Hermione and Severus seem to continuously take two steps forward and one step back.  This can be bothersome to readers, who may see idling back to be a sign of wishy-washiness and immaturity in your characters.  Honestly, it just becomes kind of torturous after a while.

However, you have an excellent grip of romantic novel-writing and have certainly done your research in that area.  Your description of sexual scenes comes out a bit purple, but is otherwise passable.

I'm also waiting to see who will translate from Slytherin to Gryffindor for Severus, because he certainly hasn't been able to talk to her on his own.

Well, it's quite legitimate for Severus to offer her a deal, and it's her choice to take it or not.Poor Hermione has been through so much! And I feel equally sorry for Snape simply because he believes he has to resort to tactics all the time.Very well done, voice recog software and all -- yes, it did present a few mysteries I couldn't unravel. Yes!!!! Finally a Hermione making a stand for her self! I have read several stories lately where Hermione is presented as this rather weak and dumb woman, unable to put two sentences together and use her brain when Severus is around. And, reading to much of the same plots makes them rather boring and annoying. I wan't a Hermione with a backboone, able to stand up for her self, even if she has feelings for that (in this story) idiot Severus. Promise, promise that you will let us have the trial with Malfoy as Hermiones lawyer? If you let Hermione giving in to Severus blackmail and goes to bed with him, no matter if it is to "protect" her friends, I think I stop reading your story. Making her a whore, no matter what reasons, would never be a "happy ending" for me. I think Severus would have to realise that he has approached the situation the completly wrong way, and that he would have to find a new approach to save the mess he have gotten him self into. I want revenge on Percy, and I want Ginny (and Molly) to know that Percy obliviated her. Making that a public knowlegde should put a nice end on Percys carrier as a lawyer too. And, not a least, I found Dracos three demands  to be rather justified, and I think that Hermione, if she puts her brilliant mind to it, could make the sequel to "The darkest magic" one of her best books ever, both making amends to Draco and putting Severus down a peg or two. You are an awsome writer, I have no doubt that you not only have the plot finished in your mind (and maybe even written down), and I have faith in that you would, at the end, give us an ending we all find satisfactory. Keep up the good work and update again soon!!

Oh ohhh!  A battle pitting Slytherin against Gryffindor barristers!  And Draco to boot! This should be sweet to read, can't wait to see the next chapter.  Again, an excellent chapter... makes me wonder how Snape will react to Hermione's choice for a barristers.  *Rubs hands excitedly*  Bring on the battle!

For all he understands the Slytherin mind, he has little idea as to what makes a Gryffindor tick. You can dare them into things, but they respond strangely to being cornered.

I am sooo happy that she didn't give into her own desire when he tried to blackmail her at the end! Strange way to try to seduce someone!

They certainly have a lot to sort out -- it should be an entertaining court date! I do wonder about Hermione falling for Snape's fake Obliviate effect -- she seemed a bit too gullible -- but on the other hand, her anger will probably mean she's going to be a terror in court.
