I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.
Admins' Note: Livvy6 died suddenly on February 22, 2012, leaving behind her husband, six-year-old daughter, and seventeen stories well-loved by the TPP community. All who knew her—including those in Harry Potter fandom and all of us, here—are richer for having known her.
Requiescat in pace, Livvy. Always.
Reviews for La Chasseresse
Hello Livvy :)Did I overread something? When I read this, I thought there had to be another chapter before this one. When did Hermione and Snape have their first contact in Paris? When did he make his plans? I'm missing something here. But I enjoyed the reading nonetheless very much and I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

I hope by now you've gotten the mess with the chapters sorted. Sorry about that! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I love Katya! "stary perdun" indeed. ;) I'm also intrigued by the good ol' boys of the potions profession. I hope they'll figure into the plot more! Great OCs, in other words, and I love Hermione's glam Paris storefront too -- thanks for another great chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Thanks! Hermione just wouldn't be Hermione if she didn't stand out! :)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
This is why I don't usually read WIP's. I'm so caught up in this story. Great job! I can't wait to read more.

It's strange that previous to this night he hadn't heard of La Chasseresse or that Hermione Granger was said Huntress. With his newfound train of thought focused on Hermione Granger I can't help but wonder what exactly will the catalyst / moment of realisation that everyting will fit in place? All of his thoughts for Alice Hermione's parentage, the fact that his body knows Hermione. I think subconsciously he knows it's Hermione that he's looking for, but is still unwilling to completely accept it.Eaglerly looking forward to seeing what happens next!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Well, Snape has been in England, stuck in his teaching rut. Besides, Hermione was still working on getting recognized. By the time the Symposium came round, it would be a good place and time for Snape to hear about this new potioneer.I wish I could tell you more about how it all comes together, but I can't. Yes, I think his subconscious knows, but he isn't aware fully. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
oh man! like every other comment i make, i really just want to keep reading! you write fabulously. i cannot wait for the next chapter. :D
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Thank you! Things are going to start picking up with the next chapter. Very soon, Severus and Hermione will be face to face! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy

Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Yes, it's strange since he knew her as a first-year... but He will get over it, now that she's grown-up.Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
oh my! Severus is NOT figuring this out! LOL. Oh he is going to be such a wreck when he does. OMG!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Oh yes, he will be at a loss when it hits him fully. Then he will have to deal Hermione's wrath! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
It is a painful story but then so many things that happen in war time are painful. I have been drawn into the story and can't stop reading. Excellent!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Thank you! I hope you continue to enjoy it!Livvy
Wow, it just makes me feel sorry for the families of death eaters. Thinking about the fact that death eaters were once just kids, human beings with parents and friends. It's sad.Poor Snape still hasn't figured it out. Oh dear, what will he do when he DOES! I can't wait to find out!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Yes, it is sometimes easy to forget that the enemy has family that loves them as well, that they are human beings as well.Snape is going to be a wreck when the reality sets in.Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Great chapter and worth the wait. I hope things are getting better for you personally Livvy. Thanks again for sharing your great talent with us.

Thank you. Yes, things are a bit of a struggle, but prayer and my darling DH are my rocks. My depression has gotten real bad lately. Writing helps a lot!Thank you for thinking of me! :)Livvy
No matter how much Severus tries to not notice that Alice reminds him of someone from his past, there is always a time when he will see her and be reminded of... who? When Alice smiled at him he noticed her dimple. When he thought of the dark curly haired little girl, he wondered about her name.
“Miss Longbottom,” he began, “I never quite understood the reason for your name. Alice, of course, makes complete sense and is only fitting that your father named you after his mother. I knew her. She was a loving, gentle, young woman. However, how did you come by your middle name?”
But this time instead of wondering, he asked her and found that she was the goddaughter of Hermione Granger… and she was apparently going to take after her godmother and be a “hand-waving know-it-all”… another bane of his existence.
I suppose for a time his mind was distracted from all of these musings about the little girl when he had been to Avery Manor to help search the dungeons for the body of the girl he had been haunted by for so long. However, all that came to a screeching halt when they found nothing, and he had to admit that he had not bothered to notice anything about her physically, no birthmarks, not even the “V” brand that had been burned into her shoulder blade. Nothing.
During his recent attendance at the Potions Symposium in Moscow, he has once again been reminded of Hermione. Every single Potions master there was abuzz about this new Potions upstart in Paris who had taken the city by storm, and he found that her name was Granger. Poor Severus. Even as he was pounding into the delectable eighteen-year-old Russian Potions apprentice he could not get Hermione off his mind, and it almost cost him his bits. After he returned to his room for the night, he could not stop thinking about Hermione. In the throes of his own self-induced orgasm, he has vowed to find Miss Granger and see why she has claimed his thoughts and his fantasies. Where did this attraction to her come from when he had never thought of her that way before… or had he?
All the while Severus is trying to come to terms with this fascination for Hermione Granger, she is truly coming into her own and making quite a name for herself in the Potions world.
Thanks for another great chapter! I am loving this story.

Beth,What would I ever do without your insight? Thank you SO much for helping me along the way. I appreciate it more than words can say.Livvy
You've got Alice Hermione with the perfect mix of the polite young woman she is being taught to become, and the spunky know-it-all that is bursting at the seams to garner attention from the teacher most children probably still fear. The clues to her parentage are all there, he just hasn't quite had the spark to get that fire burning. He even wonders if she will be a Slytherin. I both hope and fear the recognition that is surely coming soon. The whole broom closet scene was weird. I don't mean weird like poorly done or out of place, just ... weird. Why on earth is he thinking of Hermione at such a time? I mean, she was on everyone's tongue tonight, even being described for her much noted physical attributes. Of course she was on his mind. But he was in the middle of perfectly good sex with the type of woman who interests him, and he goes thinking about the huntress. Is it just the famaliarity of knowing her in a previous life so to speak, or the fact that he is wowed by her prowess in the difficult world of potions? Or is there something more important going on? I am loving this build up, but I just really want him to find out so things can explode and then hopefully start to heal. It is like ripping the band-aid off quickly, let's just get it over with. I do wonder from her point of view where she is at in her life. She is obviously successful professionally, but has she moved on past the demons of Severus Snape and his appearance on her doorstep will open old wounds? Or is she still plagued on a daily basis with thoughts of him?Livvy, you've got such a good thing going here you have me dying to know more. ( That is my subtle way of begging for more, quickly)
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
I see it as a line of demarcation. The fact he IS with a woman that would satisfy him suddenly isn't enough anymore. He's been listening to all the talk about this woman, who he knows, but the rest don't. She is a mystery, and men love a mysterious woman. She is also the mixed combination of brilliant intellect and a devastating body, which has to be a double turn on. It was my way of finishing the hold of Lily on him. Now he can focus all on this new Hermione. She isn't the girl he knew. She is a woman of the world and grown-up, sexy - in fact, she meets ALL the criteria in his mind for the perfect woman for the now mature Snape. Thanks for your insight!Livvy
oooh, dear. Well, he IS a very observant kind of wizard what with being a spy. I'm afraid this secret will not last long. Should be fun, though.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Oh, yes. I do think je will be in a bit of denial and not want to connect things, but he will be dragged into seeing the truth. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Poor Hermione. I hope she finds her way again and can somehow come to terms with the way things have happened.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
She will find her ways, but, it won't be until the truth is out that she can really deal with all that has happened. You will see how she deals with her pain in coming chapters. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Hmmm, to go from 0 to 60 in seconds flat?!?! Severus went from not giving a flying fuck about Hermione AT ALL, to wondering what she'd be like to shag??? What the hell got into him???
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Well, he was listening to the men talk about her and it was not the Hermione he knew. And Severus is not one to partake in idle gossip and talk about his feelings. And one thing men like is a mysterious woman. After hearing all about how gorgeous and intelligent she was, and gaining a foothold in a wizard's business was like a double turn-on. He took a "Lily substitute" to have sex with, but Lily doesn't do it for him anymore. I needed to show that Lily has been bested by this new and intriguing Hermione with the clever name. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Hmm, Severus really knows how to pick those red heads! Sweet girl! So what's with the thoughts of Hermione? He plugs himself into this other girl and re-awakens Little Sev? Vagina memories? A divining 'rod' seeking home? [Don't mind me ... blame the snow.]OK, I'm going to be dense here - why is SS running into Alice when he comes back from Azkaban? [The snow is interfering with my reception.]
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Well, I needed to show that he has gotten his thing for Lily. He is intrigued and confused by this new sexy and business-like Hermione. It's like a double turn-on. Brains and a body. She's a mystery and men love that. That is all right! The Arctic Blast has pushed me to the edge! Well, Alice does live in Hogwarts and I need for them to meet up once in a while for more similarities between mother and daughter can be shown! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Every time a new chapter loads, I get that shiver of excitement- surely /now/ he'll discover the secret? Surely he's got to find out? The dimple, the middle name, the discovery of each little part getting him closer and closer... and every chapter we have to wait just that next bit longer. Agony! How it cuts like a knife (though a fictional one). I won't be annoying and beg for more, but I will say that I eagerly await your next chapter- your story has me drawn in like few do.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Oh, yes. He will get closer and closer as the chapters go by. Then heaven help us all when he does get it all figured it out! Let's see if Luna's ways can sort him out so he isn't breathing TNT all over the castle! :)Thanks for your compliments and your reviews!Livvy
Hot naughty hot naughty hot hot hot! How close to the truth are we??? Ooooohhh!!!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
We are getting there... I know I am evil. But we have to give Hermione time. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
The situation is almost frightening. Severus, now the proverbial dog gnawing on a bone, said bone being the image of Hermione the 'huntress'... who at this point in her life has probably tried to put her past experience with Severus as far behind her as possible. Though she will never be rid of the memory, nor what their joining produced, and what she has tried to protect.Love this. I look eagerly toward the time when your update graces the pages here.Thank you again for sharing~

Yes, the last thing Hermione wants is a run in with Snape. But let's see what he can do to unruffle her feathers. :)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
The 'hunt' is on for the identity of the girl in the burlap sack. This does not bode well for Hermione. Severus has the drive of guilt behind him, plus the want for truth.Exciting, and well written. Thanks again~
