Severus Snape receives a ransom note. The only problem is, he isn't entirely sure to whom it refers ... the love of his life??

love it - very fun
Well, Skeeter got sort-of something right. Geez, that kidnapper is a total idiot. He's true to form. Glad it all worked out and enjoyed the fireworks in the fight and between our lovely couple.
Lovely lovely!
Hermione if she werent so distracted by imminate sex with Severus would have tortured thoes vile Retrievers personally. Can you imagine the damage to the books??
Severus taking a stripe out of Sluggy's backside for distrupting his routine! That is contankerous guy to a T. Oh and Sluggy as the villian. EXCELLENT. You completely surprised me.
Kingsley was written beautifully. He let Severus be in charge and was only there for humor and mop up duties. Love it!
I do always love it when Severus starts to kick arse and take names. Also - Slughorn?! Makes perfect sense with the cast you're working with, but I still laughed until it hurt XD
Worst of all, they had deliberately started a fire to flush her and Severus from hiding without even considering how their actions would endanger or destroy books!
There's our Hermione!
I loved this chapter. I loved how suddenly Severus's romantic side came out. I never expected the mastermind to be Slughorn. I fully agree that Kingsley should clean up the mess while Severus and Hermione enjoy Antigua.
I'm glad we're getting more chapters than originally thought. :)
Sublime.
Thank you for sharing~Elou
I think that Severus would do well to let Harry find out what Slughorn did because he would never have to dirty his hand with the scum if he did.
Worst of all, they had deliberately started a fire to flush her and Severus from hiding without even considering how their actions would endanger or destroy books!
‘Interrupting my daily routine? Completely unreasonable.’
Oh, I do so love these two! They definitely have their priorities straight. Antigua does indeed wait. Perhaps it would be best if they were far away from home once Skeeter starts gloating.
~Sighs happily and awaits the epilogue.~
I'd never thought Slughorn was behind it all. And I agree with Hermione, there's a special hell for people who burn books.
Hope Severus and Hermione will have fun in Antigua.
After all, in a world where Severus Snape, the Dark wizard of her wildest dreams, could call her ‘extraordinary’ and kiss her so savagely, there wasn’t anything she could not do.
Maybe it is a tad over the top, but I can't help that I love it! I suppose Severus is not his former self, but he's been improved by his new lot. I am definitely looking forward to the epilogue.
Sluggo!! I never saw that coming, but it so makes sense that he would get young kids to do his dirty work, that he would choose a "girl" for his victim, and that he would feel entitled to the gold. Still, his thugs made the choice to participate with him, so they too must be punished. The Ministry needs a system for after-hours emergencies, instead of waiting for the next workday. Thanks for the new chapter, and I love your Subversa-math!
Hah! I love how Hermione's most worried and upset about the burning books than anything else. And Slughorn! I never saw THAT coming! Good job!
Never in a million years would I have thought of Horace Slughorn as the brains behind the scheme. The poor conniving sod will have to pay for this folly, and while our favorite couple enjoy their holiday in Antigua, he will be trying to talk his way out of trouble.

Well, even if Rita got it right this time, I hope the plain, but ambitious, girl puts her in a jar anyway.
At long last, they acknowledge their mutual attraction. In their own unique way, of course.
Lovely chapter! Drugged!Hermione was sweet, and I loved the kiss.
And now there's smoke and a fire... ~wibbles and worries about our couple and the archives~
Extraordinary! And so was that kiss! What a great surprise. I didn't think he'd do anything, but I think even he was surprised by her valor. Very nice build up.
this is really interesting
Simply looooove it!!!
Severus there are worse things than being inconsistant. The first one that springs to mind is incontient.
I very much enjoyed the drugged Hermione. But sober Hermione is going to be fun too. Tell me she gets to kick ass and take names??
Hermione didn't seem to be quite herself, but of course, that may work out well since she can show her interest in Severus to him without her normal inhibitions.
What a cliffie!
Finally! Finally he kissed her! :-) Oh, this chapter is a beauty. It's one I could read again and again (and probably will) because it's just so full of perfect in-character thoughts for the both of them (and about the other, too!). Lovely!
Shame on you! That is a horrible place to leave us. Still, you did give us the last minute impulsive kiss and that counts for a lot in my book. He can't possibly have any reservations in kissing her when she has made herself so blatantly interested in him. I'm looking forward to a little bit of fighting, then a whole lot of loving. Hooking up by being stuck in an index will be a wonderful story to tell their grandkids :)
What? A cliffie? In the middle of a fire? There is no other explanation—you iz ebil! Well... not exactly ebil... Severus did kiss Hermione, after all.
I hope they kick ass when they get out of the atlas, and then I hope they do a little insect collecting. *hands them a mayonnaise jar and a flyswatter*
This really was a wonderful chapter!!!

Smoke?!?! This is not good. I'm so glad Snapey was awake to smell the smoke, and of course he had a spare wand with him. Go, Snapey!! Thanks for updating, and I hope you have tricks upyour sleeves.
