awesom awesome! please update soon :) can't wait!
The funniest thing happened, today I was at work, and I put on my scarf to go outside (which is made from green alpaca yarn), and I thought of this story. Then we I finally get a a chance to go online, there's a new chapter up! This hjust made my day. Keep up the great work, I'll definitely be voting, I can't wait for more!
I don't know what's gotten into you all authors from the PPAGC. You tell us the most wonderful and promising things about next chapter before slipping that there will be a bit of time until voting is over. Grrr (for the second time today). Apart of that this chapter around Severus is brillant. And maybe Healer LEVY can help them to sort out what they really want. Her last comment is very promising.
Another great update, you did a marvellous job with Severus examination. It culd so easily have been handled clumsy and without grace, but you managed to make it as relaxed as it could be, dignified and with humour, very well done!!!
I just read all 4 chapter s and O must say I am very very looking forward to seeing what is going to happen next! Can you at least tell if it will have a happy turn/happy end? I'm not one for big angst. I want them to 'suffer' love but end up happy. And Hermione and Severus' baby will be gorgeous, no matter what. :D
Oh my, they've both got it bad! When will one of them break down and admit that they want to stay in contact and -dare I say it- even take their friendship further? I really like Healer Levy - she's a breath of fresh air in Severus' life - neither antagonistic toward him nor frightened of him. Terrific chapter! I hope the next is up soon--seeing as it is already written.
Ohh, I can't wait for them to actually realise they really ought to meet each other! Poor Severus - how much longer can he take this? And I'm curious to know what's in the letter. Surely Hermione's smart enough to put two and two together at some point, especially with his self-description?*can't help but giggle at the hospital ordeal, as embarrassing as it must have been for Severus*
lovely update. i especially loved the interplay between severus and euterpe. thanks so much
Enjoyable chapter, I liked the healer very much.
If I thought very hard I could remember some lovely things to say about this chapter. But they were all obliviated at the mention of lemons in the next chapter! Thanks for writing and posting this story!
Where do we actually wote for these chalenges?
omg write more please. i love this fic, and i'm always waiting so anxiously for updates. great characterisation and development.
Oh, I am loving this story so far, can't wait for more. How could she not have an inkling of who it might be with his discription of himself combined with her assessment to Ginny from the previous chapter...."and he’s so intelligent and witty and brusque and,” Hermione broke off to snicker, “dastardly.” At her friend’s disbelieving look, she laughed harder. “I know that’s a silly word, but sometimes he just seems like the villain from a melodrama. But in a good way.” LOL, is that not a perfect picture of Severus????
What's in the letter? Wonderful chapter, there's so much to like I don't know what to say other than, another chapter, please.
Looks like Severus still hasn't noticed all of the "unless first solicited by Mr. Reynard or agents of his choosing" bits in the contract about making future contact. Wonder if he's going to finally see the overture she made, or if he's going to break down and run some tests on her hair... Btw, it's not surprising to me at all that he found a hair (unless it's that he only found one hair) in the afghan, as when I make them there's ususally quite a few hairs littered throughout... Also sorta wonder if the receptionist is going to let something slip about his pressence in the ward, seems like it would be fodder for gossip of some kind (considering how well known/feared he is and that Healer Levy said he hadn't come to the hospital for an examination in twelve years) especially if the she doesn't know what he was there for... Liked that the 'favorable' comment that he made about his appearance was taken from something that Hermione had said in her youth. And wonder if the Healer's parting shot about him being a good parent means that Hermione's been confiding in her... Enjoying muchly! Looking forward to the next!
Can't wait for the next installment. And I wonder what was so urgent about that letter that it was delivered to him in the middle of his exam.
I loved this chapter, I wholeheartedly agree to all the reviews that have already been posted and I am quite sure that this Healer will surprise us in upcoming chapters.By the way - how does this voting thing go? Is it enough to award some stars or do I have to do anything else?
Lovely, lovely, lovely. I'm so happy he turned all sappy while contemplating the contract. And the way he pushes wherever he can possibly justify. They will come round, I'm sure, and then both Severus and Hermione will make perfect parents.Has she figured out the "hawk-like" quote or has it been too long ago to remember?
Brilliant chapter. Very funny.
Touching chapter! I love this story so much and it will be my pleasure to vote for you!xo

:)
Really a very nicely crafted story -- enjoyable, suspenseful, with a real feel of character development ... it makes the otherwise rather OOC decisions Snape and Hermione make appear quite natural. Looking forward to future installments! :)
Don't leave us there! I wonder if the Healer will get involved with getting these two together. Poor Severus...do they have porn magazines or movies so it's easier to "extract" the specimem...LOL. Quick, with the next installment!
I wonder if they will be able to figure out who the other is based on the descriptions? They are both brilliant... I hope they do. I don't like the thought that Severus will have a child out there, and he won't know who it is, And the child won't know who he is. That seems incredibly sad. I can't wait for the next chapter!
The entire chapter is wonderful, but this especially made my heart ache:But now, forty years later, Joy’s letters, sweetness, and almost childlike enthusiasm and good will had given him the chance to be the man that his youth had never afforded him. He could be Severus, unencumbered by doubt and prejudice and obsessive love and, most of all, insecurity. She didn’t know him so she wouldn’t judge him. There on those pages was the Severus Snape he never thought he’d have the chance to be. And here on this contract, he’d signed away his chance to continue to be that man. In a few weeks (at best), she would need him no longer, and the unshackled Severus Snape would curl back into the shadows again. His chest ached; he wanted – no, needed – a way to hold onto her. It was like losing Lily all over again, and Severus wasn’t sure he could stand that.Wonderful job!
Now we're getting somewhere! Will they figure it out from there descriptions of themselves?
