regular ones. Any child with an ounce of ingenuity can and will figure out how to spill them!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Some people are book smart and some people have common sense. And sometimes things just misfire in our minds. And Hermione seems to have a short when it comes to house-elves. And things get crazy pretty soon because of it.It was just a random attraction between Slughorn and Minerva. And you can't stop love. The bubbles would be awesome if they were real. I agree, kids WILL find a way to make a mess, no doubt about it.Thanks for the review and the stars. The next chapter is in queue, so it should be up soon.
I loved the wedding blow-up. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Plenty more blow-up scenes to come. The next chapter is in queue, so it should be up soon!
Good start. Nice flow and plenty of description in this chapter which gives the reader a feel for 'being there'.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the review and the stars.
Such a lovely wedding. I'm glad that Hermione is did well in potions and DuPont. Severus is a right prick, though. Did he have to be so cruel? and raping her mind like that... grrr.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I loved imagining the wedding, glad you liked it. And Severus did ruin it a bit, but Hermione managed to survive. He stepped over a boundry but he will eventually learn his lesson...eventually.
Oh! I never looked at it that way - he wanted to die? He's harsh lasing out at Hermione was so rude, and I really hope she will dismiss it as such. Good for Minerva to help them both in this transistion.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I wanted a little different point of view on his death. I'm sure he didn't mean to be so harsh, but it just happened. Minerva is a god-send to both of them. Thanks for the stars and review!
Snape really needs to get over Lily. :)
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, he does. Poor man can't call it quits.
Wow You really cover a lot about creating a cure for Severus. I love all the details and such, teh creativity and original ideas. I laughed at the "Ron goes out for pro Quidditch', but your Slughorn bit was fabolous! HE's even tkaing credit for all HER work and effort and he's not contributing a thing! berk.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Isn't that just like Slughorn, though? He loves fame. I guess if it were under different circumstances Hermione might have cared more, but she has her sights on Snape.I'm glad you like my cure. I wanted to show Hermione's dedication to this man. Hope you like the rest!
I guess it is easier for Snape to hang on to his idealized version of life or afterlife with Lily than it is to move forward. Hermione may be in for more than she bargained for with this union.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Snape has this ideal of what life should have been and he's not willing to settle for anything but that. He's going to have a hard time moving on.And yes, Hermione has bitten off more than she can chew. But she usually does. Thanks for the review and the stars!
Severus is so obsessed with Lily, he keeps forgetting she chose James, and is proboably still lovey-dovey with James on the other side, and that Severus will still be the outsider there. Me thinks Hermione has not quite realised what she is about to unleash with those fliers. Poor girl. I thought she would have learned with S.P.E.W!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, some people insist on living in their own little worlds and these two are definately in their own worlds. Lily does not love Severus and he just cannot accept that fact. Hermione on the other hand thinks she's doing them a service. Well, she'll soon find out how wrong she is!Thanks for the review and the shiny stars!
Severus is still a wreck and probably will be for some time to come. At least he has Hermione to blame for his woes. Poor thing doesn't realize that seeing Lily happy on the other side with James would not have given him the peace he expected. *sigh*I was proud of the way Hermione stood her own at the reception and after. I'm just going to hold my breath and wait for the other shoe to drop after the flyers go out. Great update!! :D
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Well, we can only hope he will eventually realizes that life with Lily AND James in the afterlife would have been no fun. He just needs to learn to let go.Hermione has some spunk, but maybe too much. And yes, the other shoe will definately drop when the fliers go out. Thanks for the stars and the review!
Well, Severus is a total jerk and Hermione is on her soap box. Have these two grown at all since their Hogwarts days?
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
No, they haven't grown up at all. But they will! I promise. And both of their motives are justifiable. Although, that doesn't make it right, but you can see where they're coming from. When two people with pride clash it turns messy. Thanks for the review!
I wish he still wasn't hung up on Lily. That job seems like an odd place for Hermione to be, although I can see her enjoying the elf-rules.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Sorry, he seems to be hung up on Lily for quite a while through this story. I always thought it was odd that Hermione didn't follow through with S.P.E.W. so I wanted to give her a chance. Things will change up here pretty soon, stay tuned. Thanks for the stars and the review.
So we're at the heart of the problem now, huh? I'm excited to see what is to come! Great work!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, the problems are just now starting for Hermione, poor little dear. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the stars and the review! More soon, I promise.
Glad she saved him. He has some healing to do, it seems. He was terribly cruel to Hermione. But his wanting to die rang true.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, he has some learning to do. But so does she, she just doesn't know it yet.
Very intriguing story! I'm looking forward to more.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Thank you! I hope i don't disappoint you! Thanks for the stars and the review. More soon!
This is really a fascinating look at these two.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, it just gets weirder and weirder, just wait!
This is really interesting. I can't wait to see where it goes.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I'm glad you find it interesting, hope it leads somewhere you'll like. Thanks for the review and the stars.
Severus is reaaly facing a dilema. If he tells her what he knows, she may stop coming to depend on him. If he doesn't, she will keep visiting and annoying him, but if she finds out he knew so much and didn't tell her, I'm not sure she will forgive him so easily.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Things do get tangled in the next chapter as this problem comes into play...Thanks for reviewing,
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
.
This is such a fun story. I wonder what Snape would do if she did get tired of waiting and it appeared that she moved on.. not to Oliver, but maybe someone else..... serves him right. Keep it coming!
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
It would serve him right. Silly man. He's as hard-headed as she is. More soon!
Loved the chapter, "the animals," the panic over the horse, and Snape pushing it with Winky. I must confess that I've forgotten or gotten confused as to the purpose of Winky's curse now that she's mad at Snape for his helping HG to trigger the curse. Could you straighten me out a bit?
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
I'm glad you enjoyed the animals all running wild in this one.Let's see if I can do this right...Winky disliked that HG tried to start a union. She thinks the girl should mind her own business. In order to prod the woman along, Winky cursed her after hearing Snape rant.Specifically, he ranted about her talking and giving her blasted opinion when it was unwanted. So, Winky took that fact and the fact that Snape disliked her too, and put them together. So, whenever H was around S and she said certain phrases ie hyperboles or idioms, they would actually happen. The problem with Winky now, is that Severus is abusing his knowledge to make her say them. He didn't realize how beneficial this could all be to him—watching others get into awkward situations and he'd get a good laugh, finally for once in his life. So, Winky has naturally threatened him with a curse of his own if he doesn't back off and let the girl learn at her own pace. He doesn't take her seriously. We'll see what happens...I hope that clears things up!
Interesting dilema that Severus is at wars with his conscience as well as trying to figure out what he wants.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Sometimes people vacilate too much and get more confused than they originally were. Silly man.
I loved the part with the animals in Hogsmeade! And that slippery little sucker used it to his advantage. Clever, that one. He really needs to get over Lily and move on. I would have thought that the threat made by Winky would be enough to scare him. Yes, he knows how to avoid Hermione's curse, but who is to say that Winky would put the same curse on him? Would really serve him right. Looking forward to whatever fun is in store for the next chapter.
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Yes, he should learn to take threats seriously. Silly man, he learns the hard way, just like Hermione.
I agree, he's being an Idiot, and it would serve him right if she ends up mistrusting him and moves on. This curse could get nasty quick if she lost her temper and said something like she "could kill someone".
Response from Elizabeth (Author of Cursed Love)
Oh, the curse does get a bit nasty...killing...maybe...:(
