All the while I was reading - especially the description of the terse smiles, most people "going along", and the absurdity of it all - I kept thinking of the Prisonner. The vibe I am getting from your writing reminds me of the vibe of that cult Brit show. Is it intentional?

It's even better than I thought it would be!  Umbridge's world is just scary.  And of course, who better to lead the resistance than the Bat himself?  Wonderful! 

Can I join Back in Black, too?  I have way too much forced cheerfulness in my life.   OK, OK, start my own movement; I get it.  I was a bit dubious about the story from the summary; the potential for my favorite characters being forced to do horrid pink things seemed high.  I'm one of those people who squirm with embarrassment for the characters sometimes and even have to stop reading certain stories because I can't stand it any longer.  But I liked this beginning very much!  You set the tone of a fascist, Umbridge-led society very well.  And thanks for hopping to the Resistance right away instead of making the rest of us despair for chapters and chapters, hoping for relief.  But your stories tend to move along very well, wihich people who hate suspense (like me!) appreciate greatly.  You know, I hadn't even thought about Fred and George when I read the summary but of course they'd have to just about be founding members of movement, wouldn't they?  Thanks for your work!

Don't care if Umbitch likes it too...I an drooling over Pink # 5 on the chart at beginning of chapter!!! Wouldn't dress in it for a entire outfit nor add other shades, but it would be great in shoes or a purse or a sweater.  Yep I'm hopeless!  

Hot pink patent leather over the knee/thigh high stiletto boots...heck yeah!!Alas the boot length would no doubt violate several decrees. Would still make awesome ankle booties tho. What can I say? I love pink in moderate amounts. Skip the ruffles and minimal lace. Fringe is good.  Really am enjoying this story!Missy/LovesRickman

I found this by clicking "Radom Story." What a delightful read. I can visualize the whole thing as some avant-garde David Lynch-like movie. Scary, absurd, and hysterical in its bizarre story line.

The idea of seeing Severus Snape in Pale Pink #1 would be worth the price of a ticket.
