Heh. Wait till he explains THAT to her. :p
Fascinating that he could walk through her wards while under the influence of the potion. I bet that was an unplanned bonus.
But it would have really been funny if he had been forced to wait outside, in all his naked glory for all the world to see, before he could get her attention and get back in the house.
Now he knows, most certainly, that she turns him on. But will he ever admit it to her?
Well of course he had to be the test subject. Hysterically funny (especially when he suddenly realized she might be able to see his seen) and altogether perfect.
Is it wrong that I found the very last sentence to be fucking HILARIOUS?? Too bad she didn't hear him and not let on. I wonder if he's going to tell her he can get thru her wards?
I am loving this story!
Well, we got some very interesting results, didn't we? He really needs to tell her all that when she can hear him. rofl
Hard as Chinese arithmancy. LOL, Severus had to take advantage of this opportunity... it had been too long... *pun intended* I thoroughly loved his reaction to realizing what might happen when he ejaculated. I almost wish Hermione had realized it, too, but that would be too much too soon, I think.
Hermione's Invisibility Potion worked better than either of them could have hoped, and I think it won't be long (just until they can brew the potions she has to ship to her customers) before she will want to go to South America. And I can't wait.
Excellent
Fucking hell, yes, it had been worth it.
Thanks for this wonderful chapter and for making me laugh.
Beth
I wouldn't go for a cointoss either. Sensible girl Hermione. On the other hand I wouldn't go for a PSS game with him either. Sounding paranoid I still thinks he would be able to manipulated any game you would try.

Great story! I just discovered it and read it in one go so far. I love your no-nonsense Hermione and all the "chemical" detail you introduced, and your making up of words is deligthful. I'm glad you're explaining them, as English is not my first language and I wouldn't understand it sometimes otherwise.
Your Severus nearly breaks my heart. So bad, his fate so far... I just hope you make things better for him! ;o)
Author's Response: Thank you! Unfortunately, things are going to get worse for our professor before they get better. But they will get better.
Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: Ah, nothing like a good bit of nice hurt/comfort! :o) As long as there is a promise to be better in the end... ;o)
And they're off and planning. I tend to agree with Severus about Crooks. Clean or not, they shed, and that can lead to problems in the lab.
You know, when I saw 'praetorist,' I was impressed at your digging-up of old words ability. Oh well. Not a new words I can use, but I've got to compliment you on your ability to pass off new words as obscure old ones. Maybe you should have a hack at the Webster's databases, just for fun. As for SSB... hmmm. Have to think about that one.

Just one of my many, many nonremunerative skills.
That's got to be the best chapter title ever! If I hadn't already been reading (and really loving) this story, I'd start just to find out about pig bogeys on my jeans. :D
Love the way she bosses him around. :)
Silken Shoal Backwater, eh? Yes... a mystery... I'm sure Severus will do his best to find out just what the significance of this name is. While he's figuring out how to get into Hermione's knickers, no doubt.
Severus' reaction to Crookshanks allowed a bit of his old personality to show through, but Hermione gave as good as she got with regard to her familiar. I can't wait to see how the brewing goes in the next few of weeks. And will Severus ever get around to expanding the tent to include a second bedroom? Hummmmmm....

Philtrist, eh? I love it. I would just like to say that I am very impressed with how you worked that in. It was a word I had never seen before and yet I could easily make out its meaning.
(Also, loving this story!)
Brilliant update, I love the banter between them:-)) I am very much looking forward to see if he kiss her first or tries to kill her first...
Uh huh. Silken Shoal, eh? *Really*? And Snape isn't putting that one together?
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Not yet. But to be fair to him, it's a bit obscure.
Nice to see her in command, and glad she's not quite as nervous. Snape seems somewhat impressed with her. that's a good sign.
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Mmm...expect wibbling.
Philtrist! If it wasn't a word, it should have been one. I knew exactly what it meant without having to rely on the context. You turn a neat phrase - looking forward to following along with this story!
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Thank you! It's a dream of mine to make a lasting contribution to fanon, so here's hoping it survives.
Yes! They're going to work together tomorrow!
I was so pleased they had the time to talk about so many things. And I was very happy with her opinion of the way Severus had been treated, and Harry's part in that total miscarriage of justice.
The topics of Hermione's research are fascinating. I'm sure that Severus is interested in them, too. But I wonder if his interest in Hermione's wellbeing won't trump his orders from Shacklebolt in the end?
Great chapter!

I think you can expect Snape to suffer some serious conflicts of loyalty.
Thank you for another delightful chapter. I wonder if Hermione and Severus will try her Invisibility Potion... and take off their clothes, of course.
Beth
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Why, yes. Yes, they will. Or at least one of them will.
Although really, we’ve been quite . . . intimate, if you think about it. Shit, I wonder if he IS thinking about it? Oh ho! Now this little tidbit of information really set my imagination in gear! Lovely chapter and I'm looking forward to Hermione's lab... and finding out just what this "hint at intimacy" is all about.Beth
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Hermione's lab is, of course, awesome. I want to go there.
Nice beginning, and I'm hooked. It makes me sad to think that Severus spent so many years in Azkaban—with Dementors. It's good to see him "enjoying the sights" now that he is out of that dreadful prison. And can that young woman crawling under the tables be our Miss Granger? Woo hoo! I believe it is. *grins*Beth
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
*grins* Of course it is.
I love love love this story!! Your descriptions on locations make me feel like I'm with the characters! Can't wait for the next chapter!
Potions brought into the 21st century. Brilliant! :)
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Not to mention other continents, coming right up. Thanks!
Sounds like she and Harry fell out over Severus. Interesting. :)
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Among other things.
