Go Hermione!  defend Severus like that to Harry!I am so glad to see Minerva and Severus portrayed as friends.  From the time I read in one of the early books, Minerva's comment about how  many years it had been since Gryffindor had won the quidditch cup:  "As Professor Snape kindly remined me," she said.  I knew then and there that they w ere good friends, to be on such easy teasing terms.Sorry to see the auntie die, what a bummer.  At first I thought Hermione and Snape would be in Burma, searching the jungle for survivors. 

Just the way I want to spend my New Year, with just the kind of ss/hg story I need to read--plenty of Sev/Herm shippiness, bashing of DH & RW the "King," and the smart, bookworm Hermione I've always liked. all that, and it's cat-centric (lurve 'em whiskers!!)  You are made of win!!

LOVING This!   one little point, about  2/3 through the story, two paragraphs after the break in the story and the part that begins: 'They settled into something of a routine'2 paragraphs down from there, you said she soaked up water like a sponge I think you mean knowledge like a sponge does water.thank you for this lovely (finished!) tale.

Ok I am loving everything about this story.  Good start with Snape "stuck" as a cat.  His commentary was priceless.  Then the building trust between the two was very nicely presented and of course the preliminaries to their intimancy have be truely hot.  But without a doubt, Hermione's reaction to seeing Ron on her bed -- naked -- were beyond compare.  It was like she was trying to get a bad taste out of her mouth without anything to rinse with.  Except of course it was trying to get the image out of her head.  But you got her around that too!  Very nice.  The entire story is a hoot and I am really enjoying the ride.  Thanks, JoAnne
