I'm a married with two children (my son and husband.) At first I thought my older sister and brother were crazy, talking about Harry Potter. Then I was bitten by the bug, er...wolf. Without reading any of the books, I watched all of the movies. POA left me with so many questions that I broke down and read the books. I've been hooked ever since. I started out looking for Remus fanfiction and was dragged kicking and screaming into the SS/HG ship. I'm currently working on my second SS/HG fic.

“I would never harm her!” That lying dick. It's what he wanted to do all along. He premediated sexual assualt and poisoning (?) via potions. I'm glad Albus gave him the what for. Someone needs to, and I do hope that when and if he finds out exactly what he did to her, there will be more backlash. Since she doesn't remember, it will be hard to prove anything. Now, the whole potion thing still confuses me. So there was no more than one phial, and it's gone. Didn't he already manipulate the potion to do what he wanted after he'd administered it to her? (the suddenly wishing she'd forget the past 24 hours, etc.) Why can't he just do that again? Also, we've seen several instances in canon where Dumbledore was a powerful enough wizard to break through memory muck ups (those Voldemort put on his victims). I don't see why he couldn't go into her mind and do the same thing here to see for himself what happened, even if she wouldn't rightly remember it. At least the whole truth of it would come out. And I still think he should work on something to help her.I do like the Ginny and Harry part. It gives the reader a break from the frustration of the other plot.
I'm so glad that Harry was there, and I think Snape does deserve to be arrested. Now, let's hope he was bright enough to save more than one phial of antidote from a cauldron-full of potion. Otherwise, I'm sure a potions master could come up with something. He's got a lot of explaining to do. I look forward to seeing what Hermione has to say, and I don't doubt that Dumbledore will be disappointed. Heh, maybe he can help cure her. He was an alchemist. If he can find 12 uses for Dragon's Blood, I'm sure he can do something here as well. Toss Snape into a holding cell until his trial.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the way she had envisioned loosing [should be: losing] her virginity. Good grief. He goes from feeling guilty to wanting to do it again to feeling guilty. I have to admit that the whole this is a little confusing to me, the way the potion works. How can the effect of the potion suddenly change at will? Yes, she recognized him before after falling asleep, but she doesn't know b/c he'd just been thinking he didn't want her to? That kind of doesn't make sense. I mean, I guess it could, but it just doesn't seem like a potion would work that way, as if it's controlled by his thoughts. And he's hoping she won't remember any more after he brings her to her villa again. Also, the whole needing a wand to apparate is bugging me. Now Snape's running to the villa after her. LOL You know, Hermione is adamant in saying she doesn't approve of Oblivation Charms here, but I hope that means she won't be very forgiving of his addling her memories and erasing these as well. It's no difference. One is a charm and one's a potion. The good thing about this is that Harry is back at her villa and hopefully he'll kick Snape's arse and give her the antidote, the poor thing. I'm glad she didn't fall for his cheesy story about them being lovers for a while, etc. I was wondering where logical, smart Hermione had gone to.
Good Lord where to start. First thing first. They barley [should be: barely] knew one another. Secondly, wtf? It's like he's giving her a fricking lust potion, not the other stuff. Her character just doesn't really make sense to me. Sure, I could see an experienced 25-year-old Hermione agreeing to have sex with someone who's turned her on though she barely knows him. She's a bloody virgin who learned to write smut from Molly Weasley's sex tales.I just think this moved way too fast. I could see if he'd slipped her some lust potion or something, but she's nearly like a cat in heat all from a couple of touches, and she supposedly "loves" Snape. Uhhuh. Of course, I've never been a fan of "ho!mione". Not that this makes her a whore, but you know what I mean. Loose might be a better word.Thirdly, he mentions an ethical line. He's not skating along it. He crossed the damn thing. He's no better than some eager bloke at a club slipping rupies into a girl's drink and getting her to go back to her room with him on the pretense of giving her the ride of her life. When he tried to tell her that he truly wasn't whom she believed him to be, I'd hoped he'd have the balls to see it through, honestly telling her or at least stopping to regroup. However, it appears that 42 year-old-men are unable to think with the right heads either. Did he give himself some lust potion? snerkWhat bothers me is he thinks that the worst thing about her finding out what he's done (potions, lying, fucking her under false pretenses) is that she'll be mad at him. And he brushes that aside with a shoulder shrug. Uh, Azkaban? Sexaul abuse of this level means jailtime, mate, as does fucking with someone's mind via potions. Yeah, I don't like the choice he's made, but I am looking forward to seeing how it's dealt with. As he said, he can't keep giving her the draught each day. As someone who has experienced rape and molestation, I can only hope you've dealt with this or will deal with this accordingly and have not used it just as some plot to get them into bed. By the way, you don't have any other warnings on this chapter aside from explicit sexual content. Considering he's taking her body without telling her whom he is, I'd say it's non-con and not really even arguable as dubious. I didn't see any warnings before I started reading, which I do look for normally. Of course, I'd seen a chapter in queue, I think, and didn't realize this was the plot for it. Anyway, you might want to fix that.

's response: Sorry, I wanted to mention that she doesn't need a wand to Apparate, so I wonder why she was asking for his wand? She could have just used her inner magic and poofed off.
I think dear Severus is getting caught up in the novel, isn't he? I foresee him falling for her and tossing his need for revenge aside, but then I'm no Trelawney (thankfully). I still feel a bit sorry for Hermione in this. Looking forward to the next bit. ~clicks link~
Well, she was easily duped, wasn't she? I don't know that she would truly take a drink without checking it out, seeing as she thought of Moody's saying. Ugh, I'm so glad he stopped himself from going any further. I was hoping he wouldn't be dirty enough to go through with it. I think it's cute that he's parading around as someone else, but I think it's a shame he's keeping her drugged to do so. Playing a joke on someone with Polyjuice is one thing, but addling their mind and messing with their memories is another.

Thanks for reviewing. I had a difficult time dealing with the moral implications of what Snape is doing, but I consider him a character of extremes. JKR always said Snape in love was a bad idea. Well, chapter five will probably have you hating me...
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Reviewer)
Oh my. Let's hope not. I'll let you know what I think though.~goes to see if it's listed as non-con~I don't take her (JKR's) words to mean that exactly, but it is open for everyone to interpret their own way, eh?
I like the idea of someone basing a story on Snape. I read a story like this already at Ashwinder, and it was just priceless when he realized it was about him. I love his reactions here as well. I don't blame him for being tired of the snickering and wanting to take action. Looking forward to him finding out it's Hermione and the confrontation coming. :)
Ha. I have the perfect revenge. He needs to write his own book and paint her in a bad light. Bwahahahaha! Still cute. You’re in the prefect [should be: perfect] position to spy for us. Here’s what I want you to do.”
Moving along spledidly. Severus is such a snidey git at times, and you write him quite well - love it.Hagrid's party should prove interesting...
how is chapter 9 coming along
Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
Chapter nine is complete and about to be put into queue for validation. Thanks for asking!
Response from harrypotterfan2005 (Reviewer)

Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
Chapter eight was the last pre-written chapter. I just happened to finish chapter nine rather quickly. Thank goodness! I am also half-way through with chapter ten. With luck, I will be able to stay one step ahead. Cross your fingers and wish me luck. Thanks!
Response from harrypotterfan2005 (Reviewer)
just read chapter 9 on aff can't wait for chapter i got my fingers crossed that your step ahead.
What an unusual choice of a penname, Perdita. It is a tiny bee.
This rocks; H&G might be trying to reconcile; and Snape's 'got a lot of 'splainin' to do!!" That's a trip to the woodshed for you, young man.
Please update quickly!
Evil cliffie--I will read on!
Man oh man--SHTF!!! Can it get any worse??
Stolen bliss--but can Severus pay the price?? He owes her an explanation, big time.
I'm guilty as charged of reading my fair share of romance novels, esp. Harlequins, in the past. I'd love to read "Ms. Winters'" works (if they were real). anyway, I just love the genre with Severus and Hermione as the stars of the show!!!
I'm sure Severus is aware of the expression, "revenge is a dish best served cold." His idea of payback won't work if he *ahem* falls in love/lust with his object of--obsession!!
He knows--LEt the games begin!!
delicious!! But Snapey's just 'crying wolf,' right?
While I hope that Hermione and Severus straighten themselves out eventually, I REALLY hope that Harry and Ginny get back together for good! Thanks for writing.
It'll be interesting to see how Severus will make it up to Hermione. As the Brit's would say he's been naughty naughty.
Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
It's funny you should mention how naughty he's been because I ran into a horrible writer's block, trying to decide how Hermione would ever forgive him for such trickery. I think I've got it all planned out now. Thanks for reviewing.
oh boy, Hermione is in a world of trouble in a personal way and Severus is in aworld of trouble legally and to top it off Harry and Ginny aren't in the best of frames either. Girl, you got your work cut out for you!
Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
Didn't you know? I like a mess. I like taking the characters, throwing them up into the air, and seeing how they land. (Giggle) I know that I have my work cut out for me. That is why it will take two and a half years for the antidote to be administered. I figure that is enough time for things to cool down and for Hermione to learn to "forgive" Severus.
How on earth is he going to get out of that one? That was such a crap lie! I loved the chapter, it had me laughing my head off, I can't wait til Hary finds out!!
Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
(giggle) Yes, Severus got caught in a lie! Gasp! I wanted to illustrate that lying is bad. Once one starts lying, it just snowballs. Even more surprising is that Severus got caught in the lie in the first place, seeing as he was a spy. He he. Oh the irony! Thanks for reviewing. The next chapter is up.
Snape just keeps getting in over his head deeper and deeper. What will Dumbledore say? Can't wait for the next chapter!
Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
Yes, Severus has dug himself quite the hole. As for what Albus will say... the next chapter is up. Happy reading!
Oh, things are going downhill, aren't they? At least I'm glad to find out that Harry isn't such a cretin after all...
Response from Looneyluna (Author of Defamation of Character)
Well, that all depends on how you look at things. Now that Severus has been exposed, Hermione is safe. So, is Severus for that matter. Sometimes it is better to be caught than to wallow in lies :) Thanks for reviewing!
