I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.
Admins' Note: Livvy6 died suddenly on February 22, 2012, leaving behind her husband, six-year-old daughter, and seventeen stories well-loved by the TPP community. All who knew her—including those in Harry Potter fandom and all of us, here—are richer for having known her.
Requiescat in pace, Livvy. Always.

Very sad, and exactly what I imaginge Gran to be. A beautiful story, yet I felt it finished somewhere in the middle. Maybe and epilogue?
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Oh, no. This is going to be a multi-chapter fic. I don't know how many. I haven't divded the fic into chapters all the way yet, but at least twenty. There is more to come, for sure! Thanks,Livvy
Jack had points about Hermione needing to move on and forge new memories to lessen the hold her rape had on her. However, I think he pressed the issue too much, no matter how much he tried to let her come to that on her own. Is the fact that he knows (of) Snape going to come into play in the future? Is he going to hold this over Snape's head?Snape already knows that Alice Hermione isn't Luna or Neville's child. (And is that dimple from him?) I look forward to seeing what happens next from his experienceand or POV!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Yes, Jack pushed Hermione before she was ready. His repulsion at her giving away her baby really sealed the deal. He just didn't have enough compassion for her situation. Rather selfish, really. No. he won't be backAs for the dimple, I'm saving that for a later chapter (which is already written) everything will be known in due time. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
This had to be a difficult time for Hermione. Having made a friend of Jack and then realizing that he had fallen in love with her must have felt like dreaming a peaceful dream and then having it morph into a nightmare scenario. This must have been the last thing she would have wanted to have to confront. The way you described her reaction was very believable, and I found myself wondering what would have happened with their relationship if he had not pushed the issue. However I am glad that he did push too hard because now she can get on with her life and perhaps have a chance to come to terms with everything before she meets Severus again. After all, she still dreams about Severus and wonders whether he ever thinks about her. I’m betting he will be thinking about her plenty!!!

Yes, Severus is dogged by the terrible thoughts of the girl in the muslin bag. He has no idea who she is, but they will meet again in a way neither of them expected! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I think the good thing of this situation is that Hermione finally has told someone the whole story. She needed that to move on and to make decisions about how to handle her past. If she is not ready to face her daughter yet - which I can fully understand - she might be able to look at her from a distance. Why not ask Luna and Neville for a picture so that she at least has some idea how her daughter looks like?

Yes, Hermione needed to get it out. Not that Jack was the best person... but at least she did it, survived it, and now has realized she needs to stand on her own and face life. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Oh man, Hermione has issues that are going to take some serious time and effort to overcome. How could she not given her situation? It is too bad that things didn't work out with Jack. Not that I wanted her to ultimately end up with him, but he has a good point that she needs to understand that sex can be a good, positive, loving experience. Maybe it has to be Snape who shows her that. Still, I'm glad she was strong and stood up for herself, knowing what was best for her for the time being anyway. I am equally glad that she has started the career that she wanted. It is important that she figure out who she is and what she wants before she tries to add Snape or Alice Hermione into the equation. I like your A/N which says things will get complicated after this chapter. I happened to think they got complicated in this chapter. Makes me nervous for what is to come. I look very forward to getting a bit of Snape's POV as to what is happening, and the mystery of Alice Hermione's parentage. Great chapter! I hope more is up soon.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
LOL! Snape's POV will defiantly cause more complication. It's going to be quite a mystery to Severus, "who is Alice's mum and dad?"Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Interesting... I hope everything is ok for you in real life livvy. Thanks for the update
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
You're welcome. RL is what it is. I live in Michigan, so "The Great Recession" is really sucking for us here in the motor city. But at least we have Fan-fiction to get away from it all! :)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Interesting chapter. If this wasn't complicated enough already, how much more complicated can it get? ^_^
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Oh, it will get quite complex. Next chapter should be up soon...Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Sigh. He didn't love her, then. He loved what he thought she was.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Just like what happens in RL, unfortunately. But Hermione wasn't ready anyway. She needs to get on her feet and live her own life, get that Hermione spark back :)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I think its another certain potions master that she needs to be with and will truly understand. Look forward to update.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
I wholeheartedly agree, but he needs to do some growing himself as well before they can meet up.Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Jack was an older wizard, but not so much older that there couldn’t be an attraction between them. His back was strong and his shoulders wide. He could work for hours on end without tiring.Obviously Mr Jack Muldoon was not strong in the way he needed to be. Strong like Hermione had to be to do what was right for the child under the circumstances.I'm so glad she didn't cave to this guys sweet talk. I truly can not see Hermione's character being the way Rita Skeeter writes her in the Prophet, and HG is still way to torn and confused about what happened to her.I had to laugh at your comment that things were going to get complicated after this chapter. YOU write a complicated story! How shocking!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
LOL! Me? Angst? Never! ;) Yes, Hermione has to get her back up and figure out her life for herself. Breaking from Jack was the first of some good choices she'll be making. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Strange that she should almost come full circle, staying with a much older man who's a Potions Master. Unfortunately for her, it's the wrong Potions Master who's fallen in love with her!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Yes, and it was good for her to break from him. Not that she'll give Severus an easy time either... but I get ahead of myself :)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
thanks for the update

Oh a perfect introduction of Alice Hermione, she's just too cute and too funny. In fact by being the way she is, she already proves her grandmother right. She was able to have this undisturbed childhood in which she grew into a confident 4jr old because of the sacrifice of her mother. Just imagine how life for such a headstrong child with a strong sense of justice would have been if everyone had indeed pitied her as a rape child. Snape has always been good at spying and deducting so it will be interesting to see how soon he will figure out things. If he gets in touch with Hermione - either when he needs rare potion ingredients or when she visits Neville and Luna - will he then start to see what's odd about Alice Hermione and put two and two togheter?Hope you'll update soon..
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
My beta has the chapter. It should get in the queue soon. True, Alice was able to have her formative years full of love and stability. Those things she wouldn't have had if her true parentage had been known. I hope you enjoy how I get SNape to figure out Alice's parentage. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Poor Hermione! I'm not surprised she was overwhelmed, however.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
She is now dealing with her feelings that are new, so her default is to push away. Sad.Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Okay, now I'm wondering why he didn't think Luna just cheated on Nevil and got him to own up to the kid. Hmmmmmm. I can't wait to read how you play this one.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Snape? He probably thinks Luna doesn't have enough drive in her to cheat. I mean, she let people steal her shoes and didn't get pissed. Probably thinks she lacks the imagination.LOL! Good idea, though. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I LOVE ALICE!!! Just how wicked can a girl be, with the boldness of a Gryff mother and the cunning of a Slytherin father, wrapped up in one little body? Very! But, I am disappointed that from the first day Snape meets Alice, he is already doubting that the Longbottoms are her true parents. All on a dimple? He could make a bid for Trelawney's job with that kind of 'inner eye'.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Oh, no. It's quite astute. Dimples are hereditary. Not only that, it is one of those dominant traits. Attached earlobes, cleft chins, eye color. This is scientific FACT. For Alice to have that dimple, either her mom or dad has to have one as well. It's just the way nature works. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Response from Darque Hart (Reviewer)
Really! Nature is a curious thing; I have learned something new. And who am I to say that Severus is anything but astute.
dimples are dominant? You learn something new every day. Carry on!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Thanks! :)Livvy
I knew Severus would at least become a bit suspicious of little Alice... It's in his nature right? I can't wait to see what happens when he actually puts it all together. And poor Hermione. What will she do. I'll be looking forward to reading more.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Absolutely! Snape will be thrust into an obsession of needing to know who Alice's mother and father are. I hope you like how I set it up!Thanks!Livvy
I had to look it up. Dimples are a dominant feature. Who knew? Who had dimples? Hermione? We never see Severus smile so we'd never know.....lol... I can't wait for more!!!!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
LOL! It is Hermione. I hope you like how Snape figures that out. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Bwah! Oh my- *wrings hands, gnashes teeth* This is all getting tremendously juicy. Can't wait to see the next chapter. Or, I can, but I do so with bated breath!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
I'm glad you are enjoying it so much! The next chapter should be up soon! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I love this. Are dimples genetic? My family all has them so I've never thought much about it. I'll have to google it.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
YES! I had to research it to make sure it fit with the story. Cool, huh? Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Excellent chapter! Alice has both her partents traits. I don't think it will be to long before Snape finds out who she really is. Loved the Neville quote “What did she do? Break your wards and steal into your stores?” brilliant. She may do one day just like her mother.
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Glad you liked that! Oh, yes, something will push Snape to become obsessed trying to find out who Alice's parents are. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
So Severus suspects something does he. I can't help but think that he doesn't deserve being a father, but thus he is so I guess I'll have to hope to get a better view on him during the story:-))
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Yes, Snape isn't shining at the moment, is he? Well, he'll have his chances later. ;)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Hello LivvyUhoh - Snape's instincts as a spy are quite alert yet, aren't they? I'm sure he'll not rest until he discovers the truth. And what then? He'll not be pleased either, I suppose. And what has Hermione done in the course of the last three years? I'm looking forward to the next chapter! Please update soon :)
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
Nope, Snape will not give up, especially when he realizes he may have a stake in the mystery. I hope you like what I have panned out for Hermione. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Well they got off to a fabulous start! Maybe in a good twenty years or so they will be able to look back at their first meeting and laugh. She stood in front of him, her huge dark eyes looking up at him imploringly. “I’m sorry we lost our tempers,” she whispered.I love this girl already! I'm with Luna. It is funny that Snape finds Alice Hermione to be so horrid. If he were raising her, he would probably be more strict than I expect the Longbottoms to be, but still, kids are born with certain ingrained personality traits, and nothing you do will change that. Sorry about your bad genes, Snape. Great chapter!
Response from livvy6 (Author of La Chasseresse)
I'm glad you love our little Alice Hermione! Having kids can be a real bitch because they might act just like you :)Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
