Old enough. I'm a writer by heart, using the wonderful HP universe (specifically Severus Snape and Hermione Granger) as a canvas for my imagination as I learn the craft and strive to be published one day. In real life, I am a professional with a doctorate in my chosen field.
Reviews for An Orphan For Christmas
Poppy is very astute. :)
Oh, the poor girl!
Sounds like a most unpleasant place. I hope they don't encounter anything too sinister! :0
This is intriguing. Dark and sinister. Can't wait to see how it plays out!
Oh, no, can it be a Weasley?
Hi,what an excellent family scene! Now I understand where Minerva has got her stamina from! It has served her well at Hogwarts.
You will have to tell us how she interacted with Severus during his year as headmaster.
One tiny thing: "The young witch currently hold up in the room"
It should be "holed up".
Yeaaa update!!!!
Her sharp gasp pierced the sudden silence in the room, and then the words scrambled from her throat. "What are you doing here?"
Who on earth can that be? Please let it not be any of the Weasleys... maybe it's Poppy...
Beth
Who??? Loved the spiritual assurance to Severus.
Wonderful to see an update, I wonder who has turned up to spoil Hermione's day.
As always totally trilled to see an update to my favourite story
Oh, good grief ... please update soon! The suspense is killing me! I love this story, and the wait for the next chapter will surely do me in!
Just getting caught up; that last chapter chilled my blood. Brrr, dementors, changelings. It's good to see this young family has solid support behind them. Can't wait to see what happens next.
"Once again, she was living her nightmare." I don't think the word nightmare even comes close to what's in store for all of them. *shivers*

So both Ron and Molly are changelings? Does that mean that Molly is not Ron's mother? Does Molly know that she is a changeling? I guess I'm a little confused about the meaning of "changeling." But when all is said and done, it doesn't really matter, does it? Both of them are changelings and will do whatever they need to just to get what they want.*shakes head* I can't imagine what will happen the next time "they simply cannot help themselves.” This could easily go from "bad to "the most horrible thing imaginable" in a hurry.Very interesting plot!Beth

I'm glad you are enjoying the story. Thanks for reading!Kim
Excellent story Bardsdaughter! Read it straight through and sad there's no more yet. :) I don't know how to explain why but it satisfies what I need to read in a good story. Will be eagerly looking forward to your next update.
This Ron seriously makes me ill. I always found him to be remarkably self-centered with very little regard for or even comprehension of the needs and feelings of others. But this Ron makes me wonder if the Weasley family is the one with an unhealthy percentage of troll blood running through their veins. Thank goodness Severus and Hermione arrived in time to rescue little Rose from an extremely short life. Even better, that they're taking steps to ensure that she avoids the clutches of the family that produced the unmitigated wanker who provided half of the genetic material that resulted in her birth. I refuse to call Ronald Weasley her father. He is completely undeserving of the honor implicit in that title.

Unfortunately, no troll blood. Thanks for reading!
OMG! Ever since chapter six, I have wondered what Severus had seen when he looked into the mind of the poor girl who had given birth to the precious baby girl who would call him Father. And now that I know, I just want to see Ron Weasley and his family pay for all the pain and destruction they have caused. I hope that the Malfoys will be able to identify the name of Rose's biological mother... but I have to wonder how they might know... there is more here than meets the eye. Thanks for another great chapter!Beth

Oooo! A birthday prezzie for me! I liked seeing the girl's memories from Severus' point of view. It adds quite a bit of detail to your story. The idea that Lucius and Narcissa might be able to identify the girl and give her back her name is inspiring. ^_^

Happy belated birthday! Thanks for reading!
This chapter raises so many questions, who sold the girl to Ron, and why has he not been brought to justice? Looking forward to more.

Thank you for reading!
In chapter 1, Hermione describes Ron as "sick and in need of help." But here, he is shown to be a vicious criminal. Why is he allowed to be free and able to commit crimes on children? At the very least, why hasn't he been castrated so he cannot harm others while he is "allowed to heal"? There is something I don't understand about the way his crimes are being handled.

Hopefully the answers to your questions will be satisfying. Thank you for reading!
Thank you so much for the update. I am quite sure there is no hell warm enough to give Ron Weasley what he so deeply deserve, but I do hope you have some justice in mind for him. But, someone must have helped Ron getting that poor girl, there was a third person involved, will we get to know who and will you please make sure that person gets to share Rons faith?Totally awesome story, I love it!!!!

Oh how sad & beautiful at the same time Severus honoring the person who gave him his daughter and the the torment that she went trough. If I had theRon in front of me I would have killed him. Outstanding chapter.
