Old enough. I'm a writer by heart, using the wonderful HP universe (specifically Severus Snape and Hermione Granger) as a canvas for my imagination as I learn the craft and strive to be published one day. In real life, I am a professional with a doctorate in my chosen field.

Thank heavens the baby is safe, for the moment anyway. I'm not looking forward to seeing whats in the mothers mind, any more than Severus.
It's very sweet that Severus knows what Hermione is thinking, but in real life it could be annoying. However, this couple love each other in a magical way and magic can fix anything!
How did I imagine that was going to happen? It's a very happy thought for now, but I'm sure the rose strewn path will be lined with a few thorns. In the mean time, I don't want to be vulgar, but I have a morbid curiosity regarding what Ronald could have done so terrible. When one isn't prone to that type of behavior one can't easily imagine what should fill in the blank. I don't watch horror films or read Steven King novels. I'm pretty innocent in this area. Are you ever going to give us a few details? We don't need all the gory in 3D. But, how did he get this girl to be so loyal to him that she would throw her baby in the garbage? Was she a drug addict that wasn't able to think straight because she was on crack or heroin? I'm imagining Ron is a sadist and maybe she was a submissive but without the appropriate rules of play because it wasn't play, it was real. Why is he still walking around free if he is like some serial rapist who tortures his victims? I'm pretty sure you will eventually tell us what horrible things have become of Molly. The build up must have a point. I hope Hermione is up for the revelation. Severus doesn't seem like he can take anymore stress.
It's an update! Praise the Gods! My only problem with this chapter: it's TOO short. ^_^
Response from Bardsdaughter (Author of An Orphan For Christmas)
Hang in there. The next one is longer... I think. I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Thanks for reading!
I am so totally happy to see this update, thank you so much. I fully understand that Real Life must take precedence at times, but boy am I happy you now have time to write again:-))

I think hermione is right to worry, if Molly finds out she will go right off the deep end.
Response from Bardsdaughter (Author of An Orphan For Christmas)
Hermione definitely has reason to worry. Then again, with Severus, the Malfoys, McGongall, and others on Hermione's side, Molly may be the one who needs to worry. Thanks for reading!
Response from mick42 (Reviewer)
I get the feeling, that Molly is not sane enough to worry.
You've updated! You've UPDATED! Oh, thank goodness! I was beginning to fear that this most excellent story had been abandoned! I soooo want to read more; please update again soon! This is awesome!
Response from Bardsdaughter (Author of An Orphan For Christmas)
I solemnly swear to NEVER abondon this or any other story I write. The updates may sometimes be turtle-slow, but never non-existent. I'm glad you are enjoying the story! Thanks for reading!
I am anxious to learn what a changeling is. Hopefully you will explain it soon. I don't usually go for dark stories but this has me hooked.
Response from Bardsdaughter (Author of An Orphan For Christmas)
I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Hang in there. The explanation is forthcoming... at least I hope it suffices as an explanation. If not, I'll try again. Thanks so much for reading!
Very descriptive writing! The flashbacks are interesting ways to help us learn more about the motivations of your characters. How wonderful to be so loved! However, with that link does Hermione ever think, "What. A. jerk!" and Severus looks her way with a knowing smirk and raised eyebrow or give her the cold shoulder? Is he prone to pouting? I do hope not. A good row is better than a pouting man any day!
How horrible that the girl has to die. What a poverty of justice. If only she could live to testify against the Weasel! Sounds like he should be permanently locked up with Lockhart if not in Azkaban.
Has Molly become a psychopath? I can't wait to find out what her problem is.
Extremely interesting! Different. I like it very much. Your writting style is unique.

Oh, no! It's just too awful to imagine. It makes it all the worse when you realize that even in this day and age, these scenes still play out around the globe. So sad! :(
Excellent beginning!!! The things people do to each other, for good or ill, will never cease to amaze me. I'm off to the next chapter. :D
Yay for Poppy saving the day! Can't wait to read the next chapter!!

Oh my, this was a rough start of a story.. And here I am, and no more chapters yet. You leave me very curious to what's following. I like how you protraid the three wixards so far, although I find it hard to imagine teenageSeverus helping a nurse, esp in baby-care. Then again we do know that thoise with the hardest shells need said shell due to a soft core. Ron's shattered life is so sad, and several victims? I'm not sure its the right thing to keep the Ministry out of this, but you can still convince me! Yes, Molly has done has share of child raising! Keeping a grand-child from her is bound to cause trouble eventually. I hope she can see senses that she's not the only one to care for this obviously very strong little girl.

I wonder why it is important to keep the baby away from Molly. What does Molly do to the babies?
