Damn Hermione!!! That was completely BADASS! Although Severus is more stubborn than I thought. He was truly horrified that she thought he was a masochist. There's something more going on; depression maybe? I can't help but wonder how long will it take for them to reunite, since he said good-bye after she left, it seems that he's still planning on ignoring her. Maybe she could provoke him to react if she made him jealous. He wants her, and he seems to be the type who would deny wanting her, but wouldn't want anyone else to have her either.

WELL! is Hermione going to put up with that, how dare he tell her who she should love. Right now Severus has all the nerve of an inpacted wisdom tooth, and none of the charm, I hope Hermione womans up, and goes all Griffindor on his arse. She didn't put up with this sort of crap from Ron, it was canarys' full blast!

I love the story and am very happy when I see an update.   May I ask a favor?  Please humor the purists among your readers and change the last sentence of the first paragraph: Severus had literally taken her heart and stomped on it. He did not "literally" pull the physical heart from her chest cavity and step on the organ while she bled to death.  I realize many people now use "literally" for emphasis but once upon a time, it really meant "as it truly is, not figuratively" and the image of a flattened heart resulting in Hermione's rather messy end rather detracted from the story for me, which was a pity.  Thank you for your work -- I can't see what happens next!

Well... I agree with Martha.  He is being an idiot!  I hope he'll come to his senses before the class is over and Hermione has moved on to more promising pastures.  A lady can only stand so much ill treatment before she hardens her heart and writes the offending man out of her life... but then, this is Hermione we're talking about.  He's sure to see her at least one more time.  She'll want to tell him what she thinks about his behavior.C'mon, Severus.  Admit it, you find yourself attracted to her.  Big time!Beth

I agree with Martha; Severus is an idiot. But I am glad that Hermione realizes he's probably afraid, which we were able to see, is accurate. Now the question remains, what is Hermione going to do about it? Being Gryffindor, she's not going to let it go without at least confronting him. Which we all know, he desperately needs. I can't wait to see what happens.

I was looking for a fun summer story and this one fits the bill. I love the exchange with Snape and Martha. That gave me a chuckle. I look forward to more.
