I couldn't be happier with this story if I tried.  Your writing is compassionate but spirited, and delicate in the description of  the growing ardor and, dare I say, connection between "Joy" and "Tobias."  I am not surprised that you won 1st place in the chaptered category!I love that you have chosen for Hermione and Severus to share the same sexual fantasy at the same time.  What better way for each of them to realize that a very personal bond has formed between them, a bond based on respect for and gratitude to the other... not a bad basis on which to build a lasting relationship.And the icing on the cake?  Why it is Healer Levy's closing remarks in her note to Hermione:  "...without revealing anything that would break Healer-Patient confidentiality, I can tell you that it’s a damn shame that you’re not getting the baser benefits of his part in this process. I am one of the 'first time' readers. I just had too much happening to participate in the reading/voting. But it surprises me little that you would win first place. I thought "A Hero's Farwell" was phenomenel and I have read a few of your other stories too - all top notch. Congratulations on the win!I really like the start of this. Of course Severus would start lamenting about the possiblity of NOT hating children while pissed. lol I am assuming at some point that our couple will discover who each other are? I know it won't be soon, but I look forward to when it comes. :)Oh, PS - if there is any way to break the longer paragraphs into two that would be great. Severus' desire to find out just who Joy is by testing her hair that he found on the afghan Hermione sent him was so poignant, but his ability to resist the urge was a testament to his honor and to the trust he knew that Joy had placed in him.Healer Euterpe handled Severus' physical examination with the utmost sensitivity and used gentle humor to put him as at ease as someone in his situation could be.  Good for her!I hope that the Healer's comment to Severus, that he WILL be a good parent, stays with him and encourages him to remember the terms of his contract:• Will seek no direct contact with Mr. Reynard that is not first solicited by him or agents of his choosing regarding the child in question or other matters.• Will seek no direct contact between Mr. Reynard and herself, or Mr. Reynard and the child in question, unless first solicited by Mr. Reynard or agents of his choosing.Brilliant chapter!!!  Good luck in the voting, and I can't wait for the next chapter!!!Beth
