I am not surprised that Hermione resorts to shatever is necessary to get the job done, even 'borrowing' priceless books. After all, this is the girl who put Rita Skeeter and Dolores Umbridge in their places...there has always been a Slytherin streak in that girl, bless her!I love that they both have been alone for very long and SHE is the one who has become rude and impatient.

What a coincidence that Hermione's home and lab, and heck her life is the very stuff of Severus' dreams for post-war life.  Funny how Hermione has become more Slytherin over time, stealing napkins and 'borrowing' books.  This chapter has a great blend of emotional depth and humor.  Great work!

Great update. I hope you will let Severus take full advantage of Hermiones happiness over talking to someone "usefull":-)) He should be Slytherin enough to wringle some kind of deal out of this; them working together, he helping her, and she helping him, making sure that he has some fun along the way (said fun should of course not be hurtfull for Hermione, more enjoyable and lasting comes to mind:-))))

This is another good chapter.  I liked that he is in touch with is feelings.  At least Severus had a fantasy.

Just wanted to offer a quick note to say that this is one of my favourite stories; I'm enjoying it immensley, the way you weave both the character's and their thoughts through the story (and your description of the world around them), both solemn, yet humerous. I am very interested in how everything will work-out (or not) with the ministry; foremost, however, is this adventure into the beautiful amazon!

Oh man... SEVERUS! What were you THINKING? Scratch that -- he WASN'T thinking! He went straight from wanting her desperately to self-preservation in less than the blink of an eye. StupidStupidStupid. It was a lovely update -- I adored the details about the location, and the pictures were awesome. I was very happy to see an update. :)

Please forgive me for leaving a review on just this chapter, although I sat down and read all of them at one go last night.I read very little SS/HG (lack of time rather than inclincation), but I'm glad I picked this "off the shelf." Your characters are recognizably their canon selves, but you've given them so much more depth, especially Hermione. It's rare that I read her and think, "Gee, I'd like to know her," but that's certainly the case here. And your Severus is wonderfully morally ambiguous--no glamorized, rehabilitated, misunderstood anti-hero he, and that's all to the good. But I find myself rooting for him, warts and all. The backstory with the venom and the scar is wonderful, and the details of Hermione's new business are absolutely delightful.Looking forward to reading more.

I dont like the idea of SEverus committing sucide rather than going back to prision. Then again I dont much fancy the idea of him back in Azkaban either. I do hope this has a senerio he hasnt thought of yet...

This chapter was the typical, predictable, and quintessential Snape.  Poor guy can't keep this heart and his mouth on the same page to save him.  I can't wait to find out what Hermione meant by her last remark.  Maybe it will lead Severus to explain his true feelings and his life long tendency to say the damnedest things at absolutely the wrong moment.
