just wonderful how you tied up all the loose ends. but how could he make her wait so long?! and wait so long himself. this was lovely: "For the time being, Petal, know that you are my Hope and my Reason." so many highlights - the scene with kreacher and scampy was funny. and the scene where the prince ladies came and gave her that present was perfect. and then the cottage, and the whole explanation of the vinculum, and then the long-awaited happy togetherness. this story has been such an amazing journey. i am thinking what a joy it will be to reread it now and see all the significance of everything that i might not have noticed on the first go. thank you so much for letting your little "pwp" totally outgrow its britches and become this story. :D

Hmm, I regret that you skipped a few crucial scenes and only presented them in narrative summary at the beginning of this chapter.I should have very much liked to see how Hermione was truly feeling and holding up and experiencing her last year, now free of the curse, but still in love with Severus...I believe that there are really important moments missing by fast-forwarding to the happy ending like that.However, the ending is very nice.Strangely enough, the very last bit - with the grandmother  - is my favourite part of the chapter. I'm wondering how it was for her to bind herself that way, to lose that bond, and to have the echo of her husband still with her in the painting...I've been following the story almost from the start, and it's been one HELL of a ride.I applaud your courage for writing a story about the darkest aspects love spells can take. That was brilliantly conceived, and executed ruthlessly, but always compassionately.Although I was a bit disappointed how the last chapters played out - they came across a bit flat and hurried to me  - this is certainly one of the most powerful SS/HG stories I've read in the past year.Thank you very much for sharing your talent with us!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.  I'm always worried when a long story comes to an end, because I'm not always satisfied with the ending.  You closed this beautifully, though.  It has been a wonderful journey.  I can't believe it's over.  I will certainly have to go back and read it from start to finish sometime.
