‘What’s the matter with my bum?’ she demanded hotly. ‘I’m not even thirty yet!'
*giggle* This line made me smile. How dare he insult her bum, the cad! LOL
That smoke and flames is a very bad sign. I hope our pair escape unharmed.
And the intrigue continues. Is this going to follow "Subversa math" I thought you said 4 chapters?
You. Are. Extraordinarily. Ebil.

The index?!
Well, I suppose they'll just need to make their own fun.
;-)
Oh ho!
I knew that's what he would do with key cards!
I love Sara, by the way.
And Snape in glasses, of course.
stupid internetz ate my comment. *iz cranky* hm. i believe it said something about how you are really back now, ms. queen of the evil cliff-hanger. ;P i love watching you weave these tiny little threads that are the beginning of their relationship. :) and i can't wait until that nasty rita skeeter gets what she deserves. oh, yeah, and the kidnappers too, of course.
You are already making it near impossible for me to stop and leave individual reviews.
Leaving me in suspense like this. Shame on you.
Poor Gabs!
They had shown up en masse—both of them—to ‘protest’ the sale of sentient beings. Hermione and ??
Enquiring minds are shuffling along to the next chapter...
Another great chapter! I especially liked that last little bit ;D Keep up the great work, can't wait to read more!
a look of pure mischief dancing from the corner of her eye, as if she knew more about him than he knew about himself.
Very clever line. And despite the odd setting, I felt that I could really see everything as it happened. I'm looking forward to their revenge on the beetle.
In the same paragraph he considers himself to be an unsavory git and a gentleman. Perhaps she is not the only one with a distorted view of him.
I love it!
I suppose smoking them out was one way of doing it! :)
I broke my vow not to read this till it was completed because I just couldn't stand it anymore and what happens? Leaping out of a book--a book!--into a fire and "You are extraordinary." SQUEE.
I hoped you would come.
Curious thing to say, unless Hermione knew there was to be a ransom plot. Like maybe she set it all up to get 'the love of her life' to rescue her!
But, then there was this fire. I don't know if she would be so desperate to do this with a fire in a library ... unless she was trusting someone to help her that wasn't trustworthy.
Just a thought.
So she was drugged just enough in the beginning to act with a little reckless abandon and give him ideas... I love it.
The quick kiss reminds me of the original Star Wars movie. She kissed him and said it was for luck.
Well, I guess he decided he didn't want to listen to that other voice after all. GOOD! Great chapter.
What’s the use of being kidnapped if you can’t snuggle?
Indeed! Every situation should have its bright side!
they were assailed by billowing smoke and leaping flames.
So it was getting warm in there in more ways than one. Tee hee! I'm loving SelfDenial!Snape and Drugged!Hermione. Can't wait to see them in action together against the kidnappers. Perhaps they can go beetle catching for their first date?!
EEEE! Kisses and cliffies! Well done!
Am totally hooked! <3
‘Do you think I can levitate you up through the trap door and fight off your captors at the same time?’ he snapped.
Hermione looked up at him with an expression of absolute trust. ‘Yes,’ she replied, surprised that he even had to ask.
*adores*
Whether she was so truthful because of the potion or not, that's a wonderful moment. :D
I've been so eager to read this, and have saved it as a reward for a task I'd been putting off. What a great reward it is! It's so nice to see Snape given his just reward for service, able to retreat from society as much as he wishes.
Love the intrigue and the humor - the House Elf Gabs (who can't).
And I laughed out loud at ‘That’s not typical behaviour for a common barn owl,’ he said
Great beginning! :D
You and SubHub are a wonderful team! Hermione's Map is a great bit of magic and funny at the same time.
Severus' easy manipulation of Sara Creevey also made me laugh - although she's chicken feed. I'm eager to see how he handles Hermione. Actually, I'm eager to see this Hermione who admits her fancy of Severus - at least his bum! :D
He should be thankful she didn't have the book open at Antartica! :)
Hermione has been ogling Snape's bum! Well, there has to be some perks in working amongst all those dusty old archives. :)
The man has a hero complex after all. Just strides off into the distance to save some wench he didn't even realise he was interested in. I think someone is setting him up... :D
