Wow Brandy you sure got me speechless for a few minutes. I am glad that Harry and Snape knew she what she was under, I am surprised that Mad Eye didn't recongize him being an ex Auror and all. I can't wait to see how this story develops.

And so the happy ending begins ... yay!  And even though we have left Dumbledore behind, I know he will get what he deserves.  Hermione can wash her hands of him and sleep at night knowing she was the bigger person.  But, life will come back to bite him in some way.  And everyone wins.  Nice ending.

Thank you for this story, Brandy.  It has been a joy to follow as both Severus and Hermione fought their way through all manner of sad and difficult challenges.Here at the end I like the way you showed Hermione still fighting the darkness inside, and Severus offering his wisdom and support.  Eventually she will be able to leave those dark thoughts behind, and the memory of Dumbledore's ruthless way of treating her will have less and less power to affect her life.I think the two of them will have a very happy life as husband and wife, and maybe even a few little Snapes to complete their family.  Thank you again for sharing your gift for writing with us.Beth

very good. i really love this story and can't wait to read more. i actually thought harry was going to come crashing thru the door for being turned away.

I've been dipping in & out of this story for a long time &, like some of the other reviewers, am not sure if I've reviewed before - if not, then it's very remiss of me so I'm now rectifying it :-)  In fact I don't think I've reviewed on many of your fics at all, despite reading most & being a big fan of yours.  You write so incredibly well & make both Snape & Hermione very believable every time, whatever the situation. Now I'm really looking forward to keeping up with this particular fic & to seeing where it all goes :-)

Thanks for a wonderful chapter!I haven't reviewed before, I think. I was having some trouble with your Dark!Hermione here -- it isn't showing explicitly before she contemplates all those death scenarios. Maybe I missed some hints. The pair so gradually developing a relationship, that's expertly done. I also like Draco; he's definitely matured beyond being his father's son. It was about time, but some simply never do. 

What a good cliffhanger it is too. This was sad yet hopeful chapter. Sad to hear about his mother and her parents and yet hopeful to hear Severus talk about the future and see their relationship continue. Looking forward to more.

There was a wide range of emotions in this chapter. Sweet, sad, pensive and worrisome. I have a feeling the next chapter's going to be something else entirely!
