"A Murder of Crows" was my first foray into fan-fiction, and I treasure the lessons I've learned while posting it.
Reviews for A Murder of Crows
EEEVIIILLLL !!!! Will Snape take the memories to Malfoy?? What is his true intent? What's going to happen to Hermione? Is everything she fought for betrayed? Oh wow, she's going to be one murderous witch when she gets back on her feet!!
All right. That does it.You are BEYOND evil!Oh, how you know to write a cliffie! To "whom" did he "leave her"?WHAT is he about to do for which he will "despise himself"?And Why will she need to "remember the mare", and perhaps, "someday", to understand? And you're on VACATION!AAAAAAAAAAAAACCCKKKK!!!You are a seriously wonderful writer. And I want the next chapter now, now, now! (WAHH!!)

And one more thought--"a sleeping potion so powerful it is called the Draught of Living DEATH" (from SS, emphasis mine)---could he be planning to tell Lucius the memory-removal was too much for her, that it actually killed her? Or at least, that it put her into a coma, as he had been? (and yes, I'm grasping at straws here).
~smushes her face against the monitor and growls~ uh oh sev! when she comes back to herself, yer gunna be sorry!...~sends her famous butt biting dog to chase after him! lol~
Oh, you are so evil! You just love to torture us with these evil cliffies don't you, missy!
Well, things look bad right now. I'm hoping that Severus is still working undercover and has not truly betrayed her. I don't think you could be that mean to your faithful readers, (could you?)
Oh dear! What a cliffy... I hope he was talking to Pitty and not to Lucius.
non mais je rêve ! vous êtes vraiment diabolique ! Cette histoire, c'est les montagnes russes...
bisous quand même ...
You are so evil, but I love it !
That has to be the most incredible cliffy I have read in ages! Accckkkk! Hurry back soon. I can't wait.
ARRRGH! THE BASTARD!
I really hope Severus didn't betray Hermione, but it definitely looks like he did. I wonder what he's going to do with her memories..turn them over to Lucius? Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
So Severus betrayed her once more, I am so sad to be correct in my assumption that this Severus has sold to many parts of his soul to be considered trustworthy by any other than himself. The only thing that can make me sadder will be if Hermione survives this ordeal, and once more show such lack of brain that she forgives Severus for betraying her yet again. I am equally sad to say that I can't fantom any way for Severus to redeam himself, at this point any good Severus will be a dead Severus, preferably as dead as I hope Lucius will be at the end of this story. I want Hermione to spit on their graves and go on living happily ever after with someone who deserves her love and trust!!!!
My negative feelings for Severus doesn't change the fact that this story is brilliant in plot and writing though:-))
Here comes Lucius. Wicked, but brilliant. Thank you!
I am going to take a leap of faith and trust in Snape. He is doing this for her own good...I hope! He can't be that bad, the worst is over...Oh, who am I kidding.
I'm thinking she did hurt herself. And I hope Pitty is the one he left in charge to take care of her. No one will look for her if Minerva thinks she's gone! So many questions! I hope you update soon.
I love this story. Sad that it's ending soon. :(
And now Hermione jumps in when she should have stayed at Hogwarts. AGGG. I love it. I hate Lucius.
Great chapter! I loved the conversation and the aftermath :) I was moved by some things, like Severus standing there taking the blows, and trying to hug her afterwards, which in my opinion showed how much he cares... and Hermione so emotionally exhausted after everything that she just wanted to go sit by the fire. And I loved that Severus used his patronus to show his feelings, and how he started asking Hermione until she gave herself the answer she was looking for. I'm glad that the night had a happy ending!
Great chapter!

It had been far too long since I'd tortured you. :-) Thanks so much for the review ... I just posted the next chapter!
He would become a spy in her place....However damning the sight of him in Arglist lab would appear, Hermione should remember that book and her own conclusion about its meaning and remember that Severus is a consumate spy and he cares for her...And he would go behind her back and get that evidence, so that she would not have to do so in the end, potentially. But remembering Hermione's misgivings and doubts about their relationship and Snape's inability in a way to voice his feelings for her, it is understandable how her world could crash around her at the sight of Severus in that cursed lab.

Sorry for the triple review, but for some reason when I tried to edit the review it multiplied it! And there was no button for deleting it and I couldn't even delete the copies...grrrrrh

Exactly! We can only hope she considers all the possibilities before she reacts too violently. But I fear she has some self-confidence issues (thus the constant need to prove herself). And while they have no doubt improved a great deal since she was young, the seeds of doubt can lay dormant for years and only require the right (or wrong) conditions to germinate once again. Snape's reticence on his feelings certainly can't help matters there.I have just posted the next chapter, so you'll be able to see a bit more of the events as they unfold. Thank you so much for the review(s - LOL!) and the stars. I treasure all the feedback I receive for this story.

I've read your story more times than one should think it's healthy. I love how unusual it is! And you've written some perfect diologues too! Like the one SS and HG shared before arriving at the Grangers! Oh, and the smut!!! So smutty! lol Please, pretty please would you continue this? I know it will get worst between our duo before it gets better, but don't torture your readers too much!!! ;)
Kudos from Brazil!
wow! That was a bit scary. I was worried Hermione would somehow end up back at Arglist. Now, of course, we're back to wondering what Snape is up to! ACK! I love this story. Excellent!
Oh crumbs! I laughed at the Shitz and Drewls shop. That's great. Stupid Lucius has to show up. GRRR. Need to read the next chapter!!
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
I like the way these arguments play out and reading all of the thought processes of Hermione. They feel quite realistic to me. Relationships can be so confusing. Excellent story! I wish Lucius would just GO AWAY though.
