I am a classically trained singer with three children. I love Star Trek and have watched probably every episode of every series. Favorite HP charaters are Snape and McGonagall. (not as a couple.)

An interesting thought that Severus who returns to the future will find someone different than himself who went back into the past. Maybe Severus won't be the one who knows everything at that point and will have to do some learning himself.Looking forward to the next chapter. =)
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
I think that you're right. He will need to do some learning. Or some adjusting, as his future self might not be what he expects.
Hahaha, he made himself pretend to be Hermione! I love it. Plus the arguing with himself never gets old, it's hilarious. I can't wait to see what happens next. Much Love. ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
I'm glad it doesn't get old. I too, enjoy watching them going at it. The next chapter's been submitted. It should be up soon.
that was a great chapter, I can't wait to read the next one!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Thanks! I had fun with their arguments. There's nothing like talking to yourself!
good that the returned Snape has to promis not to tell Hermione about his intervening in history. The date went well. Both Snapes had their FIRST kiss now.how cool.and a complex conversation-item they picked. But it was necessary. and it brought them closer. and it was a central pain and sorrow for him. so it is good that they talked about it at that early stage.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
It's definitely important for Severus to have all of this out in the open. I think he would have stewed about it for a long time had he not seen that Hermione can look past his... well... past!
"Snape looked into his own eyes, which were staring back at him."That must have given him the shudders. For once in his life he has to bear his own threatening look. What would Hermione say, when she found out, that he had manipulated her life. considering everything went as planned.she would be furious wouldn't she?their switching the roles was the only solution. Otherwise it really would have lasted till the next ice -age.and he IS forward, my!He got himself a kiss a kiss a kiss. yippee.you are extremely nice to him, so good of you.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
You're absolutely right, Hermione would definitely not take manipulation well.He did get his kiss, and he's lovin' every minute of it. He deserves something nice now and then.
"Was he really that unvaried and… predictable"well, yes, you are.self-perception and a close look at yourself might help you when you really want to change (which you must if you want to have a second chance with Hermione) and woe for the girl of your life, dear. even if it is hard and shocking to see oneself as others might see one every day.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
well, yes, you are.---Oh, it's so true! I think that is one thing he is definitely gaining with this experience... an idea of what he looks like to the world. That can be a good thing if he decides to do something about it.
this is THE story.he regrets his non-activities. he suffers because his girl went and married another and now he thinks he can change it all around by playing with a time-turner and play with his past-self. and so many more.dangerous fire. But THE subject everybody dreams of. All these "What if's" I can hear them cried out loud by every reader. by everybody at all.wonderful.keep it going!!!!some learn late, some never.let's see how this ends for our magical hero or non-hero.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Wow, you really think it's all that? Thank you and big hugs! This story really has some great possibilities as to what will happen. Even if all works well in the past, there's no guarantee that everything will go as planned for the future. (Evil laugh ensues.)
This chapter was so awesome! I was really worried with the way "Present Day" Severus was acting in the beginning of their date. I was like "Aw crap he's going to screw it up!" but it looks like he got the answers to some questions he was having and his inner doubts as to her outlook and intentions. That's totally awesome, I hope "Future" Severus doesn't mess anything up on his alone date with her. I'm just going to have to patiently wait and see what happens next! Thanks for this awesome fun tale. I've been wondering if theres going to be any strange repercussions from him making a wizards oath with himself? Cheers! ~Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
It did seem as if he was going to screw it up royally, didn't it? Luckily, Hermione is very understanding and must have been a bit nervous herself. Future Severus would be pretty dumb to muck it all up after all of the agony he's been through. The next chapter will be very fluffy.
((happy dance))!!!!!The date went well! Progress is being made! Yipppeee! Why do I have a vague sense of unease regarding the "private" date? hummmm??
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Couldn't tell you! I think the 'private' date will be quite fine. I hope you enjoy it.
Success, a date with Hermione and Severus didn't push her away. Or was it Snape? ~I get confused easily~ Okay, it was Snape, had to look.
Wonderful chapter, can't wait for the next!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
It was Snape. Sorry for the confusion. But at least it all worked out in the end for Snape. He needs a little confidence booster, the poor guy.
That is going to get soooo confusing! :)
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
It just might.
It's good that Hermione accepts him just the way he is, and that he doesn't have to prove who he is to her. I really like that Sev doesn't want Hermione knowing he actually changed the past, but it may come out sooner or later. One thing I know for certain, secrets have a way of revealing themselves when we don't want them to.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Secrets really do have a way of coming out. We can hope that if this one does, all will turn out well.
yay, great chapter! I can't wait to read more!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Thank you!
yay! it's working! love to see what his "private" date will be. thanks so much
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
It is working. We'll see just what Severus has planned in the next chapter. I hope you'll like it.
So, is there a setback coming? Please don't tell me there's a setback!! Great chapter!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Well, all good stories need a little conflict... but nothing will hinder the date that is to come, I promise.
Can he really do a wand oath with his own wand? That seems impossible. And such a change in the past won't bring big troubles in the future? I hope not, but still...
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Well, there are two wands, his and his future self's. It's not an Unbreakable Vow, so there doesn't need to be a bonder... or whatever the third person is called. I did a search for wand oaths and can't find anything specific about them in canon. Perhaps I should have been more specific on the story. The wand oath enforces the promise they make. It's not as severe as an Unbreakable vow. It's more of a certainty that the oath will be kept. Troubles in the future? You mean this isn't paradise? You very well may be right.
Ooooh! I likes it!This story is very interesting, and Hermione is very passionate about her defense of Severus!Looking forward to the next chapter!A~~
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Thanks! I think Hermione is a passionate woman. She'd definitely be passionate about setting Severus straight on his past.
thanks for such great work - enjoying your tale so much! Can't wait to see the date!!
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
I'm glad you're liking this. The next date will be the best so far.
Hermione is one lucky girl. Romanced by not one, but two hot, brooding, snarky, brilliant men. *sigh* I wish is was her...
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
I know! She's so lucky! She's really getting the best of both worlds here.
Well this Snape meets Severus is so much better played out than I had expected! Poor Hermione, two Snapes trying to seduce her - she doesn't stand a chance? Why didn't loder Snape go back and see if it worked?
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Oh, I'm so glad you like it so far. She's definitely outnumbered, isn't she? Older Snape will return to his present in a week and will find out if it worked or not. We'll need to work our way through the week and see what happens now before he can find out if it worked in the future. He's not going back right away because he wants to 'oversee' his attempts before he heads back. I don't think he trusts himself very much.
Well this is interesting. We have the blind leading the blind as Severus tries to help himself start a relationship with Hermione.I loved the description of the stuffed animal =) Makes him more human.Looking forward to the next chapter
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
You've hit the nail on the head. But you will find that time has given Severus some 'time' to better himself in the romance department. Poor little kid, hiding away for the love of a Hippogriff. He's always loved passionately, hasn't he?
Uh-oh, not a good idea to go messing with time, even if it is for such a noble cause as love. Typical Snape to not realize what he's missing until it's gone. Let's see how the trip to the past goes.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
It's probably never a good idea to go messing with time, but it's such a tempting solution. He wouldn't realize just what he was missing until it was too late, would he? Silly, silly man.
Oh, how funny! The dialog is quite good.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Thank you! That's a wonderful compliment!
Great story so far. Keep writing, I want to read more.
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
Not to worry, there's much more to come.
OmG. So I totally just started to read this story today, and It's soooo good! I love the idea of Severus actually going back in time instead of Hermione. Simply because its usually her with the time-turner stuff so this is just an awesome change of pace. Plus I love how he's actually talking to himself about why he's there. It's funny that they're formulating a plan together...but they're the same person! Funny stuff. Anyways thanks for this very fun response to the prompt! And I can't wait to read more. Much Love ~ Brena
Response from debjunk (Author of If Only I Could Turn Back Time)
I'm glad you found it, Brena. Isn't this a great prompt? It really is unusual to have Snape be the time traveler and to actually interact with himself! What possibilities!
