Right. I would like to state, for the record, that I WILL finish "She Married Her Choice". I will. Assuming I am in control of my own destiny and accomplishments, that is. ;-)
Unfortunately, real life (mainly an attention craving three-year-old) and inspiration have been keeping me from creative endeavors for a while now. I do foresee a time when that shall pass, but until then, I ask for your patience.
Thank you!

WOW!!!!! Draco succeeded, and I hope you tell us what happened. Did he use potection when he handled the Cup?
Harry sounds exactly like a young teenager, not prepared with the Sword, not thinking why he would be summoned, overly confident. Very clever of Hermione to act that way when the intruder showed up, and excellent of Severus to find and stun Alecto Carrow. But how did Alecto get through his wards??? Too scary!
I hope Severus is able to do what he intends at this meeting. Go, Severus!!! Thank you for the new chapter.
Really enjoying the story. Lots going on. Looking forward to the next installment. Nice job with the 'visitor'.
Great update, the plot thickens and i am on the egde of my chair waiting for more:-))
I was going to say it looks like Sev isn't ever going to get his bed back, what with it doing double duty as substitute infirmary, except it seems that will cease to matter soon as everything comes to a head. Very clever Hermione, spotting the intruder and behaving appropriately.
Eep for Draco. Aww for Snape's more tender side. Wow for Hermione sticking up to Snape, and Go, Harry! :)
Oooh, so glad for an update! Things are progressing nicely, if Harry doesn't go too heroic.
Poor guy - he's fallen and he's fallen hard. Denial is a terrible thing.
I'm enjoying the more mature versions of Harry, Hermione and even Draco. It makes the tale so much more rewarding.
Great chapter! The conversations between Severus and Harry and then between Severus, Harry, and Draco were excellent. I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter, though it does look to be a bit sadder than this one. Thank you for sharing.
Such an excellent deviation from DH, more logical and has competency written all over it. In canon, the DL`s downfall was all down to luck, whereas you can read of more organised (and teamwork) resistance against the DE and their DL in fanfiction. Yours is a very great example.
Poor Ron. He was very courageous, and while I don`t ever want to see him end up with Hermione, I would not want to see him dead in any way either, though it would seem to be the case here. Still, he will leave surrounded by his best friends. RIP.
Hmm.... does that mean you will spare Draco and Snape? Hope they survive.
Thank you very much and looking forward to more.
This story remains excellent. I really LOVE all you're doing to right the wrongs of DH. If only Rowling had seen our favorite characters as the the team they could have become! I can't thank you enough for giving us the ending we deserved. Well done!
All three of them seem to have grown up a little. Good one. :)
There are things to be happy about and some really sad things in this chapter. I'm glad that Severus, Harry and Draco are on the same side. I'm happy that Hermione was able to see Harry and Severus being civil to each other, and that they have the diadem in their hands now. I'm sad to see that Ron is apparently in extremis now.
What will Severus do now that Poppy has seen Harry, Severus and Draco together?
This is a very good, very tense chapter. Thank you!
Beth
So much going on, but I love the way you re-write what happened into something that makes far more sense.
Wow. This was an edge-of-the-seat chapter, very tense and well written. I was glad Harry didn't go off on a temper tantrum although it was a bit close at times, and glad Severus remembered to get Draco. VERY impressed that Severus controlled himself from trying on the diadem – He felt a slight pull to try it on and see if it still bestowed wisdom, but thinking of Dumbledore's experience with the cursed ring was enough to quell the impulse. I confess I might have forgotten and put on the diadem.
I am not sure if the Cup is really at the Riddle house as Harry "saw" in Voldy's mind, or if Draco will be walking into a trap, so I hope Harry gives Draco every bit of help he can even if he has to lend him The DH Invisibility Cloak. Any chance Severus can check out the Gringotts vault first, before sending Draco to the Riddle house? I like this Draco too much to see him walk into a trap, and Draco could really help the good guys.
Thank you for the new chapter!!
Oh, that doesn't sound good for ron. But I love the whole Snape and Harry working together thing.
ACKKKK! You left us with a CLIFFIE!!!!
I do like the way that a new alliance is forming between Potter, Malfoy and Snape (and Hermione). They can all be VERY STRONG together and hopefully beat snakeface. I hope Ron doesn't die, but at this point it doesn't look good. I'll be looking forward to your next update!
Oh, no! Everything was working out so well! Damnit Weasley, why'd you have to rain on everyone's parade by dying? Ugh,honestly, that boy has the worst sense of timing.
He felt a slight pull to try it on and see if it still bestowed wisdom, but thinking of Dumbledore's experience with the cursed ring was enough to quell the impulse. That and the fact he'd look utterly ridiculous. excellent point :)
“And who says I'll need defending?” Potter's voice said from a few feet away.
“Seven bloody years of experience,” Snape muttered, and walked out the door.
Ha! So true.
I feel better the more people Snape adds to his side. Although it is interesting that he doesn't want any of his colleagues to know what side he is on, but students, they are coming on board left and right.
I did enjoy the beginning of the "friendship" between Snape and Harry. Contrary to Hermione's wishes, I don't think that they will ever be best buddies, but at least they can have a solid working relationship.
As for Ron, I hate to see him die, but it will be one less thing to worry about. It didn't look like there was any way for him to recover. She has been treated well by Snape and Harry both. I hope they can be supportive for her in the right way. Men sometimes have no clue. I hope this isn't one of those times.
I had assumed and accepted from the beginning that Ron was going to die at some point. But to realize it through Hermione's eyes was a different kind of painful.
Oh, Harry ... you can't blame him for hating Snape, but at the same time you want to shake him and show him that obviously Snape is on their side. Just seeing the state of Hermione's health and well-being should really be enough. I am glad that Harry will have the opportunity for some closure before they lose Ron. Something positive must be on the horizon for these guys, right?
I like Filius baing smart enough to know he needs to be obliviated. Showing Hermione under imperio is a good solution. I wonder how she'll take to being controlled.
Fabulous chapter. I loveFlitwick.
Love the way she told him off. :)
Ahh, Flitwick the Ravenclaw figured it out! Good thing he also figured out that he needed to be Obliviated. I wonder who will think of asking the Grey Ghost as Ravenclaw's guardian. Thank you for the new chapter. Glad you had a nice vacation!!
Great chapter! It was a classic, the way it was written. I particularly enjoyed Hermione's statements to Snape when he was losing it - in fact, I thought when I was reading it, when that (freaking out and losing it) happens to people I know and I'm around them, why can't I be that quick and say something like that? That was great!
And I also liked Flitwick's scene. It was terribly funny how he was ready to be Obliviated from the minute he came through the door!
