Wonderfully done in messing with my brain.  It leaves me feeling similar to that of when I read that No Loyality in the Moonlight story (I think that is it).  At least with this one I know I'm suppose to be lost, mostly anyway at this point.  Nothing like having permission to think, "Huh?" and stare at the computer screen.  I hope the last chapter gives at least a pretty good idea about what is going on, or at least narrows it down some.  Waits to read more.

I love it!  I'm still guessing, and I'm one of those people who likes that!  I could see it ending here with lots of ambiguity.

Hmm.  The ambiguity opens up many possibilities, but one thing stands out.  If it's impossible for her to get out of the cottage without a wand, then is this last fall from the cliff another imagined fall?  And if so, is this the one that finally has enough 'impact' to bring her back to 'reality'? [Forgive the bad pun!]

Oh, my.  On the one hand, I'm thinking this is probably some sort of twist, and the next chapter is just going to toss me for a loops, but on the other, I can't help hoping that things are jsut as they seem and that things will turn out happy. *sigh* Reading on!

Hmmm. Already a total mind trip. I'm wondering  right now if he is Severus Snape or if he's really Harry after all, and you've put this in the Potions Under Duress category to fuck with out heads. lol  I shall read on to find out! :-D

This reminds me of a story I read where H & S were the only ones left, Snape creates a utopia but after awhile Hermione always sees through it and falls apart begging him to do it again. Im still pondering what is true and what is her drugged mind making up...

Whether or not it is or isn't Severus, what Hermione didn't read sounds vital.A very thought provoking story. Reality is only what you make it, although Hermione isn't really the one manipulating hers, as not taking potions hardly counts.

Still confused.  But I am enjoying this.  I was right about it being Severus.  But maybe Hermione is jailed somewhere, and all of this is in her head?

All right, which reality is...real? Is it Snape hiding them both from Voldemort? Was he there at Voldemort's bidding (to see if Harry had made a Horcrux and might return)? Or is Hermione nuts and it's really Harry? Reminds me a bit of the scene in Marathon Man when Janeway, the government agent rushes in and saves Babe (Dustin Hoffman). They're racing away in the car, franticly trying to escape as he questions Babe about the diamonds. Only to end up back where they started (with Zel) since he was never going to save him in the first place. If you haven't seen the movie or read the book this won't make much sense...LOL...you'll just have to trust me that it has the same updown feeling to it.So, is the next chapter up yet? No, Okay, I'll wait.How about now? Not yet, eh.How about now?

This is a very interesting story.  Well written.  I am not sure, as I am sure you intended, just exactly what is going on.  I feel Hermione's confusion.  My great fear is that it is all a lie.  Voldemort did not win.  She did not witness Ron's torture. Harry is not missing. And most of all Severus is not kind and in love, but rather a sadistic DE who has captured Herimone for his own evil games.  Boy do I hope I am wrong.  Looking forward to tomorrow's conclusion.  Thanks, JoAnne

Myself, I am not at ease with the explanations.  There is definitely something more going on than meets the mind....

By the way, I am loving this story.  It's very different than others I've been reading lately.  I love mysteries.

Oh, so many options.  The truth, drugs/potions, mental illness, implanted false memories, manipulation to drive her insane or to so confuse her to create a dependence and trust relationship with Snape.  I do believe Harry is alive somewhere, just not where she is.  I do believe Snape rescued her, whether under orders to do so or not, I am not sure yet.
