Considered pariah by Wizarding society, and spurned by those she had held most dear to her during her time of need, Hermione turns to Severus Snape to guide her through her struggle with the darkness and her desire for revenge.

I write fan fiction: I am a big SS/HG shipper, but I also like RL/HG, DM/LL and tastefully written Dramione or Lumione on occasion.
I photoshop: I use photoshop an awful lot to create my own banners and edit photos - I love my DSLR.
I am a bibliophile: Paperback, hardcover, graphic novel, fiction or non-fiction. You name it, I read it and collect it.
SEVERUS SNAPE IS MY ONE TRUE LOVE!!!
Reviews for Fallen Sparrow
Quite the exciting yet tragic beginning. And a kiss by Fenrir, yuck. I love the first chapter.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks so much! :D
Snape is so wonderful to be trying to help her. He didn't have to take on the resposibility of her, but a part of me wonders if perhaps he is doing so because he feels that he is partially to blame for all of this. I look forward to the next chapter!
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Perhaps he does feel some guilt. As to whether that is the whole truth or not is left to be seen. Thanks.
She really is just as much of a victim as Ron was - psychologically rather than physically, but hurt nonetheless. I am enjoying this so far.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks for following.
How horrible it must be for her to have all of that rushing back to her all in one go. I feel s sorry for Hermione, but I am glad she has Luna.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Luna is the best. Thanks!
There's a contradiction here You mentioned in the first chapter that Hermione had been out of Hogwarts for seven years but in this chapter Snape says that Harry is 21.
I'm really looking forward to more.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks for pointing that out - I meant to change it to 25, but it seems that the mistake slipped past myself and my beta. Thanks for reviewing.
Interesting premise. I will continue to read this to see where it goes.
Hermione doesn't seem dark right now. Going on to the next chapter. It's a promising start. :)
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
There has to be some sort of gradual build-up to the darkness - not everything works like instant darkness powder :p Thanks for reviewing.
Ahhhh he is safe for at least one more chapter. Poor Hermione and Severus going through all that tension waiting to hear back!
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Heheh, funny that you never mentioned the kiss :p Thanks for reviewing.
Harry has always relied on the advice of others. I agree with Snape that he should be deciding things for himself, expecially if he's twenty-one years old. Past time, in my opinion. ^_^
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
25 years old actually. But even at 20, I face up to my responsibilities better than he does. Lol. Thanks.
I am so disappointed in Harry Potter. How could he just leave Hermione to fend for herself in the aftermath of Ron's death? She has such a long road ahead of her trying to come to terns with having been Imperioused into killing Ron. I don't know how far down she will have to sink before she can find a safe place to try to rebuild her life, but I do understand that she will have to survive a very dark time before she can have a chance to heal. You portray her tenuous hold on reality very well, and I can only hope she will have enough strength to keep herself together long enough to find her way back. Severus has a difficult road ahead of himself as he tries to help this fragile young woman to find her way back before it is too late. Thanks for another emotionally intense chapter, and I look forward to your next update!Beth
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks Beth :) I was toying with the idea of making Harry supportive, but I decided that I needed him to be unsupportive in order for Snape to play such a huge role in her recovery etc. Thanks again, so much :)
It's going to be very frustrating for us readers anticipating them to become sexually closer, when they really are better off taking it at a slower pace. But you know us all, only happy when they're shagging each other's brains out! LOL! I can see Draco becoming like a brother to them both, because he understands both sides of what they have to do - and that's a very exclusive postition to be in.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks for reviewing!
Draco is safe; Lucius is plotting; and Voldemort is vain. All seems to be in order here. ^_^
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Exactly. Thanks for reviewing.
Yes, Draco is safe! ... and the Dark Lord took the bait. Vain bastard he is, he loves gifts just as you said he would, and he sprayed it on him then and there. Yay! I hope the potion works quickly. I really like the tender moments between Hermione and Severus. A caress, a kiss, it all means so much when one is living in such a pressure cooker. I'm glad they have reached this point in their relationship.Beth
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks so much Beth :)
Great chapter - I'm glad the potion will be working! Plus, loving how slowly the relationship between the two of them is building. P.S. I'm so glad Draco's alright!
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks so much for reviewing!
Oh wow, that went well! I can't wait to see what happens next.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks! Next chapter up soon as.
It's a relief that Draco is ok ... for now anyway. I do hope things turn out ok, and I hope that Severus takes to heart what Hermione said to him about Dumbledore. Yes, the man did him a favor, but he shouldn't be indebted to him for life. Looking forward to more and am a little apprehensive that the plan went too smoothly for Draco.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Heheh, or maybe it went just smoothly enough :p Thanks!
I feel so sorry for Hermione, and for Snape as well. He is trying to help her, and yet she can't resist the urge to say something cruel to drive him away. At least he understands that she is dealing with the aftermath of the Imperious Curse and what she was forced (against her will) to do. Hopefully between the ministrations of Snape and Madam Pomfrey she will find a measure of security in which to gain more mastery of her life. What a terrible place for her to be!I'm a bit confused about the time line. In chapter two you wrote "It had been seven years since she had graduated her seventh year, and the last thing she could recall before waking up was being in the library at Grimmauld Place, researching curses with Professor Snape and Luna Lovegood." Then here in chapter three when Hermione attended her first meal in the Great Hall you write that "She felt uncomfortable under the watchful eyes of students she had attended school with just three short years beforehand." I'm sure I've missed something.I'm looking forward to your next chapter. In your A/N you said that Hermione would be becoming darker, but I hope she will have a way to find her way back to the light before all is said and done. Great work, Angela.Hugs, Beth
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks for pointing out that over-looked mistake. I had to change the timeline at some point when I remembered that Hermione had to be 25 or over. I am glad you are enjoying it so far, but there will be darker moments - however, She does have Snape to guide her through it now :)
I cannot even begin to imagine how horrible it would be to have all of those suppressed memories unleashed at once. I know there was not other way, but the horror of seeing everything that had taken place come rushing at her in a matter of moments would have done me in.
You've painted a very clear picture of what had happened, and now I can't wait to see how it all plays out!
Beth
Before I reviewed I wanted to find out what the challenge prompt entailed, and after seeing that it required Hermione to kill Ron I have to tell you that you've written a spectacular first chapter. Having Fenrir Greyback put Hermione under the Imperious Curse is a brilliant way to have her do the unthinkable and afterward to have to try to live with what she had been forced to do.
Thank goodness Snape was there to see that she had been under the curse, otherwise her wish to have a quick death might have been granted by Mad-Eye. Harry knew that she had just helped him against Bellatrix and that she wasn't a turncoat, but I'm not sure Harry's thoughts on the matter alone could have dissuaded Moody from doing the unthinkable himself to Hermione.
I can't wait to see how everything plays out!!!
Beth
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
The requirements of the challenge were that Hermione had to kill Ron, become dark, and end up with an older man. Pretty sure I fulfilled all of those requirements :p Thanks so much for reviewing!
Hermione felt her blood boil in her veins and her magic crackle to the tips of her fingers, seeking Dumbledore out.I found myself hoping that even though she was in a different room, that her anger would be so strong that her magic would do something to Dumbledore. Not something that would get her in serious trouble, but maybe like her pillow incident, Dumbledore would find himself covered with poison ivy or something. Oh, what the heck, let's cover Moody with the stuff while we're at it. Those two make my blood boil.In the end, Snape is so good to her, knosing just what she needs. What would have become of her if not for him?
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Heheh, well aren't we all glad, including myself, that we do NOT know what would have become of her if not for Snape's support. Thanks for the review.
I was pleased to see a new chapter. YAY!You really gave me the urge to slap somebody. They best not get Hermione on a PMS day.If she's that pissed off now.......Looking forward to then next installment!
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Thanks, it's almost here!
Dumbledore = jerk.
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
:) He is a jerk. That's the idea :p Thanks for the review.
Where's the 'like' button? I wanna like this! ^_^
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Hahahahah, it's not facebook :p Thanks for reviewing!
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
Yeah, but I've never wanted to like anything on facebook. ^_~
OMG! I can't believe they think so ill of Hermione! I don't get why they don't believe her! They're all so MEAN! I'm glad she and Snape have each other.Excellent!
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
They are all just out for themselves, and to them, Hermione is just a means to their own ends. It is fortunate that she does have someone on her side :) Thanks for reviewing.
I hope Dumbledore gets his comeuppance sometime soon! And I hope that Severus did hear what Hermione said. Thanks so much for the update!! x
Response from Hanagasume (Author of Fallen Sparrow)
Heh, well we'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for the review.
