I think I loved his confession the best of the chapter. Oh, don't get me wrong, the bit at the fireplace to the stairs was hwat! But him baring his soul like that. nice.

Ahhh, that was very well done and very sweet! Your caharcterization is awesome! Even though they are doing something they would never do in canon you've made it very believable! And no Ron!! Yes, sry not much of a fan of him, too needy and childish. I eagarly await the next chappie!!

That was lovely! I loved the ending - it came off as heartfelt, not sappy, which is usually very hard to pull off with a character such as Severus Snape but you made it work brilliantly. You are truly gifted in your story-telling ability; able to convey passion, lust, and love all at once in smooth succession and without the reader having that 'how did they get from there to here?' sentiment because it is obvious and realistic and believable that your characters would get from there to here with the scenes you portrayed in this chapter.

I'm so very pleased :)  This is truly one of my favorite stories -- both amongst those in the works at present and amongst completed ones.  I'm looking forward to the coming chapters, although I'm keeping my fingers crossed for not too, too much more angst in the pipeline on this one ... What really made this chapter was the emotions at the end of it though, you managed to make Severus seem even stronger by letting him show the emotions he did. I think 99,9 % of your female readers wanted to jump in to your story and comfort Severus while reading. (The remaining 0,01 % are probably spies sent by Ron to see what Severus does that is so much better than what ever he could ever dream of being....:-))
