Right. I would like to state, for the record, that I WILL finish "She Married Her Choice". I will. Assuming I am in control of my own destiny and accomplishments, that is. ;-)
Unfortunately, real life (mainly an attention craving three-year-old) and inspiration have been keeping me from creative endeavors for a while now. I do foresee a time when that shall pass, but until then, I ask for your patience.
Thank you!

Oh, Sev, you're being such a Negative Nellie! :0
I'm so glad that Minerva knows the truth about Severus and that Hermione is not kept under the Imperius all the time. It was very sweet of him to give Hermione her wand so she could protect herself from Carrow if need be.
When Ron's finger twitched I thought he might be regaining consciousness. Even though he didn't wake up, I wonder if he is becoming more aware of the goings on around him? Since Hermione forgot to dress, will Ron awake sometime in the night and find her naked in the bed with him?
This chapter was averygoodun!

Filius was brilliant! I'm so glad he told Severus that he thought he should Obliviate him and put Hermione under the Imperius. Now she won't inadvertently give away anything when they are in the presence of other people.

“I wouldn't do that to you, Min. You're much too invaluable.”“Meaning the paperwork alone would strangle you.”“Just so. Oh you had me in giggles!!! I am always happy when Minerva and Severus can be friends. You have me all sorts of worried about the upcoming "end" Any hints?
Response from averygoodun (Author of Shelter)
Whee! I love making people giggle! It makes me smile rather largely.
No hints except that we're not even halfway through the story yet. Key characters haven't been (re)introduced!
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
Not even half way huh? Thats flipping AWESOME! I am here for the ride.
I liked seeing Hermione blush as she was tied to the bed. Is this a hint for us more astute readers?
Minerva will be a great asset. :)
I am glad he is not so lonely anymore although it can be dangerous
Can`t help but be buoyed by the kindness and small thoughtful gestures shown in this chapter. Am really anticipating how you will end this. Thank you very much!
Oh, I hope Minerva is able to keep her thoughts hidden. If not, Obliviate her just as Flitwick was. Draco must be very confused right now, poor guy. And what was that twitch by Ron? Thank you for the new chapter!
Response from averygoodun (Author of Shelter)
She is, don't worry. Though whether she's really on their side... *laughs evilly*
Yes, I think Draco is rather confused. I think he's more than that. As for Ron, I'll leave it up to you to interpret. :-)
I'm glad Minerva is back on his side. This somehow makes me feel better.
Poor Severus.... I am really hoping you will not be following canon too closely in terms of the conclusion for Severus. Can`t wait to read more, thank you.
excellent. I am enjoying this. It is scary how many people are figuring out Snape's secret but it is good to see he has support. I love the way Hermione figures out ways to add verisimilitude to her act.
Their little gestures of kindness and thoughtfulness towards each other are wonderful against a backdrop of such miserable times.
As much as I feel bad for Severus because I know he wants to be convincing, I love how each and every staff member, one by one, are seeing through the act. I suppose it shows how much trust and/or respect they have between them that they recognize his deception.
I am eager to see what's next.
You simply MUST draw this "Flitwick went into a thinking pose and hummed" I can picture it in my minds eye as kind of a cartoon. I know you can do better than that! Oh I just loved the Filus bits in this chapter. Wait that sounds bad.
Oh my goodness I am not sure who that little display was most difficult for? Hermione? Severus? Minerva? The student body? I need a drink.
Response from averygoodun (Author of Shelter)
And yet, there's worse to come. What were those kahlua spiked drinks Firefly made in the Trio's room? You might need one of those.
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
Oh yes if only Diane was within reach!
Oh this was wonderful banter in this chapter! I feel like if they could just see eachother as equals! If only!
Response from averygoodun (Author of Shelter)
:-D They're getting there. Though this is a friendship fic, remember!
Response from MollysSister (Reviewer)
When you say "friendship fic" does that mean no fun naked times with Snape? ((wibbles))
Too bad he had to get rid of one of his new allies. Hopefully, the Carrows will go with the new plan.
Response from averygoodun (Author of Shelter)
True, but an unreliable ally can be worse than an enemy! Besides, he has the knowledge now that he's not alone, even if the facade says otherwise!
Yes, hopefully they will. But them Carrows are tricksy villains, they is. Or at least Alecto is. Amycus is a lump.
Am enjoying your plot and writing style, and am looking foward to more. Well done!
Aww, he has no confidence. Granted, his track record is lacking.
I guess Ron will have to go underground now. :)
Bella's for it now! :)
Just brilliant, truly brilliant. I love how you kept an aspect of the Hallows in there to give it that extra oomph of emotion, allowing Harry his reunion, but kept it subtle enough to not overpower the story. If only JKR had done the same ;)
It was funny seeing Harry be so dense in this chapter. I hope that everything works out all right. Severus' regard for Hermione is quite beautiful, but I can see her reaction to not wanting to fall off the pedestal.
The end is here, eh? Well, let's see what they've got!
Interesting reading Snape compare Hermione to Lily....That was a big confession. Even if he did say he didn't love her. That statement doesn't mean much coming from a man used to deflecting things.
The complications of life. This is nail-biting.
