The Ministry forces Severus to decide between getting de-aged or go to Azkaban. He chooses Azkaban, but Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall and Alastor Moody disagree with it. So he is a four-year-old now and lives with Albus and Minerva. Fluffy story!

Hi,
I absolutly love fanfiction but I never thought I would write one myself. But when Healer Pomfrey put up a contest I decided to write a stroy for it! The result was my story "Everything will be okay soon" !
I'm a social worker in a children shelter for abused, hard to educate and/or criminal girls.

That poor child, but I think Albus was correct in telling him, so he won't fear his father.

Thank you for your review!
He's not able to understand, but I think it's best that they've told him. Such a sweet boy!!!

Hopefully Severus will start to finally realize that everything is better now and not how he knew it to be at home. New home, new people and new experiences. I think Albus was right in telling Severus that his parents are dead. It was sad for him, but I think he knew that his mum was sick/dying or something and would be gone anyway. Telling him he'd been an adult probably should have waited until he was older... but then... who knows. Can't wait to see Sev in a bath! Maybe he'll like bathing better and keep himself cleaner as he grows up.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
He will realize this soon! You will love the next chapter! I hope I can update it soon! :)Thank you for your review!
Poor little boy scared of a monster. What was his father thinking, it was really stupid. A thought just strucked me. As the war is over, Harry will marry Ginny and have children. So, there is a possibility that Severus Snape ended with Lilly Potter without adultery. *grin*
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
Harry has other problems at the moment then thinking about reporducing. He will play a more important part in the later chapters. :)Thank you very much for your review!
You're really capturing the horror of Severus' childhood well. Gads, it's no wonder he was the way he was.His musing that Albus and Minerva were easy to please just broke my heart. Four year olds should receive lots of smiles and hair ruffling, not scoldings and threats.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
I'm glad you like it. It will become more fluffy later. :)Thank you for your review!
The line to bring Severus' father from hell and give him what for, forms at the right behind me. That low life bastard to treat a child in that fashion. Young Severus is so cute.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
I'm very glad you like the story!

Toiletphobia. Not a good thing. :)
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
:) Thanks for your review!
Toilet monster!! LOL I keep replaying the scene from first year potions through all this "...bewitch the mind and ensare the senses..." Could he pretend to lecture his toys at one point, and say something similar?? LOL Too sweet!

I totally agree. His father don't even deserve the title for being so rude and cruel to such an adorable child who desperately wants to be loved and has already resigned himself to a miserable life.

I wonder: who will be the next Potions Professor? It's hard to think we will never meet the dark and snarky Potions Master but a new Severus with new memories, new experiences.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
You will find out in the next chapters because the new Potions Msster will play a big role in Severu life. Thanks for your review!
This little Sev seems very cute. And a bright child I'm sure. But also a broken one, and that make me sad. He really deszerves this new chance at a happy life I think.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
Oh, don't be sad. He will have a better childhood now!
Awww, little Severus seems so overwhelmed by all this. What a monster his father must have been to not only beat his child but thoroughly ingrain in him the idea that he is completely worthless. I think there's a special ring of hell reserved for cold-hearted bastards like that. At least with Minerva, Albus, Poppy and Alastor looking out for him, his childhood this time will certainly be much brighter from here on out.

He's so sweet. Poor kid, thinking he's not worthy of some toys. I'd like to kill his father all over again.

Oh he's just so adorable! I love his reactions to everything, especially about taking a nap. But to have P. Black as the portrait Sev has to ask to see Ablus? Couldn't it have been someone nicer? LOLNice up date, btw

Poor Severus, to have such a sad, lonely first childhood. I'm glad you're giving him the gift of a second childhood. Well done.

I got a bit misty eyed when Minerva was reflecting on Severus’ smile. Its going to amazing to see how different Severus’ life will be this time around. I cant wait!!

He's so sweet! My middle daughter just turned four, can she come to play?? LOL Lovely and so sweet. I've got the sappiest grin on my face right now!!
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
Severus would love to play with her. :) Thank you very much for your review!
Is there any significance in the choices of toys? I'm just wondering, because I've never heard of a plushy stork before. I love his little reactions, he's just sooooo cute!!
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
I wanted him to have a plushy with a long thin neck because I imagined him hugging it around the neck. I can't explain it; it's just a picture I had in my mind while creating this story. Thank you very much for your review!
Poor Sev. I hope he will have a better life with this starting over. It can't be worth than the first time. At least not with Albus and Minerva as parental's figure. I love this first chapter because the action begins right now, which is a nice change from all the reading I had lately.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
I'm very glad you like it that much and hope you will continue reading it! Thank you very much for your review!
I hope soon that Severus will trust and realize that he is in a far better place then what he remembers. I would just love to give him a big hug and kiss!
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
Thank you very much for your review!
Poor kid, not used to any kindness.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
Yes, but that will change!
Actually I'm really feeling sorry for little Sev. I know things are better now - this time around, but the way you are diplicting an abused child is so heartwrenching and accurate.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
What means diplicting? I can't find it in my dictionary.
Response from beaweasley2 (Reviewer)
OOps, I didn't review before posting... sorry. I meant: depict depicting: to describe characterize interpret or portray. Sorry.
Response from grugster (Author of A Better Childhood)
I even tried not to be too explicit in my descriptions. I know that on this site many readers are no tennagers any longer and have children by themself. I really don't want to make someone upset. I try to balance drama and fluff as best. Thanks for your review!
