Unforgivable? Brutal, indeed. So very brutal. I believe Krum cast an Imperio on Hermione, or she tried to drive him off with a Cruciatus. But, oh my, Subvers, this sure is a cliffhanger par excellance.

I think it's interesting that so many readers believe Hermione gets Imperio-ed by Krum.  My first thought was, "OMG--Hermione Crucio-ed his Bulgarian butt for tryin' to get in her panties!"  Oh man, I hope that's what happened!  Dear Muse, don't make Krum hurt Hermione!  Even though we all want Herm and Sev together, don't hate the foreign guy for tryin' to get a little play!  Stellar story, Subversa--I'm sittin on pins 'n' needles for the next chapter!  (As are the other 40-odd readers who reviewed all in one day!)

Merlin, what a cliffie! I haven't seen one that brutal in ages, though I'm not sure whether to glare at you or congratulate you for that. And since I'm bothering to say that much, I'll also take the time to say how immensely I'm enjoying this story. The plot is ingeniously designed to combine smoldering sexual tension (and sex) beautiful, thoughtful, intense character development. It's truly a pleasure to read.

ohh!  and to think i thought your last cliffie was bad, but this is EVIL!!!  and we don't even know WHICH unforgiveable, let alone cast on WHOM.  but i don't see hermione casting an unforgiveable, which leaves her as the likely victim.  yikes!as always, your journey into severus's complicated psyche was absolutely mesmerizing, and one of the reasons i love your stories so much.  you truly made me feel all of his agony.  it's so sad that he can't imagine that hermione might feel anything real for him.  and poor hermione having to deal with his ups and downs.  (i guess that's what happens when you try to pick up a porcupine!)i hope we don't have to wait too long for the next!
